>>809773I am the opposite, I don't know if I'm the life of the party but I don't find socializing to be particularly difficult. what I find difficult is having to dance around other people and their sensibilities, trying not to step on anyone's toes, rub them the wrong way, if you know what I'm saying, because I care about being an amicable and "good" person, which basically means you have to restrict how you really feel a lot of the time unless you can find a way to say it "appropriately" and basically, I totally understand why there are so many hikikkomoris in japan who are fed up with the bullshit of always have to be super polite and have opted to stay in their rooms from now until the heat death of the universe.
that and you can never tell who is going to be an insufferable cunt until you take the time to speak with them, and really, it's pulls in your favorite gacha or whatever, at some point you decide to put down cash because you know you're gonna get a good roll (which I guess would be the equivalent of only associating with a particular type of person because you think there's a significantly higher chance they're going to be "good people") or you just stop playing all together (which would be like foregoing socialization entirely).
I would say "fuck people because they suck" but I know that in the aggregate that can't be true, there are some good people, maybe even the majority of people are good, but there are also a lot of shit people, so I've opted to just stop giving a shit about people all together, which means I have to be fine with being alone, and for now I tell myself that I am fine with that.
I have you, anon. you're my best friend. we talk every day, and even though a lot of the time you can be a dipshit, you're alright with me (mostly because I don't know what you look like, I don't have to deal with your bullshit, and it's just bantz + whatever ideas you have, which I can engage with or disregard at my leisure). it's really the most optimal form of human relationship.
