What are some Youtube channels about History that aren't run by Right-Wing hacks? I'd prefer ones that analyze History through a Marxist lense but I can (And do) settle for Left-Liberals who at least know what they're talking about.

Historia Civilis is OK

i avoid history youtube for the same reasons TBH.
however i will give a shout out to this channel. his bread and buttler is cold war deep poltics but he's done a excellent series on the history of modern Japan, well researched, and does say he comes from a materialist analysis and sounds like some sort of marxist although he doesnt explicitly say it but thats fair enough.

Veritas et Caritas does a lot of high-quality reactslop and has a playlist were he details his research methodology and evaluates other channels.

Mystai is a trained archeologist, who does detailed video essays on ancient history.

Studium Historiae also makes well-researched videos, primarily on medieval history.

Most anons probably already know Fredda from his dwarffortress video. He has a degree in history and talks mostly about 19th to 20th century topics.

I quite like esoterica for very narrow esoteric religious history

both these channels are great Ancient Americas is pretty good too, focuses on the history of different native groups in the Americas.

his videos on Work and Cities kinda blew my mind ngl

Historia Civilis is really good, probably my personal favorite. He's clearly knowledgable and well-read, and is undeniably at least somewhat sympathetic to the Marxist analysis of history.

Thank you for the suggestions, rarely is LeftyPol so helpful.

jean michel dufays if you inderstand french and are ok with a boring delivery of interesting content

Atun-Shei is good but he does other stuff on his channel like fiction and movie reviews (usually of historical stuff though)

meant to say he does other stuff on his channel *too* - he has a lot of history content.

mark felton and indy niedel are pretty good

Gives butthurt to the Epsteinites from all sides

Neidel gets very liberal at times. I had to stop watching TImeghost because of it. it was bad enough during their WW2 run. I can't imagine how much worse it is when they're doing the Korean War. or maybe it's decent?

the tribunate. he analyses the roman empire from a materialist perspective
