> Texas Lt. Gov Elect Vikki Goodwin has voiced policy views that, if acted on, would turn Texas into a sanctuary state akin to Oregon and California. She supports allowing all “refugees” to cross the border with impunity and stay, opposes any police cooperation with ICE, voted against Jocylyn’s Law denying bail to violent criminal aliens, voted against the law that banned sanctuary city policies in Texas, and opposed state spending on border security and walls.

>Democratic challenger Shelly Headen won the race for North Carolina House District 62 on Tuesday, defeating Rep. John Blust, a Republican, in a competitive Guilford County legislative race.
>The election featured Republican incumbent Blust and Democratic challenger Headen in a district covering portions of northwestern Guilford County. Unofficial results from the North Carolina State Board of Elections show Headen receiving 21,367 votes, or 50.27%, compared with Blust’s 21,134 votes, or 49.73%.[…]
>The campaign attracted statewide and national attention in September after Headen’s resurfaced social media posts drew criticism from Republican lawmakers. In one post, Headen wrote, “I think our only hope is an attack on US Soil … preferably Alabama, Louisiana … where the stupid people live.” In other posts, she compared President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement with Hitler and Nazi Germany and invoked the Holocaust.
>The North Carolina House Democratic Caucus condemned the posts and said it would no longer support her candidacy. >>2947656republicans are accelerationists mass migration is a tool used by the bourgeois to suppress worker movements
>>2947654we've been over this hundreds of times. imperial core-oids don't have kids because they have access to abortion, birth control, contraception, sex education, etc… therefore porky needs to source the reserve army of labor from the periphery where women still have like 6 kids. also the real driver of "mass migration" is imperialism. if imperial-core-oids didn't have higher wages the peripher-oids, then peripher-oids wouldn't move to the imperial core. do you think they move to america because they want to eat burger and get heart attack at strip club? no! they move there because wages are higher and currency has more purchasing power. if the periphery had abortion, birth control., contraception, sex education, there would be no future reserve army of labor for porky, and if wages were equalized between core and periphery, there would be no "mass migration." so why won't wages equalize? unequal development. that is the actual base political-economic cause. unequal development. the periphery does not have the same level of development as the core, and therefore does not have the automation and high productivity and high wages of the core. what's more, they cannot build this because they sell off all their natural resources to the core. instead of getting their own computers, they sell off their cobalt. how to fix this? migration is a tertiary effect of this.

>>2947667because "mass migration" is a tertiary effect of capitalist imperialism and anyone who concerns themselves primarily with it is playing whackamole with the heads of a hydra.
>>2947666No they aren't. "Negative birth rates" are not the norm. You're thinking of "Births below replacement rate" which also aren't the norm. Globally, children per woman is still 2.3, and outside Africa, there are still places where more than 2 children per woman is the norm, like India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and much of Latin America.
I suspect capitalism will truly be finished when global fertility rate dips below 2, because it means each subsequent generation of exploitable workers will be smaller than the last, and the supply of variable capital relative to constant capital will destroy profit rates.

>>2947697Mississippi has fallen
>>2947731Good. Then the only thing left is for Africa to catch up to the "west" in terms of reproductive rights and you will effectively have a global birth strike against capital, though unconscious. Some don't like it. I have even heard it argued that reproductive rights for women are genocidal, but I think those are just chuds trying to reframe their reaction. When Marx wrote capital, conditions were such that even the British proletariat were having 3 or 4 children per woman, and nobody had condoms, contraception, sex education, or anything. Capital is not self-abolishing, but where are they going to get a reserve army if nobody's having kids? They can't answer that. The best they could do is clone humans and reinvent slavery, but right now they are invested in the delusion that AI will do everything for them.
>>2947732oh shit. didn't know that. interesting
Mississippi spread has slowly increased to around 2000 votes in favor of Dems.
>>2947731WRONG!
a country being below replacement rate doesn't imply that there are no more young people. if india has 300 million men between 18 to 45 years of age, that's 300 million the bourgeoisie can siphon to the developed world, regardless of birthrates
what you want to say, is that migration is not sustainable in the long term because capitalism has collapsed the birthrates everywhere (or will eventually do so in the case of africa).
>>2947660>imperial core-oids don't have kids because they have access to abortionWRONG!
it's because of higher exploitation rates. the less you have as a percentage of the wealth in society, the lower your position in that society is, and, because of how exploitation works, the less you're able to sustain other people. regardless the amount of treats you may have access to
>porky needs to source the reserve army of labor from the periphery where women still have like 6 kids.you are making two mistakes here:
- that's not the reserve army of labor in the strict marxist sense:
- a worker from india can get a job in saudi arabia regardless of the average number of children per women in india
Maybe we CAN actually just voot our way to socialism. Was Lassalle right all along?
>>2947734>Then the only thing left is for Africa to catch up to the "west" in terms of reproductive rights and you will effectively have a global birth strike against capitalExplain why Burgers Porkies switched from USAID to Protego, gotta keep that reserve army propped up plus you can rile up whitey against the Africans horde in the same move.

