I'll admit I made the same mistake and thus not innocent from it. But he is right in pointing out that the root issue in occupied Palestine isn't one of civil rights, as that's downstream from the main problem of land dispossession and control by Jewish settlers.

Doing away with apartheid wouldn't solve that issue as shown in 🇿🇦 where, despite the black majority having civil rights, most of the land and wealth is still at the hands of the apartheid-era white minority, with little to no prospect for the redistribution of land and economic assets.

For those of us who care about Palestinians, we shouldn't focus on civil rights as the apartheid framework implies, but rather on Palestinians having the right to get their land back, even if it means angering liberal zionists who want to distract you from the issue of genocide and dispossession.

It will likely be given back but through material conditions such as the US/Europe cutting off support due to worsening economic downturns. Oct 7th was a blessing in disguise for them since they were on the verge of civil conflict and it rallied Israelis together into continuing expansion and genocide under the guide of self defense. But I don't see them coming out of the current Iran war so easy, especially where you can see that the wealthy Israelis have already fled and set up enclaves around world(except for already existing ones). Which means expect them to be more annoying on a massive scale adjacent to rhodies/afikaners as Israel is slowly balkanized or annexed.

Well.. I think this is the wrong way to look at it. You should only care about Israel if you're an American, in my opinion, since as a taxpayer you give so much to it to conduct its dubious operations. You are erstwhile affected by all of this. This being said, no American should care about Israel or the Near East and should completely withdraw our resources and manpower from the region as it serves no good purpose for the American people.
