Does anyone have any hope that the game would be good? The same people who made Starfield are making this. Simply having the IP isn't enough, you need talented people who can actually use that IP.

Desert climates may be caused by anything from coastal winds and mountain ranges to atmospheric circulation. The one in Elsweyr would probably be classified as hot and the one in Hammerfell as temperate.

Though i am looking forward to learn about events post-skyrim, and see the thalmor occupation of hammerfell, but in terms of being elder-scrolls it'll probably just retcon and ignore loads of pre-established shit like in skyrim

After more than a decade of disappointment and realizing after recent playthroughs that the only games I legitimately like are Morrowind and Daggerfall (and the non-Bethesda Fallouts) I've given up any hopes for this series being a mature CRPG, it will be a beautiful looking lame-ass POV hack n slash/choose-your-own-adventure. I will be ignoring the main quest and try to enjoy my time, hopefully they bring back good magic, character limitations, factions that actually interact with and hate each other etc etc (like Daggerfall) but I digress, all the series really needs is a good writer but we'll never get that again
