sometimes that I designed and one of the ideas I had was for this grasshopper based superhero at first I kind of imagined him as a villain than sometimes
a superhero I had this video game where you could play as a ninja character in this high-tech suit and I loved sneaking and jumping around doing crazy jump flips
so I would imagine for hours as this character who was incredibly agile and could jump long distances and glide in the sky across buildings during bright sunny days

well I was kind of excited about this new idea I had I have decided that most of the music I will make will be dance-able I think that's how you make popular music, just make music that people can party and dance to but it won't be obvious I won't just try to be some type of poser funky white guy
I guess teh Beatles and things like that are my biggest inspiration because people danced to the Beatles old time rock n roll but I won't be really obvious and make it sound too old time rock n roll either

have been thinking a lot about my grasshopper themed character again I just keep imagining him over and over because I really want to get some basic ideas down but I am stuck I really want the character and world to be over the top compared to my other characters I don't even know where to start it's really a case where I have to chip away at a block of clay or stone I have distant threads of ideas that I can follow but it's not substantial for sure
I've never wanted anything so badly in my life
I am kind of inspired by japanese sentai a little bit it ties into wanting to go over the top but I realized I think spider-man is sort of over the top much of the time
except sometimes they go grounded street level I read some of ultimate spider-man it was quite grounded street level it doesn't go detailed into the idea of crime
batman or something but I guess I am pretty sure spider-man's villains all have something to do with marxism half the time but I already have
planned to explore all those themes already basically all my characters are a little like peter parker to an extent I guess
but I don't want to copy spider-man for sure it's just all the main super heroes it's obvious to me what they are about but spider-man I just don't know
is he really just basically an everyman type figure? that's the basis of the character?
Spider-Man is built on several core philosophical, thematic, and symbolic concepts that have kept the character relevant for over 60 years. The character, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, focuses on themes of personal responsibility, the balance of power, and relatability.Core Themes and Concepts"With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility": This is the foundational moral principle of Spider-Man, emphasizing that abilities (power) create a moral obligation (responsibility) to act, often at personal cost.Relatability and Humanity: Peter Parker is designed as an "everyman" or "relatable" hero who struggles with everyday problems—finances, school, romantic relationships, and taking care of his aunt—despite his superhero status.Identity and Sacrifice: The "mask" symbolizes that anyone can be a hero, but it also forces Peter to sacrifice his personal happiness to protect others. The "Friendly Neighborhood" Hero: Unlike cosmic-level heroes, Spider-Man traditionally operates on a street-level, focusing on protecting his community in New York City.Scientific Origin vs. Totem Mysticism: While rooted in science (radioactive spider bite), the lore has expanded to include the "spider-totem" concept—a mystical connection linking different spider-powered individuals across the multiverse.Symbolism and ArchetypesThe Mask as an Equalizer: The mask allows him to represent various identities, making him a "totem" for diverse cultural identities and fostering themes of representation, class equality, and social justice. The Outsider: Peter Parker is often a social outcast, utilizing his wit and humor to hide his insecurities and his scientific genius to create his tools (web-shooters).
Super Sentai themes center on teams of color-coded heroes battling evil using teamwork, specialized abilities, and giant mecha. Recurring motifs include animals, vehicles, ninjas, dinosaurs, and elements, often incorporating martial arts, space exploration, and technology to fight specialized threats.Key themes and motifs in the Sentai genre include:Creature/Animal Motifs: Dinosaurs (Zyuranger), insects (King-Ohger), birds, felines, and mythical beasts.Vehicles & Technology: Cars, trains, construction vehicles, and high-tech "digital" teams.Action & Role-Based: Specialized teams like Ninjas, Samurai, Police, Rescue forces, Pirates, and Spies.Elements & Fantasy: Magic, space, time travel, and elemental forces (fire, light, water, darkness).Modern/Creative Motifs: Sports, music, and digital worlds (VR/internet).Core, consistent tropes across all themes involve the transformation (Henshin) sequence and the summoning of giant robots to fight large monsters. What are interesting themes or motifs that super sentai should explore?Sep 8, 2019 — There are many interesting themes and motifs that Super Sentai could explore: * Music A rock band-themed or music-themed Super…RedditSentai Themes? : r/supersentai - RedditJan 7, 2021 — * Insect theme. * Military theme. * Martial Arts theme. * Egyptian theme. * Space Cowboys. * RPG theme. * Firefighter theme. * Con…Reddit·r/supersentaiWhat are some Sentai motifs/themes that were only used once? …May 10, 2022 — There are so many good ideas for it. honestly it would be really funny for me to write an everyman I really am hesitant and do not want to sound arrogant at all but I think an everyman
would be morally ambiguous and kind of out of touch or not very aware also he would likely be a bit of a consumer drone or something so yeah
it would be fun writing an everyman they say peter is a everyman but really? only a little bit he's like slightly average but yet he's very good within a spectrum of normal yet he's a genius
it's just I guess that's why in spider-man the everyman would be morally ambiguous which is why they make such a big deal about responsibility
cuz you know the everyman sure struggle with that lol like remember kids RESPONSIBILITY LOL lawl seriously lawl UGH
my everyman would be terrible I don't know if people would respond or like it very much but it would give me freedom to air out my worst thoughts
LOL
Basically it would almost be like Homer Simpson as a superhero which is why I should almost make him like Bart or Lisa instead I think? I don't even know just LOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!
