How did thirdies construct this idea of them being rich before colonization?
When 99% of thirdies lived in near total destitution with absolutely no wealth slaving away their short lives for the nobility and upper classes.

Their national bourgeoisie beneftis from them having those ideas.

>>813688
Wow look at all that money concentrated in the hands of the 0,01% lmao

>>813688
Absolute bullshit graph, like how the fuck does they calculate the GDP of anything in the year 1 AD???

>>813659
>How did thirdies construct this idea of them being rich before colonization?
you're confusing "rich" with "developed"

these countries had underdeveloped pre-capitalist economic conditions before colonization, but "they" (as in the rulers) also had sovereignty over resources, currency, etc. colonization removed sovereignty but rapidly developed them into modern conditions. This rapid development also killed a lot of people and lowered their quality life. However the subsequent generations got to reap the benefits of modern medicine, modern economic conditions, etc.

yeah economic data before 1900 is unreliable, before 1800 is abysmal, and before 1500 is vibes outside of maybe the domesday book from england, and before 1000 is basically useless. ironically bronze age temple economies kept better economic records than anyone between the iron age and medieval europe. this is because they had centralized credit economies, no coinage, and just counted the commodities produced directly on cuneiform tablets that lasted a long time because they were not paper.

99% of chinese and indians lived in near total destitution slaving away their short miserable lives for the nobility.

>>813688
>%
Meaningless. Britain is richer today than at the height of her empire in real terms, even if she's poorer relative to everyone else.
(Britain is also a cautionary tale for what happens if you think you're "declining" just because everyone else is catching up. You go completely insane and, ironically, slow yourself down even more.)

>>813705
india's share of global industrial output declining from 25% in 1750 to 2% in 1900 surely had no impact on living standards at all
i guess if you ignore the clear process of state enforced deindustrialisation that turned india from an urbanised economy to a rural extractivist one you can say that nothing changed at all in india under british rule

>>813706
youre literally british of course you deny imperialism

>>813718
>india's share of global industrial output declining from 25% in 1750 to 2% in 1900 surely had no impact on living standards at all
Well it literally didnt and you can't prove otherwise.
>turned india from an urbanised economy to a rural extractivist one you can say that nothing changed at all in india under british rule
india was never a urban economy 90% of the population lived miserable lives as peasants slaving away for the nobility before british rule.

>>813705
You are absolutely retarded if you believe this cartoonish view of the past. It is actually impossible for a society to continue existing in conditions like the one you're describing. Comparable to lib ideologues saying Stalin killed three hundred million people and no one in the Soviet Union ever smiled.

Modern Western morality is so founded on the concept of treats that they unironically think killing millions in man-made famines is compensated by the fact that the descendants of those millions have iPhones now, at the same time that they call for genocidal wars if the price of gas rises by five cents.

>>813727
>You are absolutely retarded if you believe this cartoonish view of the past.
Sorry its true your trad chud paradise of the past didnt exist.

>>813728
>they unironically think killing millions in man-made famines is compensated by the fact that the descendants of those millions have iPhones now
But no one did this

>>813725
>99% of thirdies lived in near total destitution with absolutely no wealth slaving away their short lives for the nobility and upper classes.
<90% of the population lived miserable lives as peasants slaving away for the nobility before british rule.
>99% of chinese and indians lived in near total destitution slaving away their short miserable lives for the nobility
this uygha just repeats himself over and over hoping that it will make data and statistics go away

I just want to shout out beautiful South Asian women. If I'm being honest, a lot of y'all are chopped. But there's a 10% that are stunning. They probably got all of the good genes.

>>813700
I personally testified (I'm an intergalactic being with a lifespan immeasurable in human terms)

>>813765
But you havent even managed to provide a single piece of data or statistics to prove me wrong?

lack of actual education or just delusion

>>813659
I dunno much about Indian history but didn't they have one of the most productive textile industries before the British came in and wrecked it all so they could be on top.

>>813718
It's not denying imperialism to tell you that this isn't a measure of imperialism. Did China engage in imperialism against Britain to overtake her so thoroughly, or did Britain's relative position merely fall back even as her absolute position held steady?

>>813802
this is the clearest and most obvious example of imperialism anyone can think of

>construct this idea of being rich before colonization
It's either historical revisionism or you've never heard of Mansa Musa

>>813816
>the one place with one of the biggest gold mine in history is representative of the "third world" in it's entirety.
It's the exception that proves the rule
Mali got bodied by the Songhcucks unfortunately, who got bullied by the morrocan dynasties before the French even came (tho I will admit north Africa was also pretty rich for a large period of the middle ages), they were a random ass kingdom who didn't control their own trade routes at the end and nowadays the sahara is still contested so nothing is done there, very sad.

India, China and to a lesser extent the Muslim world were wealthier and more advanced than Europe until the industrial revolution kicked in where they used this advantage and made everyone submit, not only asking them tribute but making them adop a mode of production where they would be subservient. They did this through subterfuge, and in the end at gun point.

It leads to the unequal developped world of today where this system needs under developped geographical areas for cheap labor and the ruling class makes them believe they are a thousand nations at war even though they serve minerals to asia so the west can consume

>>813889
>India, China and to a lesser extent the Muslim world
But they were utter shitholes where 99% of the populace lived in poverty and misery.

>>813942
me when my entire political beliefs are based on snappy tweets and leftoid tiktok edits

>>813950
Sorry but your trad based chud paradise of the past never existed.

>>813700
I remember reading that for China he literly made it up and set for GDP of one thousand years based in one factor

>>813951
another snappy tweet response

>>813965
Its not like you cna prove me wrong

>>813968
theres nothing to be proven wrong, you havent made any statement. i can say people in finland speak mandarin and thats equally as valid of a claim as anything youve said here

>>813659
>When 99% of thirdies lived in near total destitution with absolutely no wealth slaving away their short lives for the nobility and upper classes
did europoorean colonization change that?

>>813989
Not the point of the statement

>>813984
I accept your concession then.

Oh you're back thought you didnt have the courage to reply to me or admit you're wrong.

>>814079
post 1 singular piece of evidence for your claim

>>814091
this doesnt prove anything you have said

>>813688