>>2947739if you're disciplined enough to hold a job under capitalism, you don't need abortions or contraceptives to stop having children. this is not an argument against contraceptives, but against the notion that the fertility collapse can be explained by contraceptive technology
>>2947737>imply that there are no more young peoplei was not implying this. im saying the indian states need for young people will be as much as americas. india also realizes the economic advantage it has with its population size and can easily restrict emigration as it develops capitalistically. western porky can no longer rely on foreign labor anymore since labor is in demand everywhere as the whole world shrinks

>>2947727it probably is wishful thinking, but yeah about 10 pissed off republicans with not much to lose and plenty to gain could at the very least have the admin by the balls holding that over them. A sort of reversal of the power dynamic between Trump and congressional GOP figures.
>>2947746>the indian states need for young people will be as much as americasthis is factually wrong. american companies pay higher wages, which means that they have a stronger demand for labor. furthermore, the american companies are, on average, overwhelmingly more productive, so the same amount of labor will be more productive if it is allocated in the american economy
>india also realizes the economic advantage it has with its population size and can easily restrict emigration as it develops capitalisticallyit's the other way around: less labor means there is a bigger incentive for technological innovation. when labor is abundant, wages are low and buying work-saving machinery is anti-economical. furthermore, a labor shortage in india would shift the class balance in favor of the workers, which would mean lower exploitation rates, adding another incentive for development

Everywhere across the industrialized west and thanks to the internet, left-wing class politics are popular, and social-democrats, socialists and communists are doing the mobilizing. That people here a surprised a blue tsunami happened shows how little you actually understand Marxism, diamat and how you are really not reading what's written on the wall.
There is no Gen Zyklon. The right-wing has been a decade long psyop led by marketing ghouls, Zionists, podcasters and debate-bros. Every rightist movement in the industrialized west follows this pattern of a broad heterogeneous right uniting under a leader with no clear standing and then the movement becomes paranoid and collapses under the weight of its own contradictions.

>look how many western tech firms are opening campuses in India. a company that employs more workers (with the same technology) is more profitable>(with the same technology)funny caveat. I guess you intuitively understood that they are not deploying the same technology. even in your example, the programmer in india doesn't have the same education as the programmer in america, there is no cmu or mit in india. they have no reason to deploy that technology there if wages are so low that hiring people is cheaper than investing

https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1873/01/indifferentism.htm> “If in the political struggle against the bourgeois state the workers succeed only in extracting concessions, then they are guilty of compromise; and this is contrary to eternal principles. All peaceful movements, such as those in which English and American workers have the bad habit of engaging, are therefore to be despised. Workers must not struggle to establish a legal limit to the working day, because this is to compromise with the masters, who can then only exploit them for ten or twelve hours, instead of fourteen or sixteen. They must not even exert themselves in order legally to prohibit the employment in factories of children under the age of ten, because by such means they do not bring to an end the exploitation of children over ten: they thus commit a new compromise, which stains the purity of the eternal principles.
< It cannot be denied that if the apostles of political indifferentism were to express themselves with such clarity, the working class would make short shrift of them and would resent being insulted by these doctrinaire bourgeois and displaced gentlemen, who are so stupid or so naive as to attempt to deny to the working class any real means of struggle. For all arms with which to fight must be drawn from society as it is and the fatal conditions of this struggle have the misfortune of not being easily adapted to the idealistic fantasies which these doctors in social science have exalted as divinities, under the names of Freedom, Autonomy, Anarchy. However the working-class movement is today so powerful that these philanthropic sectarians dare not repeat for the economic struggle those great truths which they used incessantly to proclaim on the subject of the political struggle. They are simply too cowardly to apply them any longer to strikes, combinations, single-craft unions, laws on the labour of women and children, on the limitation of the working day etc., etc. >>2947781the JCP are imperialists for claiming the Senkaku Islands as japanese, instead of belonging to China. they'll burn in hellfire with the rest of the japanese nationalists

