One of the most embarrassing things about living in Britain is the internet revealing that American liberals/leftists are much better than ours while our Conservatives got totally mind-enslaved by American right memes. We went from being like 10% poorer than the US but thinking of ourselves as much smarter and less evil, to having Brexit and Twitter show the entire world our own retarded side, all while the economic gap has continued to grow. It's at the point where the best thing for Britain would be just becoming the 51st state.

Not that the states are looking so hot, pretty much every Trump policy is insane "my imperial vassals are actually ripping me off" idiocy. Still, better to be at the center (or is it centre) of the action than sitting here in this low status wasteland.

For guns maybe. Abysmal labor laws create serf like conditions during work hours and often after. Draconian surveillance and censorship by developed world standards. Largest prison population per capita. Walking outside illegal in some places.
