As an American I have no personal connection to East Germany other than the fact that my country caused it to get annexed. So as a leftist living in Germany could some of you guys explain what you think of it? I don’t know what most German leftists think of it but I once met one who said that it sucked and it wasn’t real socialism and stuff.
