theres this thing i do and i need to know if its normal and anyone else does this?
i like to count the strokes in characters, like if you were to write that character how many strokes it would take, or how many 'lines' it has. capital or lowercase matters. font usage matters. a is NOT A. b is different from B

its not counting letters its the strokes
but also its not just the strokes because i always count them in pairs of 2, so positioning matters.
these pairs contain 2 strokes and they never stop, they keep going through the entire text, even through words. if a pair contains an entire even character (like e) or if it contains 2 odd characters (like oo) then it feels incredibly satisfying and it is a harmonious pair. but if it cuts a character then it feels wrong and unharmonious
for example, the word cool is unbelievably harmonious, because all of its characters contain 1 stroke only, this means it has a small amount of pairs (2) and these pairs are very harmonious, then the word ends harmoniously because it has no leftover character

odd letters can be bad because they shift the pair alignment, then everything after them is unharmonious until another odd fixes it. but theyre not all bad, sometimes two odd letters touching each other can be great because they cancel each other out immediately, and sometimes a word can both start and end with an odd letter and that can also be great depending on how many pairs it took to resolve itself
i sometimes rewrite emails because one synonym has better stroke harmony than another. or im trying to get as many harmony points as possible and one sentence wasnt as optimized. if it ends odd i have to add a period or change word or capitalize something
at this point i can just recognize words that are harmonious or unharmonious and the best possible combination for them, i dont need to consciously count it anymore.
i had to come up with a scoring system based on how satisfying these combinations feel
+1 for perfect even pair
+3 for two odds resolving together in the same pair
+5 if a word ends in a 1-stroke odd which connects with the 1-stroke odd at the beginning of the next word (word link)

flushes give a bonus of n-1 for each perfect pair where n is the number of pairs (but they end after each word.).
words that end harmoniously get +2.
sentences that end harmoniously get +5
odd resolution bonus based on how many pairs it takes to fix the lack of harmony.
yes it takes punctuation into consideration which means commas have strategy and capitalizarion is a resource
does anyone else do this.
