They aren't communist, but ants, bees and termites are the only animals other than humans which do labour. Ants have it the best out of any insect tbh, they live for a long time, always have food, and have loads of friends to have fun with. There will be ant communism when they are uplifted.
>>818287Not really, it's not like they all share the same thoughts. There are often splits in hives.
>>818452It's the normal ants who have most of the real power, if they don't like a queen they will just kill her. Not saying the queen also doesn't have a lot of power (she can dictate how the colony is made up based on assigning different purposes to different younglings).
>>818290That isn't a male ant tho, and neither is it auygh-laying queen. That is probably a worker using her stinger.
>>818452Termites aren't really distant cousins. Termites are related to cockroaches, not to ants. Ants and bees are just wasps really.
>>818623There are actually a lot of examples of ants working with others outside of their immediate family, or even across species (though only through 'slavery'). Out of any animal other than human I think ants would have the easiest time understanding "universal rights". Remember humans didn't have human rights until recently, before then we had citizenship only for the people in one country.
