unfortunately many people are reformist and they want to enter these imperialist institutions because they think they can change the institution from the inside without being digested and shat out in a new monstrous form. Also there are many people who have lib brain and internalize the world in terms of "rights" so the "right" of an LGBTQIA+ person to take part in imperialism is seen by them as an improvement in the status of LGBTQIA+ people rather than being used as cannon fodder for the ruling class.

There are consequences to a group being barred from things everyone else is allowed to do even if nobody in that group actually wants to do it. The number of trans women who want to play sports is basically non-existent, but bans create a precident of acceptable oppression.
