Because you’d think that, with how entrenched feminism is in Germany, that they would lobby to ban prostitution directly or indirectly (e.g., adoption the dumb “Nordic model” which is like trying to ban drugs by only arresting buyers instead of dealers), but it seems even the AfD is ok with prozzies and porn for all the rhetoric about “family values”. Granted, some Christian intellectuals in the Middle Ages did argue that brothels were necessary as a safety valve for sin, so conservatives being pro-prostitution isn’t unusual. Still, I am surprised by the dynamics.
Is it because of lobbying by the sex industry, because it’s too established for any challenge to be effective, or is it because German feminists don’t oppose it as much as French and Anglo feminists do?
