I stumbled upon an official EU research paper which not only namedrops but uses dialectical materialism as it's main methodology to predict future socioeconomic developments
Is it unironically a good take on the concept or nah?

>It's in the images
No, that black and white "thesis v antithesis" example is not diamat just as well as US counterintelligence operations isn't "diamat".
>>812835The paper itself talks about "dialectical waves of change" a concept which comes from another EU paper "Dialectical Waves of Change: Using Dialectics, Emerging Issue Analysis and the Futures Wheel to Develop a Tool for Applied Futures Research" and this one does explicitly talk about dialectical materialism in a marxist sense
>>812839>this one does explicitly talk about dialectical materialism in a marxist senseIt seems to be blatantly missing the key factor of social class.
>The paper itself talks about "dialectical waves of change" a concept which comes from another EU paper "Dialectical Waves of Change: Using Dialectics, Emerging Issue Analysis and the Futures Wheel to Develop a Tool for Applied Futures ResearchOdds are it's Hegelian idealist dialectics.
>>812842>It seems to be blatantly missing the key factor of social class. I mean dialectics is just a type of thinking, it does not have to necessarily only be used for class analysis, no?
>Dialectical analysis examines how change is driven through a dynamic interaction between two
contradicting forces or ideas, in such a way that a third outcome crystalizes and becomes the new
prevalent idea or state (Dolan, 2018; Dujardin, 2021). The dialectical process can be understood as
a cyclic process in which ‘the output of every stage serves as the starting point of a new cycle”
(Rescher, 2007).
>Such processes consist of three states most well-known as: thesis, antithesis, synthesis. The
underlying principle is that a current state of something (thesis) is confronted with or gets negated
by a contraposition (antithesis), leading to an interaction that causes the establishment of a new
state (synthesis), that is neither fully the thesis or antithesis (Dujardin, 2021). The synthesis
becomes the new prevalent state – thus the new thesis – that is over time confronted with a new
contraposition, starting the cycle anew (Dolan, 2018; Rescher, 2007).
