So it looks like Nithya Raman defeated Karen Bass in the LA, kind of cynical about her prospects though. From what I understand she isn't really opposed to Israel.

honestly there's no sane reason why an American marxist should be bitching and moaning about their homeland being attacked by the capitalist governments of haiti, iran, venezuela, yemen, etc. as they are enslaved nations under economic and militaristic siege but no for some reason their lives are sacrosanct and off limits. Westoids want change just not at their expense
>>2948675god damn you're a retard who insists on missing the point for three threads in a row. any war undertaken by a capitalist government IS IMPERIALISM. haiti, iran, venezuela, yemen, etc. will never ever ever ever ever attack the burger reich because that would threaten capitalism. if they actually attacked the burger reich, it would be because they are no longer capitalist. you misconstrue this as "bitching" about some fantasy scenario where america is eaten by its own dogs. lmfao

>>2948765You think more Democrats in office will help stop war?
lol
>>2948765It really doesn't take much to make western liberals upset though. I'm not saying communism means owning da libs but with leftist thought, I'm saying that it's like tiptoeing through broken glass to get them to apply some thought to their arguments and not resort to culture war discourse.
>>2948765I posted this knowing most of the replies will be chatgpt zigbots but I can't help but be a little amused watching a clear positive trend over the past decade compared to pre-2016 where the left was basically nonexistent even in the popular consciousness on any level and seeing the average leftoid (not just on leftypol) screeching their histrionics about how the Democrats won't do anything and will betray us. Like yeah no shit, do you think you're clever for pointing that out or educating your echo chamber of leftoid ultras who have no model of history beyond pie-in-the-sky 0 to 100 revolution right now -ism? The Democrats have the spotlight now and they will almost certainly destroy every last shred of plausibility liberalism has in the eyes of their constituents while socialism will only continue to look better. It's embarrassing how few seem to realize that this is how history functions.
>>2948752canada and america need to stay apart at all costs but I am not optimistic about Canadian attempts to reduce the leverage on them
>>2948771Where did he say that
>>2948712And all of that did jack shit for Palestinians, who BEGGED you worthless turds to open up a second front. Instead while the innocents of Gaza saw their homes destroyed, their loved ones reduced to red mist and their children subjected to ritual slaughter, you and your comrades decided to host orgies on college campuses. A meaningless gesture of the labor aristocracy which did nothing by design, since you don’t see the people of the imperial periphery as human
>>2948778do you know what a question mark is?
lol
>>2948774You're giving credit to the Democrats for something they didn't do. Socialism is not at record popularity because the DSA runs candidates. It's at record popularity because the chasm between the rich and poor in this country is the greatest it's been in well over a century. One of the chief political functions of the Democratic Party is to funnel working class and left-wing anger back into bourgeois channels. They SLOW down radicalism, they don't encourage it. If the DNC didn't have so many "leftists" in mental shackles, who knows where the USA would be right now. We might actually have a mass labor party by now for all you know.
>>2948775Well that's the kicker. Dems can do nothing to stop the coming economic collapse and rise of China. They also can't win nor end the Iran war on terms that won't hurt the US even more. The treating until republicans take power again tactic that the dems do to cool things down won't work this time. People are angry and they will now get even angrier.
>>2948778He implied it by suggesting that voting for Democrats and cheering warporn are contradictory sets of behavior.
>>2948784The only socialism with any popularity is National Socialism. Communism is a popular thing for Neo-Nazis to claim to adhere to , but the moment it’s made clear that Communism would entail giving up their treats they run screaming into the arms of AOCIA and other modern Hitlers, demanding genocide of the periphery
>>2948775after the iran blunder there's nothing that can stop china
>>2948785I really don't understand the exchange between those people. Are they all replying to glenn? glenn is one ass stupid commentator. at the level of michael tracey.
