I was reading the real Patton speech the one in the movie is based off of and it's funny how much they censored it.

I think it would be a logistical nightmare and would collapse the military if not lead to an insurgency.
It's been 56 years since the draft was abolished (after Vietnam). Everything about recruitment, screening, and training is now designed with a volunteer force in mind. They simply do not have the ability to force that many people into serving. Considering how much technical training the military has now, you can't hold that amount of people against their will for that long. Bases in the US can barely manage the light security they have now, turning them into fortresses to prevent escape would be impossible. And if they simply designed to forgo all the training and take the "give em a gun and shoot them if they desert" strategy would be an absolute disaster and lead to a total Iranian victory and the end of American hegemony.
So basically if you're an accelerationist you absolutely want them to do this because it would be a total strategic blunder.

You'd be getting the worst possible candidates who don't want to be there and would either have to be held by force for an extended period of time to train (basically the worst learning environment possible) or be sent out immediately with zero training to fight a professional military on their home terf.
I think this would be the fastest route to a revolution, there would be riots in the streets, genuinely the US government would collapse very quickly. They do not have the manpower to pull this off. ICE is awful and a wannabe gestapo but they don't have absolute power and are already miserable enough just trying to deal with an underclass.

They're waging psyops on highly condensed cities like Baltimore,Philadelphia,Chicago,Boston attempting to build up reactionary bases in the localities, because fighting a counter-insurgency in these regions and cities is a nightmare. The partial reason so many lumpens and gangs generally get shot up in a lot of these cities, is the highly condensed urbanized environment that allows for ambush, but also, old European style, narrow, one way streets that can act as death traps for both sides. Another thing is, it is hard to pin down where gun-fire comes from in cities like this, because sounds bounce off the walls, homes exist in rows down narrow streets, which causes this. Then there is the nook and cranny style of interconnected alleyways, and intertwining small streets that allow for people with high knowledge of the neighborhoods to evade aggressors. An example of all of this in action is Belfast, Ireland, during the troubles.

In fact many cities widened their streets, and "modernized" their formats to essentially riot proof their city. NYC did this. Philadelphia, and Baltimore did not. Chicago did restructure its layout, though this was due to the great fire, and the south side is still a highly condensed area that is filled with alley ways and back streets that only people who live there have full knowledge of. Same with Boston. This makes even low-scale conflicts with police forces nightmares, now imagine high-scale conflict.
