How do you get into mushrooming?
I love mushrooms and I love the idea of foraging a bunch of free, tasty food that can serve both as its own dish and as a flavor enhancer in other dishes, but there's also the huge risk of getting poisoned, especially with all the edible mushrooms having very poisonous lookalikes. Is there a way for a beginner mushroomer to get into it safely?

Just don't pick up the mushrooms that are obviously showing that they're toxic and you're very likely to be fine.

>>802690>You can search for you area and they will probably have a guide of mushrooms you can forage that have no poisonous lookalikes in your area.google "foraging mushrooms + the area you live in" and your local government probably has guides about mushrooms that don't have poisonous "lookalikes" meaning that there are no poison ones in the area that look like that particular edible mushroom. I've heard in Europe they have local government offices where you can bring in your foraged mushrooms and they'll check them for you.