>>2948784The contradictions will continue to sharpen until they are resolved. What you're saying is correct but the reality is that the left
is in fact shackled by the Democrats and that this will only be worked through by liberalism exhausting all its possibilities. We already are at the point where liberalism can no longer effectively manage the decline of the US on a concrete material level because the existence of the US as an empire is at odds with history, and it continues to prove this with aborted imperialist wars of aggression. There's nowhere to go but up from here; the Democrats winning is a good thing because they will fail and their opposition has destroyed its reputation beyond salvaging. You can't flip everyone back to the Republicans in 2028 or 2032 when there are no longer any fence-sitter moderates and the GOP has the stink of Trump, Epstein, Musk, ICE, the Iran war, AI and tech billionaires, and countless other things that will for generations make it the party of cartoonish wickedness and corruption.

What's this shit about Hegseth? Is he getting purged?
>>2948810But anon, where will all the reactionary exiles go when Miami is no longer an option?
>>2948810Genuine question: the revolution is supposed to be international. If theres a revolution in North America and not south america, what's the expectation here?
>>2948815To places that arent geographically god tier
>>2948817>the revolution is supposed to be international.that was Marx expectation. It wasn't the outcome.
Reminding that many things Marx were presuppositions, as in, a prediction, and not all of them were predicted accordingly.
And that has been a long debate since the USSR…
I prefer to go with my memes to mock the idea that it needs to be international.
Even if Democrats manage to capitalize on this blue wave, I wouldn't expect it to translate into the kind of fundamental change many people are hoping for. The political, economic, and diplomatic damage accumulated over the past several years, both domestically and internationally, will take considerably longer than a single election cycle to address.
There are certainly differences within the Democratic Party, but much of its establishment still operates within a relatively conventional foreign-policy framework, particularly when it comes to its longstanding support for Israel. In many respects, its mainstream leadership is closer to the centrist, interventionist politics of the 1990s than to the progressive movement some voters would like to see. One area where a meaningful shift could emerge is diplomacy with Iran, particularly if there is a willingness to move away from confrontation and toward a more pragmatic approach to regional stability.
Ultimately, electoral gains don't automatically translate into structural reform. Even with a stronger Democratic presence, meaningful progress would depend on political will, congressional cooperation, and a willingness to challenge established policy positions. And economically, I wouldn't expect immediate relief. Energy prices, inflationary pressures, and the broader cost of living are shaped by factors that won't simply disappear with a change in congressional leadership.
>>2948823Revolutions have gone international plenty of times, and in our global economy the likelihood of revolution being contained to one nation seems unlikely. In either case obviously america would work to amalgamize with china and cuba and at that point it would truly be international
>>2948823>that was Marx expectation. It wasn't the outcomewhy do you speak like history has ended?
>>2948829well, the USSR happened. It contradicted the proposed argument. and when killed by treacherous individuals, it became the antithesis. one can synthetize that the argument is not that, or, until proven incorrect, not a generalization.
>>2948827oh, if a revolution in the US of an Ass were to happen, I assume it would be international in the western side of the atlantic ocean. I can't imagine a ruling class like milei's in argentina not imploding if the US imperialist version suddenly collapses.
So the final entrenchment of reaction will be Europe, I presume.
>>2948829I think what he means is that it probably won't happen in our lifetime. It could go either way: humanity could continue down a path of conflict and ultimately destroy itself, or people could put aside their differences and unite for the common good. The latter is what this generation should be striving for.
>>2948825Sure, but is the DSA or any other Left org ever going to have a chance at rivaling the Dems and Repubs at gaining political power? Not on their own they can't, so the only realistic option is to take control of the party from within. The DSA is steadily winning more and more seats.
>>2948681
>the proletariat does not take power by flipping seats. it takes power by destroying the state and the wage relation.
… and this'll happen any second now?
>>2948834>So the final entrenchment of reaction will be Europe, I presume.yeah and india, both of whom are getting crushed between american and chinese competition

>>2948803Sorry buddy but posting gore pictures or screaming about treatlers won't fix your shitty relationship with your parents.
>>2948860Did Pinochet have mass support? No. He just had the support of the bourgeoisie and American MIC.
So dems are just 3 governors short of having 2/3 of states. missing less than 20 seats shy of a super majority. Another Alaska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Kansas and two Florida seats are up.
If dems ran as good as this time and put forth a populist message then AOC could sweep with a 2/3 majority.
>>2948865Pinochet had the support of the military junta and he certainly had the support of a percentage of the general populace besides, mostly estimated to be around 40%. That's more than enough, reminder the Soviets only had 25% support and they managed to take complete control of the government.