Its just elevating a few recorded events that benefit me and downplaying a few that don't, like 3 or so events that could feasibly go both ways. For example, there's one (1) document by a lower-level naval officer proposing to dock some ships there in the 17th century, which was rejected. Is that a "formal claim"?
There are diaries of Chinese sailors who remarked that the Ryukyuans did not consider the islands to be a part of the Ryukyu Islands. Can we extrapolate that, therefore, they considered them as Chinese?
There's one (1) map published in a 1960s Chinese atlas that shows it in its Japanese name. Is that "formal recognition"?
I mean its really just trash. By all standards no government cared about the islands until after the Meiji Restoration and the Qing Westernization campaign. It really is as simple as, "its good for me if I have it so I want it", versus "no, its good for me if I have it so I want it".

The longer the illusions of reform is kept among the leading ideologues in the movement, it will stay there. The DSA needs to make, for example, a theoretical break with reformist ideas, but this does not necessarily reflect its minimal program, which can still seek concessions building up to a situation where dual power is established.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/white-house-leak-reveals-trumps-fury-at-election-disaster-as-democrats-take-the-house-and-senateDonald Trump was so angry at his breathtaking midterm defeat that he holed himself up in the dark with his ever-present aide, Natalie Harp, as the results rolled in.
A White House insider told the Daily Mail that aides ordered platters of appetizers from the Cheesecake Factory in the “delusional” expectation that there’d be something to celebrate as the results of the nationwide contests poured in on Tuesday night.
But by 10 p.m. the uneaten trays of sliders and eggrolls were turning stale in the East Room as even top administration officials fled the building to drown their sorrows in the bars of D.C.
Within an hour of the first results, Trump was so furious that he briefly lost the ability to speak, holed up in his second-floor private residence with Harp, his executive assistant, and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
“He’s watching Fox News barely uttering a word and paralyzed into silence,” one insider told the Mail. “It’s very, very dark in the residence,” another added. “It’s a dark scene.”
The 80-year-old president rode into Tuesday’s polls with his approval at a miserable 32 percent and with Democrats enjoying a 9-point advantage on the generic congressional ballot.
The Democrats made good on that lead to sweep both the House and Senate in a blue tsunami that will leave Trump struggling to get his head above water for the remainder of his second term.
Ever eager to feed him good news, Trump’s advisers kept promising him a midterm victory right up until the polls opened.
Wiles in particular was telling White House staff that Republicans would come out on top as late as September, one source told the Mail.
And the insider has now also revealed that Trump’s former campaign manager Chris LaCivita had been delivering the same message to the president at weekly Thursday meetings.
That unfounded optimism apparently had West Wing staffers chattering about the GOP expanding their majority in both the House and Senate even as late as Tuesday morning.
“Delusional,” as the Mail’s source put it. “They were delusional right until the very end.”
Another insider recalled watching the president’s longtime comms strategist Jason Miller panicking and doused in sweat as newscasters announced one embarrassing Republican electoral defeat after another.
Trump’s paralyzing rage didn’t seem to keep him from making it known on Truth Social. “Fox News bears responsibility for these losses,” he wrote in one livid screed.
“If Greg Abbott, the Governor of Texas, hadn’t become a RINO in the last six months of his Political Life, he wouldn’t have lost,” the president wrote in another.
“I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE,” he later added, despite spending months begging voters to imagine they’d be casting ballots for him personally.
And as the president’s fury found an outlet online, whiskey-soaked aides gathered in a bar three streets from the White House to huddle over who in the administration they expect to take the fall for the midterm drubbing.
“Tonight would have looked very different without the Iran War,” as one insider put it to the Mail. “I believe you’ll ultimately see POTUS hold Hegseth accountable.”
Others suggested the ax is equally likely to swing at the State Department. “[Marco] Rubio is over,” another person said. “Though that’s maybe also true for all Republicans who touched Trump’s foreign policy.”
Voters consistently ranked the president’s disastrous war of choice with Tehran and its devastating impact on the cost of living as chief concerns ahead of the polls, even as Trump dismissed unaffordability as a Democratic “hoax” and privately charted options for renewed attacks on Iran once the results were in.
There appears to be a general consensus that Trump’s fury will fall hardest on Wiles after the president was reported last month to have privately called allies to ask who ought to replace his powerful chief of staff.
But one aide warned that coming departures are just as likely reflect the scale at which voters have now expressed their own anger at the Trump administration.
“If the boss is smart he’ll purge everyone tomorrow to save his legacy,” the person said.

