Apex of humanity in terms of physical prowess. These fuckers were giants. Imagine the beastly levels of testosterone flowing through their veins, making them highly arousable rape-demons. The mere sight of a gracile, highly neotenous sapiens women would give them a rush of uncontrollable horniness, and there is no fighting them off, not with spears and stones.
It's a clear picture. Evidence proves that the admixture we carry from neanderthals comes strictly from pairings between neanderthal men and sapiens women. Neanderthals were much stronger than us, and due to elevated test levels, much more sexually demanding and rape-driven. When sapiens women arrived in Europe, sapiens men could not stave off Neanderthal monsters and so rape-slaves were taken and bred.
Now, introduce the giant denisovan. Nearly a foot taller than the average neanderthal/sapiens, and much more strongly built. The neanderthal was the monster, until they travelled east and much more dangerous monster waited in the cold caves beyond the mountains.
Now, consider denisova cave and the hybrid child who was found there - Denisovan father and neanderthal father. If we were dogs and neanderthals were like wolves to us, the Denisovan was the Dire wolf. The neanderthal ogre raped the sapien, the Denisovan giant raped both.
Sapiens men were small, fragile, weak and helpless to battle these monsters. They raped and slaughtered and preyed on us. Makes you wonder how we managed to survive such horrible beasts. Even if we did manage to get the jump on a small party of these giants, a single female could probably rip your arms off before 3 of you could hold her down.

Homo sapiens hunted and killed neanderthals while occupying caves that were previously used by neanderthals for them to never show up again in fossil record.