>>2948891probably not, or at the very least there will be a lot of very hard lessons painfully learned. we are starting from basically 0, disconnected from every older generation of american communists who were killed, imprisoned, or became apathetic or traitorous. there is development in US socialism, the difference in the priorities and direction i see in organizing on the ground have improved substantially over the last decade between the bernie influx, the height of left-lib identity politics ~2019ish and today, there has been significant maturing.
but we are still very weak & disorganized by any honest assessment. organization and consciousness are improving but we are still far from being in a position where breaks in the status quo could be meaningfully leveraged.

UH OHGina Hinojosa names Texas governor transition team, including anti-voucher Republicanhttps://www.houstonchronicle.com/politics/texas/article/gina-hinojosa-transition-team-22512969.php<Gov.-elect Gina Hinojosa on Thursday announced leaders of her transition team, including a rural Republican whom Gov. Greg Abbott had worked to oust for opposing school vouchers.<“We are forging a new way forward,” Hinojosa said. “People are tired of the divisions, of the fighting, tired of the culture wars. This is a time to come together in a way that is about just delivering for the people of Texas.”<Hinojosa said former state Rep. Ernest Bailes was a close ally in “delivering for our public schools” during his time in the House. Bailes was one of two dozen Republican House members who helped block Abbott’s push in 2023 to pass vouchers, warning they could threaten the financial future of their local school systems. Several of them, including Bailes, lost their GOP primaries the next year to Abbott-endorsed opponents. The voucher program passed in 2025.<The transition team will lay out the path to the first transfer of power in Texas in 12 years — and the first to a Democrat in three decades. It also includes Tamala Barksdale, a former Austin school trustee who served alongside Hinojosa on the school board before she became a state representative; Joe Madden, a former chief of staff to Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and Ryan Pollock, who heads the Texas Building Trades Council<The team picks showed her commitment to reaching across the aisle and her focus on education and economic issues, Hinojosa said.<“We will have a bipartisan transition, and we will have a bipartisan administration and government in Texas,” Hinojosa said.Bailes said he believed the administration would “put partisanship aside.”
<“I have faith that we will be able to do good things for the state of Texas,” he said. “We will work together for what is best for the kids of the state of Texas. We will be able to take care of education, and we will support and listen to the people.”<Hinojosa made the announcement at a packed press conference at the University of Texas at Austin. It was her first public appearance since her historic upset victory over Gov. Greg Abbott, who has held the governor’s mansion since 2015. No Democrat has held the office since Ann Richards left it in 1995.<Hinojosa said Abbott had committed to assisting in a smooth transition. She said she had not spoken to the governor since election night, but their teams were in communication. Abbott has kept a low profile since conceding the race Tuesday night. <“We are both committed to ensuring there is a smooth transition so that the people of Texas are taken care of,” she said.Hinojosa said the announcement was the first of “waves” to come.
<“Please understand, this is a transition for the whole state of Texas, and as such, we will have many opportunities for people to weigh in with their ideas,” she said.<Barksdale served as an Austin school board member from 2010 to 2015, but has not been in office since. Barksdale said she and Hinojosa were allies on the board and “worked together to cut the tax rate, balance the budget, meet state accountability standards and protect schools.” Hinojosa was first elected to the board in 2012, and joined the Legislature in 2017. <Madden is a Houston-based consultant who has worked for multiple Harris County commissioners, including Leslie Briones and Rodney Ellis. He also previously worked for Garnet Coleman. Madden helped Hidalgo transition into office in 2019 and then served as her chief of staff. He also served as an adviser to Harris County Commission Rodney Ellis. <Pollock leads a trade council that represents dozens of unions across the state. Hinojosa said his involvement “demonstrates my commitment to putting money in the pocket of Texans, making sure that we have opportunities for good jobs and recruitment for hardworking Texans.” <Bailes was a vocal leader among two dozen House Republicans from rural districts who helped defeat Abbott’s initial push to pass a voucher program three years ago. The governor spent the next year campaigning against 18 of them, putting millions behind GOP primary challengers in an unprecedented drive against members of his own party. Eleven of those members, including Bailes, lost their seats and the House passed the voucher program last year. <Bailes said in a 2024 interview with Hearst Newspapers that he tried to explain to Abbott at the time that he opposed the program because he thought it would hurt schools in his district and he believed most voters there agreed with him. <“This job should be representing the district you are sent to represent,” Bailes said. “And the governor of the state of Texas plainly said, ‘That’s not your job.’”<He said he believed the governor’s involvement tipped the scales against him.<“He has automatic credibility with his office, and he capitalized on that from a political standpoint to win an election — an election which he really should have had nothing to do with,” Bailes said at the time. >>2948786You can only win the Iran war by surrendering.

