gta online has been basically roblox and/or second life for a while now, genuinely i'm even surprised the ads have been focusing on the main story so much, when it's kinda obvious it's secondary on rockstar's financial plans and the main course is the map itself which is mostly going to be a lobby for roleplayers
The thing I noticed about marketing is how much more Jason is pushed to the forward compared to Lucia. Like the fantasy they are trying to sell is being Jason for male customers and being with Jason for female ones.

FF7 ruined the industry.Rockstar games have a lot of in-gameplay story moments though, namely like conversations while driving, during missions and stuff, and some random context-sensitive stuff, so you might actually miss some stuff if you're only watching cutscenes instead of watching a full playthrough
