>>11075The politics of Rome is something i don’t really understand. He used to make stuff like Æsthetik der Herrschaftsfreiheit but then changed to some defend Europe shit.
I too like death in June. This whole neo-Volk/ martial industrial thing is a part of nazi aesthetics that kind of appeals to me. It sounds like the echos in the ruins of a long lost empire. Just hope it never returns ^^
>>16550I don't know enough about him to know if this is right (mostly because I find neofolk outside of Di6/C93 to be quite boring) but didn't he go through the anarchist to fascist meme but for real?
I feel the same way about Death in June, at least before he started making the same album but crappier and more derivative each time. When I listen it almost makes me forget how rightoids actually are and the end result of their beliefs because sort of like you said his albums capture that yearning for a lost age and way of life well. I remember during the first months of COVID which was my last year of high school when we locked down I would just sit in my room listening to But, What Ends? and dooming. It really fit things at the time
>>16550I really fucking wish there were more neofolk and adjacent types of music made by leftists or even just apolitical people rather than the scene being 98% unironic nazis
>>16726Look up "leftfolk" on Bandcamp and IG. Tons of communist, anarchist, socialist, revolutionary neofolk being made, and it's only grown in recent years. I can't say the quality is always consistent, but there are some standout leftist neofolk artists to be found.