>History was made last night.
>For months, we were saying that 2026 was the most consequential midterm election of our lifetimes.
>Unfortunately, we were right. Sometimes history is to be celebrated; other times, it is to be mourned. Always, it must be reckoned with.
>2026 was not simply a blue wave; it was a blue tsunami. It was an ass kicking. It was not simply a bad 2006 midterm election. It was a Watergate-level repudiation. What happened, and why? What are the consequences, and where on earth do we go from here?
>When all the votes were counted, the problem wasn’t turnout. Instead, our voters, Republicans, Libertarians, Independents, showed up and voted, and rejected our candidates, voting Democrat instead. We’ve lost the House. We’ve lost the Senate. When all is said and done, we will have lost eight to 10 Senate seats.
>We lost in historically red states, like South Carolina and North Carolina, Kansas and Iowa. We lost in purple states, like Michigan, and New Hampshire, and Georgia. And we just barely won by just a single point in bright red states like Florida and Louisiana, and then there’s Texas.
>Nowhere are the consequences of this election greater than Texas. In the Lone Star State, we lost every single statewide election. For weeks, I had been publicly warning on this podcast that we were in very real danger of losing everything in Texas. Far too few believed that was possible. I am very, very sorry that it came to pass. Texas has not had a Democrat governor since 1994. We haven’t had a Democrat senator since 1993. Now we’ll have both.
<Why were the results so overwhelming?
>The top issue, cost of living, is very real. Too many in politics dismissed it. They didn’t understand. They pointed to the macro numbers showing the stock markets soaring, median income at record highs, and poverty at record lows. Those data are true, but they don’t tell all of the story.
<Here are some stats that are a lot more real and personal. Spam, Hormel’s processed meat substitute, broke record sales, selling 113 million cans last year. That is nearly as much spam as was sold during the entirety of World War II. 29 percent of Americans have used buy now, pay later for groceries this year. That’s double the share just two years ago.We eating good in America. Spam is considered a luxury in South Korea.
>In August, banks repossessed 42% more homes than they did last year. In 2024, car repossessions topped 2.3 million, above the 2009 peak in the middle of the Great Financial Crisis. In 2025, 6% of 401k holders took hardship withdrawals, paying penalties. That is a record, and triple the norm.
<And here’s one that’s really stunning. Americans made more than 75 million paid plasma donations in 2026. That’s another record. That means 200,000 Americans every single day, with a needle in their arm, just to pay for groceries.Americans are just blood bags kek.
>That is very real pain from real Americans, and too many Republican politicians seem like they didn’t understand or they didn’t care. Food is too high, gas is too high, diesel is too high, insurance is too high, life is too high.
>Tariffs have made everything too expensive, and the Iran war has dragged on too long. It should have been brief, decisive, and over. It needs to end, and we should never, under any circumstances, give the Ayatollah billions of dollars.Ol Rafael. Forever Never Trumper and man of the people. Would be funny to go back and pull all his previous statements on the tariffs and the Iran War.
>And in Washington, they will attack Trump every single day, constantly. Impeachment hearings, subpoenas, his family, cabinet members, business leaders, open persecution, and nonstop retaliation. Make no mistake. Nationally, the radicals are in charge. The communists and the Islamists who have taken over the Democrat Party have now taken over the United States Congress. They will be unleashed. Both sides of his mouth. Nobody supports Trump more than him, but also he was the one that was against all of Trump's policies to begin with.
>In the next two years, we need to do two things.
>One, fight the madness. I will work with Democrats when they’re willing to be reasonable. Last night, I called James Talarico. I congratulated him on his very impressive victory. It was a pleasant conversation, and I told him that I looked forward to working with him to try to benefit Texas.
>So, if there are things like flood relief for the Hill Country, or trying to get the space academy to Texas, he and I will work together. But if the newly elected radicals push policies that hurt Texas, raising taxes, destroying jobs, opening the border, releasing violent criminals, threatening our children, undermining our constitutional rights, I will fight with all of my strength to defend Texas and to defend the Constitution.
>And number two, we need to rebuild, getting behind policies that directly benefit the constituents we lost.
>There’s a complicated story, no doubt, of what happened on Election Day, but as I see it, the key constituencies we lost were blue-collar voters, what had rightly become the core base of our party, Evangelical Christians, who didn’t show up with the same numbers and fervor as prior elections, farmers and ranchers. Tragically, we alienated rural America. Young people, who excitedly had voted Republican in 2024, and who shifted hard blue this cycle. And of course, Hispanics.
<But hear me now: we will bring Texas back. I am filled with hope and optimism. Texas will be red again. We have not suddenly become a bunch of tofu-eating, gun-banning, tutu-wearing pinko commie liberals. That ain’t us. Texas is still Texas.Tofu eating, tutu-wearing. Trying to pretend now he's a guy who cares about real issues of the working man's pocket book and still has to go back to his culture war about eating tofu and wearing tutus. He can't help himself.
>We will rebuild as a true blue-collar party, not by embracing socialism, but by being real free-market conservatives. The way we built the Texas economic miracle in the first place, and we will build and rebuild America as well.
>When the zealots overreach, and they will, we will stand ready to lead in the direction of freedom, of prosperity, of safety, and security, and common sense. We will return to a new dawn of freedom in America.
>It is dark right now, but it is always darkest before the dawn, and morning is coming. That is my fervent prayer, and that is my commitment to you.>>2947973This fucking guy. LMAO. I wonder how much goofier he is going to get in the next 2 years because all the power he will have is too do stupid shit like this that costs nothing and affects no one.
Tomorrow:
>Trump signs America is hottest nation in the world proclamation!Day After:

