Picrel might legitimaly be the best movie poster ever. It is the perfect art for the movie.
Also the only movie I ever bought physical copy of. Saw it cheap in a bin at a supermarket. God its so good.

Its a masterpiece, I think between the completely unique setting for a horror film (Arctic research station) the dark analog synths and Kurt Russel at his peak + absolutely insane monster design and the pace of the film all works together to make a cohesive masterpiece.

Its up there with the OG chainsaw massacre.

The simplicity of it, lack of concrete background, how snow at the bottom gives into into this weird fractal pattern as if reality is breaking apart, the slightly off way the person stands, the intense icy shine obscuring the face while drawing your gaze to it, combined with clothing preventing you from seeing any skin, only the shape of the person, how it is angled as if it is staring down at you. Its the way it visually communicates paranoia and isolation and alienness.

I could've sworn on my life that the thing had a remarke around 2017 with poster in nod to the OG and my family went to the cinema and saw it but I looked it up recently and no such remake exists