EVERYMAN SURE LOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!
THE EVERYMAN IS HERE TO SAVE THE DAY
HAD TO HAVE HIS UNCLE GUNNED DOWN IN FRONT OF HIM TO DEVELOP ANY MORALS WHATSOEVER
I just have no inspiration for this character exactly nothing has quite struck or hit me yet I have inspiration for everything else but not exactly this for some reason
UGH
I don't know why it's making me kind of disheartened but the idea of using Bart Simpson as a bases for his characterization is good
I think Bart Simpson is an everyman in a lot of ways too BUT BUT I just realized I could make him like Lisa Simpson and I think make it so that
He has struggles fitting in with the everyman maybe a little bit? or something? but I hate it when often writers go too far into the intelligent nerd
trope archetype because it just seems really arrogant to me and I end up not being able to stand most of those characters very much
If I made an everyman he wouldn't be a genius at all or anything I think I would make it so that he has ADHD and maybe dyslexia my idea
is that he's intelligent but he has a learning block early in life and maybe minor psychological issues but he outgrows it and learns he is good at strategizing or something but oh
He's not good at sports for sure he was just really average for most of his early life due to his learning block (real thing) but starts to come into himself
I guess it would be like he would be a really unremarkable average kind of apathetic and despondent guy (but not to an extreme extent) he wouldn't be very privileged or white collar as a result
I think I would show him going to the mall all the time to hang out or something it would show him yearning to be more successful in life and have more money
it would be a big part of the character
>>780543Love that he's in an action pose with his mouth closed and speaking an entire monologue
and I think because he's "an everyman" or sort of "average" I think the sanctity of his soul would be really in jeopardy a lot and he would have to constantly
have to fight to save himself from being taken or consumed by evil or hell, he would really struggle with not being evil like it would be a major issue
I think people would like that maybe like it wouldn't literally be hell for sure I am not really sure how I would portray or show that but his soul would always hang in the balance
but of course like I said I wouldn't approach it from an overly christian perspective I am not sure how I would do it there would just be these great forces of evil that want to take his soul or something
like a part of the plot is that his soul would be in jeopardy all the time
While not an exact copy, Jaime Reyes (Blue Beetle) is often considered DC's equivalent to Spider-Man due to his status as a relatable, teenage superhero balancing high school life with immense power. Both characters featurebug-themed, sentient suits, often struggle with their responsibilities, and possess a youthful energy, though Blue Beetle's tech is more alien and armored. This video compares the abilities and strengths of Blue Beetle and Spider-Man:4mSpider-Man VS Blue Beetle - Who Will Win? | MCU vs DCUDanCoYouTube• Aug 24, 2023Key similarities and differences include:The "Everyman" Theme: Like Peter Parker, Jaime Reyes is a relatable teenager often dealing with everyday life, school, and family alongside his superhero responsibilities.Suit/Powers: Jaime’s scarab suit acts more like a sentient, alien symbiote (similar to Venom) or Iron Man-style armor, whereas Spider-Man relies on superhuman speed, strength, and agility.
