>got in
>went to panels
>went to the dealer's den
>got pics with fursuiters
>saw a local dj who im on good terms with despite shittalking her online, she blocked me but because i saw her at a show my mom fucking took me to i was able to apologize and she found that respectable enough to give me a second chance
>actually enjoyed my time
>went to the late-night rave/dance and got fucked up and danced my ass off
>actually confident this time despite being rather too old for tomfoolery but maybe not, wore a sports bra because im on hrt and short shorts and some nice boots
>this group of people found my dancing-while-waiting-for-my-turn-for-drinks so enticing that they talked to me and complemented me and i told them about my aforementioned mom taking me while pregnant with me to music festivals and shit
>me, my friend that took me there, her boyfriend, and this entourage of people organized an impromptu room party
>it wasn't anything wild but it was really nice

the best part is i did see people who didnt like me but they seemed to be reserved at worst. one was this guy who invited me to the pet play club. i saw this fucking guy staring down at me as i walked by him, as Frank Sinatra's "My Way" was sung by someone doing karaoke. pretty fitting tbh

i was gonna kill myself on the 22nd after a long time of contemplating, this had been a set date for a while, but, now i think i wanna try to live.