I was reading TrueAnon subreddit posters having crashouts (I know make fun of me for reading that) and it didn't seem like there was any thought going into it. They're just mad people voted. I'm not saying to actually vote for the Dems or celebrate it, you just do what you gotta do (or don't), but there was just no analysis of what this means for the potential future of capitalist politics as it is. Like stuff is happening, it's not socialism but it's still stuff that's going on. I'm just going to go listen to Cutrone talk about it.
>>2949126I see a lot of neo liberals doing “we won, time to dunk on the people who say you cannot vote fascism away,” and in response I see the far left moving the goalposts for what fascism means, and claiming “well these pro Gaza politicians are fascists, because they are pro America.” The aggressive anti DSA people posting here definitely act like ziggers
>>2949116>Well, this just gives the DSA more chances to take over the Democrats which should always be the goal for leftists.Brother, the DSA indirectly endorses Hakeem through "their" congresspeople (and Mamdani) who themselves either endorse or refuse to substantively oppose him (asking for "concessions").
The DSA is unwilling to break from Democrats despite the Gaa genocide. Despite literally colonizing Venezuela and running a tally of probably dozens of millions dead and many more displaced if we count their less proven activities in Africa's wars and enforcement of brrtal neoliberalism globe-wide.
They won't even break with Dems when most of them including the "progressives" explicitly approve of the Trump admin genocidal blockade of Cuba. There is nothing the Dems can do that will cause the DSA to put their foot down and wield any power against them. Much less some symbolic thing like speaker(or committee, for that matter) appointments.
In fact, this supposed "victory" will only further expose the "progressives" and the so called demsocs, because they won't have the votes to actually gatekeep Dem policy. At a time where the Dems have literally no reason to give the workers anything, because Trump and MAGA are going away in 2028 no matter what the Dems do.
So the "DSA people" could spend their terms being a wrecker among the Dems, but instead they will go along with everything and whine that actually, being an average Demcorat ghoul is ultimately furthering socialism because it's furthering THEIR CAREERS as "entryist operatives on the inside" or some shit.

I really think it's funny that the moment the dems sweeped Jeffries and Schumer took claim over the entire democratic party before they were even reelected. They were even asked "other people newly elected in the party really don't like either of you" and they brushed it off or ignored it. They had to make sure the piggy overlords know their controlled opposition is under their complete control. I just really find it funny.
>>2948989When the hell did I become some feudal lord?
>>2949126There was some old white lady at the polling place one of my coworkers went to protesting… people voting? Like she was yelling at people shit like "WHY ARE YOU ALL HERE?!" and "ITS A LOVELY DAY OUT, YOU SHOULD GO HOME" and while its obvious she was some MAGA type trying to depress turnout in her own weird way, there's just something deeply hilarious about the situation.
I'm going to piss even more people on here off, but it's been how many fucking
years of the same old "anti revisionists" talking about their fantasies of blowing up factories and murdering their enemies, and I'm just going to be frank and say there's something deeply pathetic about it. Like by the standards and practices the DSA has set for themselves, they're succeeding. By the standards and practices these "anti-revisionist" orgs set, they're utterly failing to live up to their own expectations.
Felix never blew up a factory and he's too pussy to try to kill me. Absolutely
zero people who post on leftypol saying "DO DA REVOLUTION NOOOOOOOOW" are part of armed cadres actually putting their lives on the line. Perhaps most noxious is that these groups are totally impotent. Like correct me if I'm wrong, but what ability have any of these types shown to influence politics on even a local level?
