Why are modern hollywood movies so gray and colorless in comparison to older films? Not to mention the acting is worse now.

There are plenty of modern movies with vibrant colors. Sheep Detective just came out. You clearly dont watch movies
Colour is for kids. You know a movie is serious when it is all gray and colourless.

I heard it's because recording on film is more colorful and that it's harder to do color correction with film. And also because modern producers color correct their movies very heavily, removing colors that don't fit the very specific color palette they want for the mood of each scene. But I'm not a cinema understander, so I could be wrong
