๐Ÿ—ฝ UNITED STATES POLITICS ๐Ÿฆ…

>Thread for the hellish discussion related to the scourge of the earth, the destroyer of nations, the king of coups, the sultan of sanctions, the emir of the embargo, the autocrat of austerity, the doge of deregulation, the baron of busting unions, the prince of privatization, the lord of loan sharks, the patron-saint of proxy wars, the sponsor of settlers, the guarantor of genocides, the Divided $nakkkes of Amerikkkaโ„ข

<Copypasting the past OP edition

The American question is: how does a settler-imperialist nation transform itself into a decolonized socialist commonwealth without either reproducing the imperial form or fragmenting into balkanized enclaves that allow capital to reconstitute, while resolving the contradictions of internal colonization and liberating its external colonies, therefore using the empire's collapse to accelerate material conditions to enable the global revolution?

>zionists would get wealthier
>germany, portugal and greece same level
not buying into the credibility of this map for a second

watiznu in tha free world

>>2906975
neat but kinda pointless

>>2906975
like what this kinda tells me is that for the bottom 20% of the US things would actually get significantly better, and the 4th quintile would still see an improvement, and the entire earth would have a living standard comparable to central europe

>>2906975
delete this

>>2906940
Thatโ€™s not automating, thatโ€™s just being fucking stupid. Any complete automation of food services is coming after capitalist rule. They are far too incompetent to pull that shit off.

>>2906975
Yeah this is definitely over simplified
To put it on its head, would a honless person in america be poorer after the redustribution?

>>2906981
The 2019 graph also have Germany, Greece and Portugal with reduced values. I never found someone complaining about that for the 2019 one.
And about Israel, the data is consistent with a state where porkies now is very risky to have their wealth concentrated there.
I would only answer:
World wealth is dramatically more unequal than world income (GDP), the gap exists because global wealth inequality is far more extreme than global income inequality, a Gini of 88.3 against roughly the low 60s.
Now, I've explained Israel, but you can do your own research with Germany, Portugal and Greece.
For Germany I will only hint you one main thing: Home ownership rates.

>>2907039
>would a honless person in america be poorer after the redustribution?
well yeah obviously… isn't the point of communism to abolish capitalism and treats, like housing?

>>2907039
These are averages. But that homeless person would be richer than a homeless person in countries not blue, that's what the 2nd graph is telling you.

>>2906538
Genuinely why do straight men post videos of themselves dancing on tik took?
Apologies if Iโ€™m being a bit of a CHUD about this but I genuinely donโ€™t understand how any straight dude could feel comfortable doing this.
Itโ€™s like sucking a cock, it looks like it would very homosexual

It's a good thing communism is more than just "equalizing the current wealth in the world" and that more efficient methods of production and automation will allow us to achieve a standard of living beyond what we currently have

>>2906994
This was discussed in another thread but wealth in America is so unevenly distributed that the entire burden of ending imperialism could be borne by the US alone and America's GDP per capita would still be comparable to Italy or Czechia, both of which already beat the US in several QoL indicators.

>>2907048
I thought it was everyone gets the same wealth after the redistribution, and we're comparing the averages of each country before and after such a redistribution?

>>2907053
We need to be doalectical and socially punish non atraight people to be dancing
People should be less open and more alienated introverted

>>2907054
Tru tru

>>2907065
>I thought it was everyone gets the same wealth after the redistribution
This is another problem with the map btw. Thinking a global revolution means physically redistributing capital so that it's all even is some retarded rightoid's understanding of socialism. It's one step removed from the sharing toothbrushes meme. In reality ending imperialism in a global socialist context would mean ending imperialist economic relations between states, allowing poor countries to develop on their own terms, engaging in mutually beneficial trade, and providing technical or other assistance where necessary. In practice it would probably look like a hybrid of China's BRI and Cuba's solidarity initiatives.

>The jobs apocalypse is postponed. An AI jobs boom is here

>Initial effects of the technology on employment look positive

>Add it all up, and The Economist estimates that AI has so far created around 1m new jobs in America. That easily exceeds the roughly 200,000 lay-offs attributed to AI since mid-2023, and appears more than enough to offset weaker hiring in many back-office roles. Americaโ€™s AI infrastructure splurge has created many of them. The spending on the kit needed to make AI runโ€”from chips and servers to data centres, cooling systems and powerโ€”is roughly $500bn a year above what it was in 2022, when the world got to know ChatGPT, calculates Goldman Sachs, a bank. Data-centre construction alone is proceeding at an annual rate of more than $75bn, nearly 60% higher than a year ago, according to Census Bureau data. That building spree requires armies of workers: electricians to wire them, HVAC specialists to stop racks from overheating, grid engineers to hook them up to the power supply and technicians to install and maintain the machines.

<The scramble for workers is showing up in pay cheques, too. Indeed finds that installation and maintenance jobs at data centres advertise wages about 40% higher than comparable work elsewhere. Official wage data tell a similar story. In the year to June, average hourly earnings rose more than 13% in electrical-equipment manufacturing and nearly 8% among electrical contractors.

