it's fascinating to me how guys like gaddafi genuinely see themselves as very orthodox and devout religious leaders who are all about traditional values and living a humble life of great discipline and restraint and following god's law to the letter, but meanwhile the way they actually live their lives is like bronze age pagan empire tier decadence and depravity where they are living in a gigantic ornate palace with solid gold furniture and a swimming pool in the living room and a vast stockpile of cocaine and viagra and a harem of captive teenage girls whom they perform outrageous brutal sexual acts on and then feed them to their pet tigers when they aren't pretty anymore, and it's just a nonstop orgy of sex and violence and excess with loud music and gunfire and womens' screams emanating from the house 24 hours a day, their life is basically the movie caligula but even worse, and they are so delusional that they think their god will just overlook all of this because they wore a hat and recited some words a few times a day.
