if you are genuinely autistic and you're not just exaggerating or on some self-diagnosis bullshit like a lot of people seem to be doing nowadays, "touching grass" won't help because even if you go outside into the world you're still inside your own world because your autism makes most people foreign to you and there's nothing you can do about that. you're basically like an immigrant who speaks a different language, so do what the immigrants do - find other immigrants. you have to find other autistic people, that's how autists make friends and form relationships is by finding other autists. in order to do that, you have to write off all your sunk costs in conforming to neurotypical society, i.e. you have to abandon all your indoctrinated conventional superficial attitudes about what kinds of people are winners or losers, are normal or cringe, are attractive or ugly, etc. and give up on your own delusions about ever being able to fit into that world, because let's face it - it's never going to happen. go talk to the shy nerdy weird fat girls with green mohawks and shit whom you have been ignoring or mocking your entire life in your desperate attempts to fit in and be like everyone else, put your ego and your prejudices and your preconceived notions aside for a moment and just allow yourself to connect with people whom you can actually communicate with and form mutual two-way understanding with, embrace the cringe and expand your tiny autist world by building bridges to other autist worlds and forming your own autistic family and community, then you won't be an immigrant anymore, you'll be a native in your own homeland.