>>2948002Honestly pretty happy with the DSA's electoral results. My only disappointment of the night was that Prop 40 didn't pass out here. Though billionaires had been funding a lot of ads insinuating that "actually the language of the bill means the state can raise EVERYONES taxes!"
That and I think there's a general cynicism about the level of taxation here in Cali and the corruption at the state level; like IIRC Karen Bass' housing campaign basically just ended up being a slush fund fund for landords in districts run by establishment dems.
Either way, it's my hope that these midterms are the start of a real Left wing party growing within America. Trump is honestly the perfect vector for growing a Socialist movement because he's got this great mix of mammon-like greed, stupidity, and willingness to desecrate the myths of American liberalism (by being so openly corrupt without being removed from office)

>>2948053>My only disappointment of the night was that Prop 40 didn't pass out here. My biggest disappointment was Angie Nixon losing. I remember Florida was supposed to be a purple state, but the Dem won in Kansas and South Carolina even but lost in Florida. How the fuck?
>That and I think there's a general cynicism about the level of taxation here in Cali and the corruption at the state level; like IIRC Karen Bass' housing campaign basically just ended up being a slush fund fund for landords in districts run by establishment dems.California and Los Angeles government are corrupt as fuck. I remember a lot of stories coming out over the years about the local government getting kick backs from various business interests. Same in NYC. Cuomo's family was getting like hundreds of dollars a night to house homeless people in shittiest little dormitories you ever saw. It's really a disgrace to the idea of social welfare that in these liberal cities it just turns into a graft vehicle for the wealthy.
>Either way, it's my hope that these midterms are the start of a real Left wing party growing within America. Trump is honestly the perfect vector for growing a Socialist movement because he's got this great mix of mammon-like greed, stupidity, and willingness to desecrate the myths of American liberalism (by being so openly corrupt without being removed from office)I hope the DSA and whatever orgs are inspired by this year and take the next two years to get their shit together and hopefully they have dozens of candidates successfully primarying establishment Dems and winning elections.
It's been less than 24 hours and this board has already returned to 2017 levels of DNC cuckery.
Reminder, since many here have very short memories: Three members of "the Squad" voted to break the rail strike. Sanders refused to condemn the ethnic cleansing in Gaza until tens of thousands of people were already dead. Mamdani didn't even wait until he was inaugurated before holding a photo op with Trump where he fellated him and talked about how much they had in common (despite Mamdani repeatedly calling Trump a fascist; a peculiar way for a self-professed "socialist" to treat a fascist). This is where DSA cuckolding leads. This is where supporting the Democrats gets you.
>>2948064Mamdani maintains an openly Zionist police commissioner from one of the wealthiest families in the world, who utilizes a brutal secret police to crack down on all anti-Israel organizing inside NYC.
Mamdani knows this and keeps her anyway, because he needs Hochul's support to implement any of his reforms. Meaning, he is systematically hamstrung by the system he insists on working inside.
>>2948065Of course. He's a totally unprincipled, ruthless careerist. The same breed as Obama and AOC and every other hot young up-and-comer that has been touted by the Dems as the new "voice of the progressive movement" and swallowed hook, line, and sinker by the American "Left" only to immediately betray everything they supposedly believed in as soon as it was convenient to do so.
