Aslong as you have capitalism and as long you have nation states you will have imperialism.
Only establishing a communist movement in an imperialized nation that overthrows both capitalism and imperialism will ever accomplish change. Reactionaries and nationalists are only opposed to imperialisms because its in their material interests as the victims of it. There is nothing stopping or preventing then from again imperialising another group after they have developed the productive forces to do so.