I think with Blue Beetle and because of this spider-man as well I think their conception of an "everyman" is like someone who's slightly exceptional or something
basically it seems like they don't really know what average is for sure
I think with the idea of the everyman with DC and Marvel as well
I think it's their attempt at chipping away at the status quo but only slightly it's their attempt to make believable relatable characters but that's still
with a big grain of salt because I believe they are exceptional a little bit but they're not as "perfect" or exceptional" as like fucking most average superheroes
Like a lot of superheroes are rich or successful or paradigms of traditional masculinity and invulnerability where as blue beetle and spiderman are like "exceptional" average characters like the best version of an everyman
but fuck talk about chipping away at the status quo I want like a character with real every day struggles that are not really shown very often in the media through a positive light at all not just in a stereotypical one dimensional manner
The average person in 2026 is likely a 30-to-40-year-old resident of Asia (specifically China or India), identified as female (50.4% of the population). Demographically, this individual is likely to be employed in the service sector, with a routine that includes roughly 7-8 hours of sleep and 10 hours of sitting.Key Characteristics of the "Average" IndividualDemographics: While often associated with a 28-year-old Han Chinese man in some statistical models, the global average tilts toward a female in Asia.Daily Routine: A typical day involves significant sedentary time (10.4 hours), about 7.7 hours of sleep, and roughly 1.3 hours of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity.Personality & Mindset: Studies suggest a personality type often characterized by high neuroticism and extraversion, while being lower in openness. They may not perceive themselves as "average," as people tend to rate their abilities above average.Lifestyle: Many live within a "small, safe world," with routines often revolving around employment and, in some contexts, striving for, yet not always achieving, financial goals.Language & Religion: The most common languages spoken are Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, or English, with Christianity or Islam being the most common religions.

it appears that a lot of people think I deserve it for some reason but it doesn't really make that much sense at all but it's hard to believe
especially because they use their mental faculties to think that I deserve it so much and just the idea of having a bunch of people, randomly think that its best
or something is really terrible it's really hard to fight against a majority like that
but not only that I had this nightmare I dreamed I was a female again but this time I was a little girl but I was like a little retarded or stupid or something
and in my nightmare I just ran around the neighborhood all over and wherever I went people would put all these objects in their yards like elaborate set designs but they were kind of abstract and they were all really colorful and they would start
they would start painting them when I came around whenever I skipped or ran through their front yards they started painting their sets
but the thing is the paint was really smelly and toxic so it was almost making my stupidity or mental problems worse
I realize now this was a super abstract version of what I have basically been experiencing except I don't run through people's front yards but I don't know
maybe it just represents territory or something but I pretty much am having chemicals sprayed at me all the time even in my apartment and I have consciously
thought and been cognizant of this in my waking life but maybe I should worry even more about it it just feels like such an awful situation to be in it's like really bad
well it just makes me think I should do something more drastic am I really as okay as I thought I was? am I being made that much more stupid all the time?
I don't know what to do I need some type of answer
I guess I just wonder how far it goes that people think I deserve it whether it's this elaborate ploy and a really great deal of people do
it feels like I am facing off against this giant monster it's so huge and I almost stand no chance
thought of an idea for a Final Fantasy like story though not really a major idea but I thought of a theme since all the games start primarily form basic themes
I have a theme I could use to inspire a whole story but I will use it to inspire multiple stories of different varieties I could just write down all the ideas
I have that are inspired by these basic themes
it's really hard to come up with ideas for something resembling an FF game though lawl
ugh yawn
so like I realized I could also make a FF about the third world and neoliberalism and the dirty 30s but I think it would probably be more loosely based on the 40s sort of but than that's basically what FF7 is about I guess
FF7 thinks it's good maybe? I am not entirely sure but I guess it doesn't really explore the concepts enough like it goes into surprising detail and yes the third world which is basically represented as the "slums" and such especially they don't actually bother to explain
that the 3rd world probably thinks it's good to be like that like it well seems like now that the inequality they have is mostly their own doing
I also can't help but think FF13 was the most neoliberal FF I think with FF7 they just consider themselves liberal but it's not actually for sure (but it's also largely due to global warming that's their made precedent I guess)
but I realized that in that I was uncertain about the whole thing surrounding the booms and busts the recessions are basically just the world slowly becoming like the 3rd word in general
the booms are like kind of fascist almost they're too homogenized and collectivist (in a bad way) it's some weird thing in general
thus I realized instead of the 1950s or the dirty 30s you should probably understand or be for something like the 1940s in a sense
because it turned into a war in the 1940s I guess but I don't know if you have to show that you are for any one type of period in time exactly
I've noticed some people do that to an extent but I am not sure
like looking at FF7 what would looking at it as the design is based heavily on the 1930s kind of an changing it into the 1940s instead? also there is also the victorian era which is used a lot I guess but I dunno
understanding the Everyman is helping me understand how a lot of fictional characters are written the way they are it's hilarious
