The "age of consent" law wasn't called that in Russia. It was the marriageable age law since the Tsarists assumed no one would be having sex before they were married and the Bolsheviks just copy-pasted it.

What? I've never heard of that. I even had to Google it and yes, it's not in the constitution. You can be 90 y/o and it's legal to fuck a 16 y/o.