All it comes across as is subculture bickering. Beneath all the frantic panicking about voting is some fervent belief that voting signals you're part of the out group, it's "cringe" or "embarrassing" and it seems particularly absurd given how many groups struggled for the right to vote to dismiss it now. I don't think this is Socialism, or even actual politics, I think its nihilism. There is nothing worthy of more disdain than the appearance of falling for some naive sentimentality for certain groups, and voting is representative of a "buy in" to the system for them.
And what's even more pathetic is all these groups indirectly reveal their own political castration when they whine and seethe about people voting. No amount of "critique" from "the anti-revisionist left" has slowed down the DSA's growth or political influence. Zero. Zilch. But its always tacitly revealed that "well we can't do a revolution because people listen to THEM instead of US!" All the old slogans and revolutionaries that are invoked by the people viscerally mad over this function the same as invoking the divine right of kings. It's not any logical argument, it's just "obey the totems of power" which don't possess real power in themselves.
And you'd think if the issue was merely "anti-revisionism" than after saying "Both sides are the same" for the millionth fucking time (to the point that even normie libs are mocking the sentiment now) you'd see some group, whether PSL, RCP, or Socialist Alternative, actually achieve some national political relevance.
Just some scattered thoughts before I get off my lunch break.

>>2949155>if you read adam smith, he'll tell you that there's no market without moralsAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA bro managed to be revisionist about adam fucking smith. like most scheming lying bourgeois politicians he is counting on the anti intellectualism, illiteracy, and PROUD stupidity of the american public.
Let's see what adam smith has to say:
<People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.
<As soon as the land of any country has all become private property, the landlords, like all other men, love to reap where they never sowed, and demand a rent even for its natural produce.
<We rarely hear, it has been said, of the combinations of masters, though frequently of those of workmen. But whoever imagines, upon this account, that masters rarely combine, is as ignorant of the world as of the subject. Masters are always and everywhere in a sort of tacit, but constant and uniform, combination, not to raise the wages of labour above their actual rate. To violate this combination is everywhere a most unpopular action, and a sort of reproach to a master among his neighbours and equals. We seldom, indeed, hear of this combination, because it is the usual, and, one may say, the natural state of things, which nobody ever hears of. Masters, too, sometimes enter into particular combinations to sink the wages of labour even below this rate. These are always conducted with the utmost silence and secrecy till the moment of execution; and when the workmen yield, as they sometimes do without resistance, though severely felt by them, they are never heard of by other people. Such combinations, however, are frequently resisted by a contrary defensive combination of the workmen, who sometimes, too, without any provocation of this kind, combine, of their own accord, to raise the price of their labour.
< It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity, but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities, but of their advantages. Nobody but a beggar chooses to depend chiefly upon the benevolence of his fellow-citizens. Even a beggar does not depend upon it entirely.
<A landlord, a farmer, a master manufacturer, or merchant, though they did not employ a single workman, could generally live a year or two upon the stocks, which they have already acquired. Many workmen could not subsist a week, few could subsist a month, and scarce any a year, without employment. In the long run, the workman may be as necessary to his master as his master is to him; but the necessity is not so immediate.
<The interest of the dealers, however, in any particular branch of trade or manufactures, is always in some respects different from, and even opposite to, that of the public. To widen the market, and to narrow the competition, is always the interest of the dealers […] The proposal of any new law or regulation of commerce which comes from this order, ought always to be listened to with great precaution, and ought never to be adopted till after having been long and carefully examined, not only with the most scrupulous, but with the most suspicious attention. It comes from an order of men, whose interest is never exactly the same with that of the public, who have generally an interest to deceive and even to oppress the public, and who accordingly have, upon many occasions, both deceived and oppressed it.
<Civil government, so far as it is instituted for the security of property, is, in reality, instituted for the defence of the rich against the poor, or of those who have some property against those who have none at all. Meanwhile, the idiotic phrase "there's no market without morals" or anything approximating it appears nowhere in
Wealth of Nations >>2949135>part of armed cadres actually putting their lives on the line. Whilst I've never been a member of a communist party (or any party), I have put my life on the line for both myself and others. And I share the sentiment.
I won't whine about people voting, because most either have too much to lose, or they lack the attitude to do anything illegal anyway. And part of being "mature" and not being a frothing juvenile terminally online ideologue is realizing this.
