I am not attracted to men, though I can appreciate when a man has style or has an appealing body. My brain "lights up" when I see women and their genitalia, or those feminine males who can convincingly embody those traits. That does not happen when I look at men, thus my orientation is heterosexual. There are three aspects to sexuality:
- Sexual identity - who you perceive yourself to be, who you perceive others to be.
- Sexual orientation - to whom you are attracted, in terms of identity as well as a slew of other traits.
- Sexual behavior - the sexual activities that you engage in.
The short of it is that even though I'm more or less a heterosexual male, I engage in what some would consider to be homosexual-coded behaviors, like anal play as a recipient and nipple stimulation. With anal-play, it only makes sense that one would seek out a sexual partner whose sexual physiology is capable of delivering unto you the sexual advancement you'd wish to receive, so being "gay" in this regard is a rather practical thing to do. sure, you can get pegged by women if you are so inclined, but that is an artificial solution that isn't part of the natural order of nature, or in other words, if we lived in more primitive and pre-industrial times, in which the access to certain sexual implements was scarce or non-existent, then one's only recourse for naturally sating this particular sexual behavior would be to be "gay".
Therefore, I may engage in homosexual behaviors, but for my own practical benefit, and given the chance, I would much rather be romantically and sexually involved with a woman.
