I had a dream in third person. I was researching fascism, when it occurred to me, I never knew what the exactly the fasci (yes fasci not fasces) was and what is was for. So I went to Wikipedia, looked up fasci, and learned that it wasn't a weapon but a Roman ceremonial-olympic sport thing. The dream then became a screen recording of the Wikipedia page.
The fasci was made by taking a halberd-hammer thing and surrounding the staff with 5 or 6 pieces of wood, almost the same length as the staff, leaving a bit sticking out for both ends. Then, another layer of of wood 12 or 13 sticks are added and securing the bundle with a specific material. (The numbers are important but I can't remember what they actually were and I can't remember what the specific material was.) The thing about the fasci was that is was long, I think longer than a telephone pole. The sport involved participants standing the fasci upright, with the halberd facing forward and the hammer facing the athlete. The athlete would then step back and let it fall. The fasci would fall according to the "qualification" (For a lack of better words, the connotation of the "word" (When reading in dreams, I don't see comprehensible writing, I just get the feeling of a word.) is more mystical. Kind of like a chosen one but not destined one) of the athlete. If the athlete was qualified, the fasci would fall forward and cut a "thing of wood." (I don't know what that was really.) If the athlete was unqualified, the fasci would fall back, and the hammer would smash the athlete into a puddle. The Wikipage had three images in the margin. For some reason, it was in that medieval European art style and the athletes looked like peasants. The first one was a long image with the athlete standing up the fasci. The second one was a wide image and had the athlete qualify. It showed the fasci fall forward and cut the "thing of wood." (Not at all sure what that was) The third one was also a wide image. It depicted an unqualified athlete. The hammer of the fasci was laying in a puddle of blood. No pulp. Somehow, the Medieval artist were able to capture the motion in their image, and that, combined with all I found out, made me laugh IRL, while asleep. The dream then returned to thrid person, focusing on my face. My expression was that of a person who wouldn't mind learning more about this but was satisfied with what I had learned. FIN~

In a seperate unrelated dream weeks afterwards i was running to an airport gate. as i ran further down the airport terminal hallway the floor started pitching down. first slowly.then very steeply. all of a sudden it was like i was skiing down the bland grey carpet of the terminals hallway. the wideness of the hallway was narrowing to a definite point in the distance. i couldnt see what was there but then i noticed it. it was a red door.