Some of us have kids, SOs, jobs, rent we have to pay and so on. And the circumstances generally aren't bad enough to risk all that.
What pisses me of is "anti-revisionists" by and large do… nothing. They're neither willing to test their mass appeal by running in elections, nor willing to put their lives on the line for what they believe and lead by example. But they do expect others to selflessly sacrifice themselves for their pure ideals. (just blow up a federal building bro!)
Besides, let's say we
were to do this. If we get caught in or after the act, would they be willing to risk
their lives to save us and bust us out of prison? No. They'll just post memes about it on xitter. Pat themselves on the back for not being "libs". And then they'll forget and let us rot.

Underlying the international eruption of mass protests is the transformation of the production process itself into a single, globally integrated system. Peter Dicken, whose Global Shift is the standard academic treatment of the geography of the world economy, demonstrates that what has emerged is a network of production chains coordinated by transnational corporations, in which a large and growing share of world trade consists of components and intermediate goods moving between stages of a single process.
Trade between national economies, each producing finished goods, has been superseded by the organization of production across borders. The vehicle assembled in Michigan contains semiconductors fabricated in Taiwan on Dutch lithography machines, wiring harnesses from Ciudad Juárez, rare earths refined in China, software written in Bangalore, and steel from Brazilian and Australian ore. The label of origin has become a fiction. The workers in Guangdong, in Stuttgart, in São Paulo and in Detroit labor at different stations of one and the same process.
The consequence has been the creation of the largest working class in human history. The global labor force has roughly doubled since 1980, to some 3.7 billion by the estimate of the International Labour Organization. Hundreds of millions were uprooted from the countryside of China, India, Latin America and Africa and drawn into the circuits of global production; for the first time in history a majority of humanity lives in urban areas. Occupations that a generation ago were regarded as lying outside the working class—physicians, engineers, university teachers, programmers—have been proletarianized.
The immense growth of the working class over the last four decades decisively refutes what has been an essential claim of anti-Marxist social and political theory for at least that long: that the identification of the proletariat as the decisive revolutionary force in capitalist society, the “gravedigger” of the profit system, was wrong and irrelevant from the standpoint of political strategy.

>>2949135Some it might be things not going according to their own formula, instead history is playing out in an ironic way as it usually does. I don't actually know what any of these people are really thinking, but at least some people seemed to believe that Trump was supposed to do stuff that would then (through some cosmic historical process) accelerate things into some fantasy (?). It could be collapse, civil war, MAGA communism, idk. But the actual end point of MAGA is the retrvn of the Democrats in the Great Democratic Counter-Revolution which has its battle cry of "we're all going to be nice to each other now." And that's gay. Erp. So the fantasy is just going kablooey. The eschaton is not going to be immanentized. Or you can just flip the script and say MAGA is going to do a civil war now like every cult leader / grifter says when events prove them wrong.
Dugin is all saying this, the Dems will seek retribution, when their politicians are explicitly saying they're not going to do that. They're not going to impeach Trump. Then the irony is that these Democrats have basically co-opted the old MAGA platform of being capitalist, but stopping the war, focusing on cost of living, "putting America first," and changing our relations with Israel but not too much. And people can complain all they want about the DSA going along with this, and that's whatever, but the more traumatic thing, which they're experiencing, is that the actual historical throughline here never created the conditions for the DSA to do anthing else. Otherwise it probably would've done something else? The US military has the power, through only a few dozens of people and personnel to exterminate life on this Earth. Let us have no illusions about it. This is a completely different world than 1917 or 1895 or 1848..
>Let us have no illusions about it: a real victory of insurrection over the military in street fighting, a victory as between two armies, is one of the rarest exceptions.
> And the insurgents counted on it just as rarely.
>For them it was solely a question of making the troops yield to moral influences which, in a fight between the armies of two warring countries, do not come into play at all or do so to a much smaller extent.
>If they succeed in this, the troops fail to respond, or the commanding officers lose their heads, and the insurrection wins.
< If they do not succeed in this, then, even where the military are in the minority, the superiority of better equipment and training, of uniform leadership, of the planned employment of the military forces and of discipline makes itself felt.
