obviously these protests are designed to be propaganda in their own right, showcase the cruelity of the US regime in comparison to the peace of those who oppose it
they are supposed to be radicalizing the observer against the state, not an attempt to appeal to the morality of the state

i don't think we are at the point where the average person would be in support of legitimate armed struggle against the state, nor are we (we being any organization on the left) in a position to engage in that struggle, and furthermore, no organization would, even if that struggle began, engage in material or propaganda support for that struggle, which would make engaging in that struggle essentially much harder.
