analog horror has gotten pretty old over the last years, it feels lile most of them are just the same three tropes over and over again, whats your fav analog horror? and what do you like most about it? me personally id have to go with the greylock tapes
I hate the ones that go too esoteric and too supernatural and all out overwhelming with insane amounts of schizo and biblical lore to the point of being silly and not immersive at all.
I have yet to see one featuring a non-supernatural material threat that spreads slowly and methodically and follows many people as the threat expands and also follows the state response and slow breakdown in control. Now THATS something id watch the shit out of.
As for the existing ones id go with the oldie but goldie THALASIN. Its short, sweet and creative.
The analog horror genre had so much potential but flopped because it wasnt picked up by actually creative people instead of schizophrenic teenagers and slop creators.