>>2949183she endorsed jeffries for speaker. you said that was a lie. i then gave you proof. now you are lusting to distract from that. i think i hate you.
>>2949187What a compelling counterargument. Truly you have proved your intellectual superiority.
>>2949155he's going to permalib the zoomies and turn them against socialism

(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST) >>2949193Not even the most milquetoast normie wants Jeffries around anymore. Him and Schumer really fueled themselves by being little limp wristted bitches who let Donny do whatever he wanted
>>2949186Go ahead and hate me that only turns me on even more
>>2949197they're going to replace schumer but keep jeffries
then it's back to brunch
I'm usually pretty libertine about what types of people I think we should allow on this board, but can we ban anybody who shills for AOC. She voted to break the rail strike. She is objectively a scab and the worst sort of careerist scumbag. If we lived in a civilized society she'd be sentenced to summary execution.
>>2949197they applied the perfect strategy of giving president trump the rope he needed to overreach and hang himself. now that their plan has come to fruition they have a free hand to institute cautious common sense reforms that will get things done, while appealing to moderate voters and disaffected republicans. this will bring about real incremental change while not alienating americans by being too far left.
>>2949199Doubt. People actually know who he is and the normies want Donny and his people held accountable. Jeffries is obviously not interested in that. They would normally be able to push it under the rug but the Dems are retarded if they think Donny will go down quietly and not try some wild shit like another Jan 6. I just hope the DSA people play their cards right becuase if Jeffries gets to do whatever he wants again they will lose all the gains they made in the last couple of years.
>>2949202You're doing a bit but this is only like half a step away from how the DSAtards on here actually think. It's always "we have to be pragmatic" and "at least this moves us in the right direction" and "you have to consider the optics" in order to justify the most brazen, disgusting, spineless, cowardly betrayals imaginable.
>>2949204>>2949204What fucking bit? Last I checked the DSA guys are the only ones holding any political power while you're here jerking yourself off
>>2949203The House Dems think (probably correctly) that they miscalculated with impeaching Trump twice during Trump 1 since they didn't have votes in the Senate to remove him. They still don't, they need 67. What they're going to do is leave Trump there as a lame duck while dragging lower-level admin officials in front of Congress and badgering them with subpoenas over various crazy / corrupt (but also very sloppy) schemes these people having pulling over the past two years. Then they're going to bundle it all up in a package and cram it up Vance's ass when he runs for president in '28. I'm just saying that's the game plan.
>>2949205Getting elected as a Democrat is not an achievement. It's a public humiliation and naked display of soulless political opportunism. Again, if we lived in a civilized society, they'd all be shot.
>>2949203maybe they do maybe they don't. the USA people are bovine. once they've voted politics goes back into the background until its time to vote again. they have no civil mechanism for enforcing their will and the USA people are repelled by the idea of politics outside of official USA government institutions
I'm already tired the lib wishcasting about their new 1000 year brunchreich
>>2949207Getting elected at all IS an achievement you idealistic fucking moron. Mandani single handedly opened up the windows for leftist politics in the US, and he did that by becoming fucking NYC mayor. But sure, keep writing about how'd you get him and AOC shot you little idiot
>>2949210> Mandani single handedly opened up the windows for leftist politicshaha thats great. thats good
>>2949135How do you think electing Democrats is going to lead to communism? Just explain to me in your head how you even attempt to reconcile your pragmatic liberal politics with your supposed belief in a communist society. FDR had an overwhelming national Democratic mandate that had never been seen before and will never be seen again and he did not come anywhere near instituting communism. In fact, he quite viciously and ferociously opposed any movement toward anything resembling communism, including by using the military to break strikes and taking advantage of his sway over the politically bankrupt CIO leadership to enforce no-strike pledges during the war.
>>2949210>>2949211This is what redditoids actually believe
(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST) >>2949210>Getting elected at all IS an achievement you idealistic fucking moron. It literally isn't. Why should I care if a "socialist" gets elected if his election brings no material change to anyone's life? What has been accomplished other than securing that "socialist" individual fame and political connections? How has the socialist movement been aided? How have the workers of New York been aided? What, objectively, about the political and economic landscape of the United States has been altered by Mamdani's election?
