Denied by Moscow, btw

I've been busy between working, on the Iranian thread, and playing Stellar Blade.

Unsurprising. On the one hand Banderites take pride in the supposed stalemate as proof that they’ve already defeated Russia, but on the other hand they have to deny there is a stalemate with these dumb performances where they cry betrayal from backers who want Ukraine to give up, but then claim victory over them by reasserting their commitment to bussing people to the front against their will indefinitely.

But it seems no one who is pro-Ukrainian notices the self-contradictions, they just intuitively understand that stalemate means Russia is on the ropes and soon to collapse, but also that it’s extremely important that Ukraine breaks the stalemate that was probably the US’s doing to support Russia.

the country with the largest number of Russians living rent-free sounds a bit desperate.

>B-but Putin!?
Bad pitch considering Trump is currently throwing a hissy fit about Europe not participating (enough) in Iran.

>>2764430
When the Epstein files were released Poland accused the FBI of concealing information and ordered an independent investigation into them…because they thought it didn't implicate Russia enough. Putin is God to butthurt beltoids.

Philosophical question: Does ANY government of the country have the right to expend it's own unwilling population in name of the government's survival? Let's not assume we are talking of the shithole Ukraine here, for most here don't even see a reason to exist, but some ideal based country.

>>2765617
What kind of threat, and how "by, from, and for the people" is the government?

>>2763841
>You guys have become awkwardly silent lately. What gives?
People are kind of checked out. There's a track made by A.I. that has been taking off among looksmaxxing Russian zoomers called "Yanis Varoufakis," but most of them don't even know who he is, they just like the sound of the name.

>>2765617
As long as all the politician that want it's survival are first in the frontline, I'm perfectly fine with it

>>2765624
>>2763841
Not checked out, there’s just little to discuss since the conflict is largely unchanging and whatever does change quickly becomes the norm anyway. Such is the attritional war. There’s no need (at least for the anti-NATO side) to force news and updates when there aren’t any. Most interaction in this thread is a couple of tryhards trying to make /ukr/ the anticampist general that died years ago.

>>2765620
An external threat to the existence of the government.

Let's also say that the reason for war is more of conquest and not an war of extermination.

>>2765629
Conquest? How old school.

>>2765629
There’s few nations that would distinguish between conquest and extermination. Keeping the people alive but exhausting their land, developments (I.e homes and infrastructure) and resources is not extermination, but only by technicality.

To bring Ukraine back into this, if they’d succeeded with their 48-hour anti-terrorist operation in Eastern Ukraine, then any resources and MoP in that territory would be owned by the conquerors, they wished to erase any identity in Eastern Ukraine that isn’t that of Western Ukraine, for all intents and purposes Donestk would simply be another Lvov.

Even if there isn’t a massive landfill full of dead undesirables, you’d still come to notice that everyone who was there previously no longer seem to be.

Actually I suppose a better example is East Germany. It was alright for states like Poland, for whom their nationality was never under threat from the end of communism, whatever people liked or enjoyed about Poland during communist times simply becomes part of the Polish tradition. Not so for the DDR, Ostalgie stands as an aberration within modern German traditions. Its a part of German history that never existed as far as the modern German state and leadership are concerned. Modern Eastern Germans have to consciously and with effort recall that their former nationality even existed as it gets plastered over with “real” German nationalism.

>>2765635
When it comes to conquests for most of history what it meant for average people after the initial bloodshed, was that there would be a new garrison in town and the people would be paying taxes to somebody else from now on. Most empires were this way.

This conquest v extermination, really boils down to if you agree that a nation needs a state of it's own to really be a nation. Like for some Ukies death of current state means the death of banderism and the death of the real Ukrainian nation. Without Ukrainian state and banderism they see that they are or end up just a bunch of Russians who speak russian kinda funny.

>>2765641
There’s definitely a reason why people weren’t so dispassionate about colonialism/imperialism as just simply paying taxes to some other uncaring entity, from paying aristos to paying imperialists. I think a big part of why for so many places in the globe during the 20th century that Communism and Nationalism went hand-in-hand is because of the need to rediscover and redefine what being, say, Vietnamese is after so much time that was being overridden by just being part of the French empire.

People wanted both economic independence from their former or future conquerors (which communism covers) and to rid themselves of an identity imposed by external forces (which nationalism covers). The Ukrainians aren’t doing that, they feel entitled to economic dependency on both the EU and Russia and a minority group has inherited much larger borders than they ever had in modernity from a society they don’t recognise the authority of, thus the only chance to hold on to those gainz is to terraform everything within their recognised borders drawn by unrecognised authority into being “Ukrainian” and therefore, hopefully, squashing any other nationality that may seek independence or reintegration with their historical nations (not just Russia btw)

An american merc from the ukrainian foreign legion with a tattoo of a russian eagle on his leg had too much fent and sat naked outside a window in Lvov before he was apprehended by police

Guy has clearly had some twists and turns in his story lmao, or perhaps that’s just one night on fentanyl. You wake up the next day in custody in Ukraine with a Russian eagle tattoo but signed up as a Merc in the Banderite military.

Natoids have been conditioned to think that a war past two weeks is a long war and therefore a failure. To them winners only fight short wars with blitzkrieg bombing campaigns, decapitation strikes of leadership and big arrow maneuvers. Just because US has had all the freedom to pick it's wars since forever, and nato doctrine and for profit military industrial base doesn't allow any longer wars, before they need a breather or a shift toward lower intensity warfare.

4,400 more days.

>>2765617
>some ideal based country
yeah of course

The term "Menschenfänger" (translated from German as "man—catcher") is not an official name, but a contemptuous nickname that was popularly given to soldiers and policemen of Nazi Germany who were engaged in hunting people.
Transport.
Basic principle: The practice of disguise was widely used. Civilian vehicles and unmarked vehicles were often used to suddenly block the streets.
Composition: There were both standard passenger cars (including personal ones), trucks for transporting detainees, as well as specialized police vehicles.
Maneuverable passenger cars were used for fast raids, and trucks and buses were used for mass raids. Captured equipment (Beutefahrzeug) was also actively used, including French and Dutch cars and trucks.

Russia is stupid, unlike China. Whereas China is abolishing rural schools and forcing kids to live in cities, with ample supply of teachers and higher quality of education, Russia is still clinging to rural schools out of misplaced Soviet nostalgia when there were much, much more kids than there are today.

In this particular case, I suspect that this is a journo being dishonest in representation, it's probably actually Chinese-like solution being implemented - 10-11th grades educated in rural schools where there are 27 kids for all 11 grades is fucking stupid, it's just kids wasting time on their phones for 2 years