if I make this character an everyman I really have to try hard not to make him seem like an "anti-hero" he would almost come across like Tony Stark or Wolverine
but nonetheless I never thought I would have that much sympathy for an extrovert but there is one characterization idea I have I am not sure what I will use it for
but I was thinking I could use it instead for my grasshopper character a cheery upbeat sunny disposition that is also a little outgoing
it's not revolutionary but there are hardly any fictional characters actually written like that oddly enough so I would actually like writing a character like that
I guess music comes naturally to me a bit
there was this guy I used to live with who practiced singing and playing the piano like 10 hours a day and yet after like a year he did live performances and did a live "record" but yet he just didn't sound very professional especially at singing
it was weird yet when I record myself singing I practically sound official or professional or something I'm not exactly sure what it was I thought it was mostly practice but apparently not
I have better ears than him probably I don't know what it is I have more vice control or something I really enjoy singing though
ugh
I just remembered theoretically it seems like this is the most morally correct outlook the thing with the 1940s
even though the 19th century was fairy liberal I uh, have found that it doesn't make a difference I don't know the exact mechanisms at play that allowed for this
but in my own experiences being super old fashioned and going back to the past is a terrible idea because it is literally going back on progress and
AND IT WILL TURN INTO THE PAST, which just means it will be super repressive and people will develop those types of mentalities like they will actually become more prejudiced in some ways
like it's a terrible idea to go back in time too much
people will wear suits and ties all fucking time but whatever that is, that's not my ancestry for sure wearing a fucking suit all the time and will just be super god damn repressive but it's worse than that
it's kind of weird though I don't know why the future is often portrayed in such a shitty way
so the past is preferred than is that what it is? it's kind of weird you don't always need to re-create the past completely and as well
the future doesn't need to be this technological hellscape
it's like in the metropolis anime the whole city gets destroyed at the end it serves a point but still…I guess they have a hard time
fitting or making a story that fits the future if it doesn't follow that set path.
somebody should make a story about escaping the past and trying to go to the future and have it not be bad for once
like fuck this whole thing with the past the world can only repeat we can't have real change basically I really want real change I have to be like this madmen to defy the social order just to enact such a feat I guess but it's a worthy goal
is everything ok?
>>780871>it's kind of weird though I don't know why the future is often portrayed in such a shitty way
>so the past is preferred than is that what it is? it's kind of weird you don't always need to re-create the past completely and as wellIt's nostalgia. When people refer to the past, they're most likely talking about their childhood era. Or an idealized view of childhood past

Yes, the 1980s were considered an economic boom, but with a rocky start. After a severe recession in the early 1980s (1980–1982), the economy experienced a significant, sustained expansion. This period, often called "the long boom" or a [Reagan boom], saw rapid GDP growth, lower inflation, and a major shift in economic policy.Key aspects of the 1980s economy:Initial Recession & Recovery: The decade began with a deep recession that brought inflation down, which had peaked near 15% in 1980. By 1983, the economy had recovered and entered a period of rapid growth.Expansionary Policies: The "boom" was fueled by supply-side economics, featuring large tax cuts, deregulation, and a strong [Volcker-led Federal Reserve] that broke the back of inflation.Wall Street Growth: The 1980s saw a massive boom in the stock market and financial services, with many calling it the era where Wall Street took over the economy.Mixed Results: While GDP growth was high, the economic expansion also coincided with a significant rise in the national debt and increased income inequality. The boom wasn't universally felt, as it was accompanied by industrial layoffs and, by the end of the decade, a decline in oil prices which hit producing regions hard. What was the economy like in the 80s? : r/AskOldPeopleMay 16, 2025 — Gadshill. • 1y ago. thinking about Metropolis and how they build they giant huge towers and buildings isn't it like new york? and I think well if it's not sustainable
or necessary to build huge towers like that what would the laborers do? I don't necessarily want to take away their jobs but at the same time I don't really
want to condone that kind of thing because it is like the tower of babel all the time or they are like ancient pyramids that take forever to make
in the neo-liberal economy they basically just build condominiums all the time and then inflate the prices so the people who build them can't afford to live in them
and also though if they don't stop capitalism and take away jobs from workers like that everything will get worse because there will be more pressure to have some type of job
so people will turn into cannibal rats essentially psychiatry will get even worse doctors will get even worse they will be more pressure to have some random ass white collar job but not everyone will be good at them what they'll do basically is make it harder to even get or find work which they've already done
you can't really condone people going back to living like tribal people like Native Americans or something because they can't feasibly all hunt all the time so I don't know
who knows what fucked up shit the scientists will try to do
they will probably try to make some type of new eden maybe but it will probably be some perversion

literally can't associate with anything that is considered "working class" it is considered forbidden we are literally entering like the equivalent of "reservations" I guess that's what it would be like it would just literally be like indian reservations except for everybody
It's just I believe in a free and open society to some extent at least I think people should question and openly think about things like that is it really for the best is this really the only way? it's all just such bullshit though, like do people ever talk about these things at all even? I guess it's a lot like Goldstein's book in 1984 as well.
