>average liberal redditor
An overdose of stereotypes and contradictions
More like average left-wing activist in the West
>>823581>stereotypesthe comedian was SHOCKED that this could possibly happen but leftypol seems to have been ahead of the curve in understanding this was a thing
>>823583>More like average left-wing activistlol
I work as a software engineer developing proprietary software (a webshop), so I understand her situation.
>>823567This was actually funny as shit lmfao
I've been in the exact same situation. I was working as a volunteer intern at this rich engineer's office, doing quant finance shit, until he did a 180 and wanted me to work in computer vision for military drones that could detect buildings and humans. He jokingly said it was to "deliver Amazon gifts from up high". I made up some bullshit excuse to quit that same month
>>823604you understand actively getting a job in the bombing brown children department? how is that a "situation?" just get a job where you don't have to do that. this isn't even a situation of desperate poverty. a mcdonalds worker takes mcdonalds because that's what they can get. a software dev though? they have a lot more choices than just the MIC.
uhm, but if I am not the one creating the bombs, a trump voter would be doing it instead! he'd be getting that salary!!!
>>823604Not even slightly equivalent depending on what it is
Even open source projects are used for the military industrial complex
Basically all the Nix jobs are just military contractors
Even if the foundation tries and has distanced from those all the development and infrastructure goes to them.
>>823567bad empanada was ahead of the curve
>transgenders have to die broke and homeless or work for Buchenvald's death star else no one not even their fellow leftist in HR will hire them
Weyland-Yutani corpos and tech are the last bastillon of social inclusion and meritocracy.
>>824533i have had trans coworkers at regular jobs, what are you on about. i understand trans people face severe hiring discrimination but the idea that only defense contractors will hire them is certifiably bonkers.
>>823567average WTYP listener.
average Hexbear poster.
>>824711i should have known from the pasty british muslim convert that it was an idealist as hell podcast
I don’t see how individual defense contractors are realistically anymore complicit than the average tax payer.
>>824716Tsarnuke of truth
>>824716Well they're not just complicit, they're actively involved lol
>>824716probably because you're stupid