Yeah, global mean wealth per capita is about $58,000 ~ around $86,000 per adult. The us bottom quintile holds close to zero net wealth, the bottom decile is negative, student and consumer debt exceeding assets. So yes, the bottom two quintiles gain, and gain enormously. But that's not a surprising finding about America or any other country. it's true for the bottom quintile almost everywhere, including Germany and Japan. But for the fourth quintile, it sits well above the median, so they lose.
The table should help you find that info.
>>2907065
>we're comparing the averages of each country before and after such a redistribution?
top map = mean wealth per capita (of each individual country) รท median wealth per capita. Bottom = global mean wealth per capita รท that country's median.
When I grab the global mean wealth per capita รท that country's median., what I am doing is proving that the US would lose, across their entire population (2022=334,147,834) in this wealth distribution. And because I included all people in say, Namibia, a homeless person in would win. That's what the graph is doing.
>>2907069
That's not what the anon asked.
However, to your point in order to get a more just world, the wealth generated so far, in a global communist revolution, it must be redistributed egalitarian to formally change the relations governing its production and reproduction as Marx proposed. Fine, you can add to the basket so many other policies: unequal exchange, debt service, resource pricing, historical expropriation, etc. But the net result would be something like this, because the weight of what you said: the entire burden of ending imperialism is larger.
Hickel did a great job there.

>>2907082
>job numbers
>before revisions

Pfffffff

>>2907069
>ending imperialism in a global socialist context would mean ending imperialist economic relations between states, allowing poor countries to develop on their own terms, engaging in mutually beneficial trade
So you just want capitalism but like fairer and more free?

>>2907069
>In reality ending imperialism in a global socialist context would mean ending imperialist economic relations between states, allowing poor countries to develop on their own terms, engaging in mutually beneficial trade, and providing technical or other assistance where necessary.
so after "global revolution" what we get in a "global socialist context" is multiple nation-states that operate "on their own terms" and trade between each other? Lmao

>>2907069
funny how leftypol has such a hard time grasping these elementary socialist concepts

>>2907095
The first step is probably close to what sabocat says. If it were all a peaceful and non-violent planned situation, tbh.

>looking up ICE reports in my area
>see a video taken by someone hiding in their home of an ICE goon beating the shit out of an innocent on the side walk
>a random white dude walks around them like he could care less
The institutionalized police violence in this country still never fails to make me angry no matter how many times I see it.

>Socialism is when you're pro-trade and pro nation building

feels good as a thirdie to know that if my firstie comrades like sabo get in power of the most powerful military apparatus in the world they will immediately allow my local porky to exploit everyone here in their own terms so they can trade fairly in a global socialist context of dengist states, im so lucky they didnt fall for CIA ultroid nonsense about classless, stateless, moneyless society and all that crap

>>2907104
>implying any of americas neighbors would ever want to unify with the yankee imperialists after they raped the world for over a hundred years
both trade and nations predate capitalism and will outlive it too

>>2907090
>So you just want capitalism but like fairer and more free?
Trade isn't capitalism.
>>2907092
>so after "global revolution" what we get in a "global socialist context" is multiple nation-states that operate "on their own terms" and trade between each other?
For a while yes, as Marx says the nation is the existing geopolitical unit and as such class struggle must be carried out within it before it can be transcended. But as soon as they are able, states should begin amalgamating into progressively larger supranational unions, moving towards a world socialist republic.
>>2907106
Not sure where you got any of that. I didn't even mention Dengism. I lean far more towards an aggressive foreign policy for any socialist state, one that would sponsor revolutionary forces abroad.

the midterms don't fucking matter. congress does jack shit. the executive fucks congress and the senate in the ass and they take it an love it and ask for more. the will not reverse any of the shit trump has done.

>>2907124
I think we all know this.

>>2907108
>>implying any of americas neighbors would ever want to unify with the yankee imperialists after they raped the world for over a hundred years
Your brain is fried by petty naSOYnalist grievances and I'm saying this as someone who lives right next to AmeriKKKa and has been a direct victim of burger imperialism.
Like it or not, any successful revolution in the Western Hemisphere requires the collaboration between the proletariat of the countries of both North and South America.
>both trade and nations predate capitalism and will outlive it too
Both existed before capitalism but won't exist under Communism because the value form and commodity production will be abolished.
Just be a Keynesian socdem if all you want is industrialization of the 3rd world and more fair trade agreements.

>>2907116
>Not sure where you got any of that.
That was pure concentrated b8.

>>2907124
Even governors are more relevant than Congress at this point.

>>2907129
>someone who lives right next to AmeriKKKa and has been a direct victim of burger imperialism.
So you are admitting you are a Stockholm victim of AmeriKKKa. This is common because as a satellite you are taught at birth to praise the Yankee and their noble cause of democracy so it is hard to resist and picture a life without them

>>2906390
Its going to be hilarious when the USA gets abandoned like a street cat by the global capitalist class and put base in Argentina and Brazil. All the work the US has done for capitalism since 1945 and end up abandoned and left to rot with the understanding that the US was not exceptional for capitalism is a beautiful end to the empire

>>2907135
>So you're admitting [insane projecting fanfic]
No argument detected.

>>2907129
>Your brain is fried by petty naSOYnalist grievances
im american. it would be presumptuous of me to assume the small nations around america would immediately want to unify with our socialist project, which because of americas size would mean giving up sovereignty to the majority. long term developed communism means the amalgamation of all nations under a single polity, but the dismantling of national distinctions is a process that will take a lot of time when initially entering the communist stage. a generation perhaps, when nationalism is out of living memory

>>2907069
God hates Leninism

>>2907139

Looks like the truth hurts

>>2907116

It would have if it has overthrown capitalist relations of production within individual countries.

>>2906975
why is the US surprisingly poor in these graphs?

not to be a downer but those are one time jobs building data centers, once its completed you only need a few people to maintain, so those wage premiums for tradies only apply during the buildout
