We got MRAPs on American streets and they don't tell you this, but the MRAP is effectively fucking useless at actually stopping an IED. It is 100% a boondoggle. No, really no better than the Humvee at reducing casualties from the IED. It turns out you just, there's no real amount of armor you could put on these vehicles to stop an IED from killing the people inside.
