I have seen this retardation spammed all over the place because of austrian economic loons however it always did feel so retarded.

I think this is the most condensed example of it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI3OH4QO5JY

Basically it becomes more and more retarded until you end up
>What about captain america?
>And captain america not fighting Thanos in my MCU?!
>communism and money can not exist!

That was always a incredibly retarded argument and I do not understand how the viewers of this trash are not dying of cringe.

Did people make debunking of this """"logic"""" because the video is pure insanity. The truth is that there is no such thing as central planning.
>Herp derp how do we produce things? How many of them?!
How does the factory do it now?

This is something this video never answers it only says
>People do whatever they want today this is capitalism
Absurdist and ridiculous.

However austrian loons will throw around literally religious phrases
<They are measuring the market signals
By the magic powers the oracle has presumably.
<The market decides!
Like there is some god entity the clergy talks to on this subject and this god is named the market.

And pretend like their insanity makes any sense whatsoever.
However instead of asking where this self contradictory god named the market lives or who exactly is talking to him (questions who will never be answered by Austrian cultists) the video ditches the religious nonsense of the Austrian cult and tries an atheistic version of this argument.

I mean this is a simple question if you are 18 or about to start to think(and never worked in any production job whatsoever; student/NEET) about how to organize things however the solution is very simple an this is true of everyone even magical capitalist will fail this.

If you throw people on some isolated island and tell them to figure things out everything will devolve into chaos this is regardless of anything involved. And no
>Letting people decide their own things
Will result in total disaster very fast. The scenario is not even coherent it does not even say if this is some isolated island or the walking dead universe or what.

Presumably there is internet and it has power since people are submitting things there and presumably there are farms and factories and transportation and it was not destroyed.

However after a communist revolution with all of this in place(not isolated island not the walking dead universe) the solution is simple, just do it like it was always done. The video makes only sense if you are trying to come up with some alternative to money, however lets keep money and do the same thing. I mean there is no controversial question of
>HoW MuTcH Is tHeRe To PrOdUcE?!
Because this is handled by orders who did come by the client firms and they did come long before today since most businesses can have year long contracts that are not even fully realized yet.
This is something you realize if you ever worked in your life and not are a NEET or Student or only produce youtube videos for a living!
>What if people order to mutch?!

1) You are dealing with bosses or firms who are serious and not insane. You can replace capitalist boss with Combine Manager if you like.
2) Normally they order the same things like 50K units every day with some fluctuation for seasonal events so +10% -20% fluctuation
3) If the client orders something out of the ordinary like lets say 100Bilion units you seriously ask them if they can fulfill this obligation or if this is a mistake. I presume a boss would reject a order like that and either phone back or simply give them their standard unit of 50K if they can not talk to them and are getting some deranged e-mails and no one saying anything.
4) If they can not pay their obligation they get sued.
5) A factory has a maximal output capacity so if you have 10 clients who all take 50K units (500K per day) your max output is about 600K of the factory or presumably 700K if you really try to do overtime and speed some things up. So a ridiculous order like 100Billion will get rejected since that means you need to break obligations with other clients.

Seriously this is something you can figure out if you ever worked in a factory or even in any business! I have no idea how people who have a job do not realize this cringe shit arguments for absolute bullshit. I seriously think the only people who repeat this are Students(legal NEETS), NEETS who did not work a day in their life and people who do some bullshit like make youtube videos for a living.

6) The final part of this is some fidgeting with the number if you have a order for 50K units you will make something like 51K or 52K units because sometimes the machine fucks up and shredded the product or some parts come out defective and need to be thrown out.

There is also some guess work like
>(ice cream) Last year this season(winter) we needed to make only 10K units a day so it will probably be the same.

7) Now one can ask where these numbers come from? They come from the previous years and previous records of orders and production. Something the capitalist boss keeps. In a communist revolution scenario these records can be taken or people who work there can remember things if the capitalist decides to burn or destroy these records.

