>>837207the only thing that hurts capitalism is the loss of capital. trump knows that, his billionaire friends know that, and that's why they do what they do; to take wealth away from americans and put it into their own pockets. only, that has a price, which is to say that it destroys the country in the process, the pilfering and pillaging of wealth will leave nothing but rubble in its wake.
my point is that unless your grassroot leethaxor cyber activism schenanigans does something substantial enough to truly hurt the pocketbooks of your political adversaries, then you're wasting time and effort that could be better spent elsewhere. but would it be more efficacious than a random shooting or assassination attempt? perhaps, but again, it depends on the targets and what happens in the wake of that. to go back to luigi, his killing was successful but ultimately fruitless, outside of galvanizing a base around the specific issue of healthcare reform. that's something, but not nearly enough. if some crazy bastard killed the president, that'd be much more impactful, but even the president can be replaced, right? there are built-in contingencies for that very reason.
if someone managed to kill a number of people who are instrumental to the smooth operation of a given organization, then you'd be getting somewhere, but that takes a lot of… something. preparation, effort, intelligence, experience, etc. theoretically, a hacking group could probably do more to destabilize any given institution more through their tomfoolery than an assassination would, but I don't know the technicalities of that. that too would equally require preparation, effort, intelligence, experience, etc.
fuck I don't know, man.
