I'm constantly telling myself that I suck and I'm not enough but at the same time I believe to be better than almost everyone else around me. How is this mental illness called? What should I do?

It's how I feel much of the time. I just try staying away from people irl.

Bipolar disorder.

Now give me $300 dollars.

To be very technical with you with the American DSM, but you would have to have a manic episode lasting multiple days to be technically bipolar. I don't know what they count low grade kinda bipolar, but it has to be the same in principle right?

I guess we got our answer.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclothymia
Bipolar III
>Cyclothymia (/ˌsaɪkləˈθaɪmiə/, siy-kluh-THIY-mee-uh), also known as cyclothymic disorder, psychothemia / psychothymia,[5] bipolar III,[6] affective personality disorder[7] and cyclothymic personality disorder,[8] is a mental and behavioural disorder[9] that involves numerous periods of symptoms of depression and periods of symptoms of elevated mood.[3] These symptoms, however, are not sufficient to indicate a major depressive episode or a manic episode.[3] Symptoms must last for more than one year in children and two years in adults.

>I believe to be better than almost everyone else around me

you really do suck, after all. Literally no one who believes this doesn't suck

both those things are basically true though. even the strongest, fastest, sexiest, smartest, healthiest human is basically an inconsequential monkey that lives on average 80 years and spends the first 10 and last 10 usually being a burden, while spending the middle 60 being a slave to school/work/family.

>I'm constantly telling myself that I suck and I'm not enough but at the same time I believe to be better than almost everyone else around me.
I used to feel the same way in my 20s. In my 30s I'm more comfortable with the fact that I'm not terribly special, just perhaps a bit unique and have done some funny stuff not everyone else did, but I didn't realize the "genius potential" I thought I had when I was younger, it was only a delusion of grandeur.

>How is this mental illness called?

I think it's maladaptive perfectionism perhaps. Feeling like you have potential, but not actually starting things because of a fear of failure. That might be why you feel like you are "not enough", but you are already enough, you are already yourself right now, living and breathing.

>What should I do?

Learn to forgive yourself for not being an Einstein or Mozart tier genius, and also because sometimes you are fucking retard like the rest of humanity, it's okay.
Start doing stuff, even if you suck at first, or the results aren't as great as you would wish for, if you are into an creative activity like art, drawing, music, or programming, building stuff with wood, etc.
Keep living, that's the most important.
