Really bad. Ended up in mental institution for couple of weeks due to bad trip.

>what's been your experience with them?
Really good, mescaline is the most mellow and beautiful drug i've ever taken. Unfortunately my family is a bunch of stuck-up prudes about psychs

Elaborate

should have taken a less heroic dose, gotten trip sitters, and learned not to freak out on drugs and trigger society's anti-psychonaut wardens

psilocybin mushrooms: the world started melting and I panicked, drank a bunch of milk because I was told that there's something in milk that counteracts the psilocybin, and once that anxiety relinquished, I had a mild and enjoyable high that left me sort of "comfortably numb"
salvia divinorum: I saw a shiva/ganesha, blue skinned multi armed buddhist god with an elephant head, and it reached out to high five me from far away

other than that, nothin'

I did Iboga in Mexico. I paid like 8k for a boutique resort-type deal with proper medical staff. It was pretty good but not really exciting or noteworthy. I think it helped a lot mentally but it’s not a fun drug. It’s like the Tylenol of psychedelics. Although I think the effects vary a lot by person.

just smoke weed and meditate, most people are not ready for other shit, I took lsd like 5 times a few years ago and called it a day, I'm still processing it

Weed makes me freak, it's always this very negative, hellish experience (although it wasn't like that at first)

psilo mushrooms are literally legal where I live, but the sleeping med I take (quetiapin) is a trip killer, so I guess I'll never know how mushrooms or LSD feels like unless I stop taking my sleeping pills and ruin my life due to not being able to sleep. I feel some crazy stuff with weed, and I like wild rides, so I bet I'd love psilocybin :C

maybe they wanted more than a high five

he prolly wanted to jerk me off and well I'd be kinda scared ngl.

Take a heroic dose of DMT and come talk with the machine elves with me.

I viewed it as a once in a lifetime medical treatment, so I didn’t mind blowing that much on it. You can find retreats in Europe or Thailand that are like 2k, but they don’t have the same medical capabilities. Tbh, you probably don’t need them anyway if you’re young and healthy, but I’m risk averse and didn’t want to end up the subject of a tabloid article describing how some high tourist jumped into traffic or ODed in their hotel room.

Also now that I think back, I had a few proper hallucinations while on it. I imagined one where a medical staff member brought me food. That was the most impactful because it was my first ever and I didn’t expect it. I’d never done any drugs prior. I also had a flashback to myself in high school being socially anxious (which is what brought me to get treatment), and a flashback to my childhood. The rest of my time high was just distorted hearing and waves in my vision. Nothing the hallucinations revealed to me was all that surprising, but in context it felt super impactful and brought into perspective how meaningful my life is to me. I really think psychedelics is the future mental health treatment. It felt like I got nearly a decade of therapy over the span of those few days.
