I Think what makes a person a radlib is:

>Voting

>Engaging in woke idpol (poc/lgbtq identity before class)
>Class Collaboration
>Lifestylism and ethical consumption
>Illegalism

skateboarding liberals

Taking, or giving, BBC (all cocks are equal under communism)

A radlib is somebody who claims to be a radical but is actually a moderate.

Being a radlib is mostly a frame of mind, and all the actions you listed are a symptom of that frame of mind, not the cause.

The best examples of radlibs would be rich socdem american college kids or victorian-era utopian socialists.

Your list is good, but I would add:
>consuming woke art or media
>making woke art or media
>pointless performative spectacles (like when AOC wore that 'tax the rich' dress to the Met Gala 🙄🙄🙄)
>Avoiding using the word bourgeoisie (the rich, the elites, etc…)
>larping online

>larping online
But this is actually the only form of effective online praxis

Disagreeing with me.

Is this some purity spiraling?

Do you mean what actions define them as a radlib, or what about them draws them to radlibbery?

In the latter case: it is a matter of disposition, and fundamentally they share the same disposition as communists, at least directionally. That is: high openness, high agreeableness. You can see this empirically in the drift of most "woke idpol" types into at least claiming to be communists.

The details are, basically, just a function of how that disposition interacts with a given community. This is why generally speaking you'd do better to have put your money on SJWs in 2015 than on 4channers, even nominally leftish ones. Their underlying disposition all but guarantees they're pulled left, while the underlying disposition of 4channers is inclined to antisocial behaviour, and the right are the biggest purveyors of that around.

LARPing online is a human universal nowadays, you may as well define a radlib as a featherless biped.

In a sense it's the opposite. There's a tension in /leftypol/ between a neurotic, anti-social element to the userbase, and the inherently pro-social instincts of leftists and liberals. The result is trying to find some kind of golden mean where we're better than those radlibs (who do performative lifestyle acts like voting or reading woke webcomics) because we do performative lifestyle inactions like not voting, or not reading woke media, or being clever theory knowers who know that the only ethical thing to do is sit around masturbating until the vanguard cums.

The way I see it, maybe there heart is kind of in the right place, just like true Christians are. Rooting for underdog vs the powers that use and abuse them, but just as with Christians they aren't able to take that and form a coherent explanation of why things are that way or how we can change them. Also like Christians they tend to think of everything in terms of good and evil and sinners and so they end up mostly exist as being in opposition to the evil and sinners but with no vision of their own of how to make a world without sin.
