In a youtube comment section, I argued that homophobia is more genetic than homosexuality, or basically that the dna of a person predicts homophobia more than sexual orientation. It took days but I actually won and the other guy apologized

My most recent argument was about a post of a woman on tiktok saying she goons a lot and a commenter replying “wait girls goon?” to which a woman replied “men are so obsessed with sex until it comes to actually educating themselves on sex” to which I replied “he’s likely a boy not a man” (since we are on tiktok and he didn’t know something as basic) thereby excusing his ignorance, to which her and a few of other girls/women replied “she wasn’t talking about boys she was talking about men!” when her reply was clearly referencing the guy confused about girls masturbating, thereby implying that he is a grown man ignorant of the fact that women masturbate (which is supposed to be the “urgh, stupid men!!!” dunk they all upvoted).

They are clearly being obtuse and backpedaling here. Her point was that THIS is an instance and proof of how ignorant MEN are on women’s sexuality, but he was in all likelihood a minor, thereby excusing his ignorance just like a girl wouldn’t know certain things about guys.

This argument is kinda a cringe argument. “He’s a boy not a man” is just another ignorant assumption. Boys aren’t all ignoramuses about female masturbation.

Youth doesn’t mean automatic ignorance in everything.
Also I think the female argumentative in question understood what you were saying but was using that incident to generalize her assumed impression of male ignorance about female sexuality

Also forgot to mention, “gooning” is often framed as a male vice.
And gooning is often confused with generic masturbation in general so the commentator asking “do girls goon”? isn’t some boy who doesn’t know about female masturbation.

It’s more that they’re surprised that girls can proudly proclaim themselves as chronic pathological masturbators.

The most common argument Onhabe online is people confusing feminism for chivalry.

I remember on one YouTube comment section it was a Surreal Entertainment video satirizing Ben Shapiro.
And of course the comment section has to go into political discussions about “muh SJWs” and “muh conservatives” and one of the conversation threads was about feminism.

And I said “feminism isn’t the problem, chivalry is”
And people went rampant.

People thought I was promoting disrespecting women.

I simply said chivalry was just men wanting to show off life jackasses and women wanting to be ogled at.
