I’m the autistic guy who lives with his parents and had a crush on a cute girl in my college theatre class from the last thread. I haven’t posted about it in over month, but unfortunately I was not paired with her in the last scene, and contrary to my expectations the crush has intensified even more, as I am still extremely attracted to her and I am still trying to make her want to talk to me. I still find a way to sit next to her in almost every class, I always say hi and bye, and I try to make small talk, but she usually dose not say much (If she responds with even a few words it’s a big feat, though to be fair she dose not talk that much to anyone else either) and just stares at her phone. I am still looking at her picture every night, telling her goodnight and that I love her, and kissing her picture, which I know is super creepy but it helps me cope with my loneliness, though sadly I am now often crying when I do it.
Tomorrow is the last day of the theatre class and though I am not doing my final scene with her, I really want to say something nice to her that will possibly get her attention and make her say something nice to me without creeping her out and without me completely embarrassing myself (I obviously don’t want to cry in the class). I know it won’t be popular to say on Leftypol, but once you get deep into Marxism, history and politics both become really depressing/demoralizing and it can really damage your mental health to the point that you have to give it a break sometimes.
If I was better at the guitar I would try to join some small band/music club, but I am still very amateur at it, though I am going to take some lessons over the summer to get better so maybe that will change. Look, I am sure I am doing everything wrong and I know it is extremely unlikely that she will ever like me, let alone have a relationship with me but I feel their is nothing to lose by trying to make a few more attempts to get something to work because of how much I have emotionally invested into it (ie. “sunk-cost fallacy”).
