I mean an entire year in jail is pretty lame, but it’s still based :) I once threw an improvised molotov into a garden that raised a confederate flag. it didn’t burn unfortunately, but they still took it down a couple days later.

Funniest thing, he wasnt even the target, i just blasted myself with drugs to deal with rage relating to some bullshit between me and some friends but it just made the rage 10X worse and i took my anger on the first thing i saw not even knowing who the guy was. Its a miracle i only received some kicks while being arrested and wasnt taken to the station basement to be suffocated with a plqstic bag like cops in my country like doing.

This was in eastern europe and part of the sentence was in jail and part in a forensic psych facility(within the prison). Jail was full of tension and intimidation but i didnt experience any violence and my stuff wasnt getting stolen. I had good cellmates that helped me with tobacco until i could get money for comissary. All of us in the cell received parcels regularly so there was always a bunch of cured meat available so we rarely had to eat prison food. All in all not bad outside of the constant fear that youll look at someone the wrong way and get your shit rocked. The forensic unit was less tense but really unpredictable with a whole lot of crazy shit going on all the time and never getting a moment of peace from annoying people getting in your shit. A lot of theft. Bed bugs and lice all over. Sleeping was miserable and i was close to losing it. 5 of us made what you could call a mutual support group where we shared everything and kept the other lowlifes at bay. All in all not pleasant at all but no reason to kill yourself over it, though there were a lot of people who were taking it way worse than me and being annoying with constant whining.

it's not based if he's some old gumshoe straight shooter johnny on the spot beatcop type grandpa who did 40 years on the force to support his wife and kids, who really felt like he was trying to do the right thing and provide a meaningful service to society, and who never gave in to corruption (but probably looked the other way a lot just so he could keep his position).
