gaymurgayt was basically:
  1. this game journo girl was sleeping around with other dudes in the scene, and her boyfriend wrote a frustrated blogpost about it
  2. some fags on 4chan found out about it, and decided to have an uproar about it, because muh ethics in gayms journalism (because game journalism was historically so ethical, and not sensationalist at all amirite)
  3. that greedy feminist loser anita found out about it while she was trying to grift people out of money on the basis that video games are sexist, and she and the game journo girl became friends, after which they formed "anita and the pussycats" which was an anti-gamer alliance comprised of themselves and a few other key players who don't bear mentioning because they're not important
  4. the gamers took it upon themselves to fight back and the ensuing kerfuffle was how the 2016 meme wars began in earnest
