I have a spreadsheet of all of the jobs I've ever applied for over the last decade. Of the approximate 200 roles, around 65% never gave me any response, 4% sent me a rejection letter, 13% have screened me, and 10% have interviewed me.

I wish everyone did this so I could compare data.

That would make me hate my life more. Tbh I don't think I've ever applied for that many jobs in my life and I'm 42. I have job now though. Maybe people just like me for some reason? I don't even think I'm that attractive or charming or even that experienced to get any job. I just think that I shouldn't bother if I'm certain not to get a job which was usually a good decision. Of course the current job I have is probably not the type to be too picky which is the kind of job I usually like taking not because the jobs are good but because you're more likely to get it.

im tired of all the recruiter ladies trying to fuck me. everytime i apply to a job these 40 year old HR women be hitting on me trying to suck my dick. plus the economy is so shit i end up fucking them anyways just to get the job

what do you need a job for?

Like 30-40 of the jobs I applied to in the last two months. We're definitely in a recession that no one has called yet.

Too ugly to prostitute myself and too honest to steal, so here I am

sometimes I think I should spend a year or so making up the perfect scam to be set for life, like creating a fake identity to get loans or investments by selling bullshit and disappearing with the money, but thats already too much like work.

Life is just work. That's it. And no one really likes working. I think that's why we have classes of people that force others to work. Otherwise they would have to be doing the unpleasant work. That's also why crime will probably never disappear.

10% interview raten is actually pretty good, mine is 5 at best.

I have only ever applied to a single job and they hired me.

Don't feel bad, OP. An astounding chunk of those jobs were never hiring at all!

I have saved almost 300 rejection letters since April 2025. I have had 4 interview processes that went to the last step in the last year and of course I didn't get the job. I have been looking for a new job for over two years. Many of these jobs have descriptions that basically is the same shit as my current job, but I can't fucking win.