8) Another idea is that the video insists on creating some kind of economic dictator who decides everything. Now if taken as a serious argument and not some exercise for students or people who start thinking about the economy that is silly. Because in the military you do not have 1 guy who decides everything. There is no magic dictator who orders every foot moved of every soldier at what time
<Epic debunking of the army everyone!
<How can 1 guy decide what position of every finger ever soldier must have?!
<Ha no one can do that!
<IMPOSSIBLE! GENERALS DEBUNKED!

A general gives orders to lower-ranking officers (Lieutenants) who give orders to people under them and a general does not micro manage every movement of every private there is a chain of command and the general will order a Battalions to move to a position at a given time and this is the responsibility of the people under him to do it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_hierarchy
https://www.army.mil/ranks/

So after a communist revolution things can get ruff because some capitalists can decide to destroy their records(far more easy on the computer then on paper) of these things however things will iron themselves out eventually.

I also do not want people to go to the traditional
>and some people are better at making pants! Capitalism YES!
And go to the the insulting with
<And then there is the capitalist boss who is the best at TAKING money so he takes the most! Capitalism YES!
Because this avoids the silly student question and concentrates on the capitalists as parasites.

AI + robots will make all of this irrelevant.

Your writing style sucks.
Anyways, I'm tired but so-called "socialist" central planning is basically the same thing as a capitalist monopoly in function. Without competition, monopolies just produce dogshit quality commodities. This is why the state-capitalist shithole USSR was wholly inefficient and eventually stagnated; you can only forcibly collectivize for so long lol. The only area where this didn't apply was military and state technology but this is only because the USSR was competing with other states.

Please don't lump all Austrian Economists into one box.
There is a difference between post-Mises and pre-Mises Austrian Economists – you can read about the differences here:
<There were Austrian socialists of the social democratic variety, and modern Austrians have ignored them, and questions about how early Austrian economics was compatible with Fabian socialism. A more serious question would also be: why are there no Austrian social democrats today?
https://socialdemocracy21stcentury.blogspot.com/2011/06/why-are-there-no-austrian-socialists.html?m=1
>planning
As Menger writes, all economic activity is planning.
Hayek also follows up; markets is when there are lots of planners.
Menger also adds that the government can effectively plan, such as in the case of public services; even Mises later on distinguishes between state intervention and Socialism as such (1949):
<It is necessary to point out this fact in order to prevent a confusion of socialism and interventionism. The system of interventionism or of the hampered market economy differs from the German pattern of socialism by the very fact that it is still a market economy.
https://oll.libertyfund.org/pages/reader-mises-inteventionism
It should be known that Mises was not a libertarian himself – certainly not an "anarchist" in any sense. Rothbard saw anarcho-capitalism emerging out of individualist anarchism (e.g. Spooner, Stirner), not Liberalism.

Can't wait until 20% of the economy is hallucinated. Maybe it already happened.

>Please don't lump all Austrian Economists into one box.
>There is a difference between post-Mises and pre-Mises Austrian Economists

I literally do not care about the so obscure school of economics that it is not even in modern academia, I only see the mises.org dog shit propaganda and Praxeology is either the most retarded thing made up or something that will make you lose faith in humanity.

Praxeology
>Lets not measure anything LOL because numbers not real and stuff LOL!

>>2933920
>Your writing style sucks.

I welcome constructive criticism.

>The only area where this didn't apply was military and state technology but this is only because the USSR was competing with other states.
Funny because thats the area planners were most involved in. Consumer goods werent planned in a centralized fashion like most people believe. I saw a study quite recently that said something along the lines of a lack of investment in alot of areas, especially in regards to the latter half.

>>2933935
>I literally do not care about the so obscure school of economics
But that's the problem.
>praxeology
I would suggest you look at David Friedman, who despite being an anarcho-capitalist, gives much credence to behaviourism, instead:
<I have long argued that the economic assumption of rationality is useful not because it is a complete and correct description of real world behavior but because it describes that part of behavior that is predictable.
https://truthonthemarket.com/2010/12/06/david-friedman-on-behavioral-economics-intriguing-research-project-with-reservations/amp/
The Chicago School by comparison is dependent on empiricism.