That's basically what I'm dealing with all the time. I just don't think we should all go back to wearing suits all the fucking time like a lot of people think. Suits, fucking suits. Can't we come up with anything better or more creative? why do you have to create a distinction and a clear divide and line between you and everyone else in that way?

I don't think I care for harry potter that much I won't go into detail but it just doesn't resonate with me very much I mean it's okay I guess I liked it when I was a kid a little bit but even then I think
It's almost just too old fashioned/traditional and possibly conservative leaning which is why I don't care for it much for one Hogwarts it's kind of an okay idea but of course
it's actually kind of based on a typical old fashioned european school almost and the seeming gothicness throughout the stories is okay but it's too quaint for me in some ways
I think of Dumbledorf and I just think of course he's this really old guy he's not an old mystical sage necessarily he's just a wise old school principle or something and of course despite his age and position he's like always correct and he knows like everything they never go into the concept that the old generation isn't always right sometimes the younger generation has to break off from the older generation
it just doesn't seem that realistic to me or moving I guess but I don't exactly expect everything to be a reflection of myself
but the thing is Harry Potter is not a comfortable escape or escapism for me exactly it doesn't help me completely escape and forgot all my problems for sure but I guess I don't like escapism for sure that much oddly enough
I just feel like Harry Potter is kind of prestigious almost or something
it's considered really "good" but it's kind of in a snobbery way well I just don't think Harry Potter is like how a preferred or idealized future society should be for sure that much I don't know
that's almost what I feel like it is or something
I feel like it's for people who love school or academia or something
I guess maybe the idea is lost on me it's supposed to be a version of school that teaches you all kinds of things that would almost be considered occult or cool or something (forbidden)
but I don't know Haryy Potter is just not mystical enough among another factors for me or something the writing and imagery and ideas in the books are just not super appealing to me for some reason

I don't get how Vancouver is considered a bastion of "liberalism" when half the region is conservative
The most conservative-leaning suburbs in Metro Vancouver are generally found in the Fraser Valley, Richmond, and parts of the North Shore. While the BC NDP has made significant gains across the Lower Mainland recently, these areas historically or recently demonstrated higher support for right-of-centre candidates compared to the city of Vancouver.Key Conservative-Leaning Areas (Metro Vancouver)Abbotsford & Chilliwack: Frequently identified as having the strongest conservative support in the region, often characterized by a mix of suburban and rural, faith-based, and socially conservative demographics.Richmond: Richmond has historically been a stronghold for center-right parties, and while it has seen increased electoral competition, it remains a region with significant conservative support.Langley & Maple Ridge: These areas often trend more conservative than inner suburbs like Burnaby or New Westminster, particularly in federal elections.West Vancouver: Known for more affluent demographics, it has traditionally been a stronghold for the BC Liberal/conservative side of the spectrum.Regional Political TrendsFraser Valley vs. Metro Core: The political divide in B.C. is often defined by the Fraser Valley and Southern Interior being more right-leaning, while Vancouver and Vancouver Island are more left-leaning.Surrey: Surrey is highly suburban and politically competitive (a "swing" region), but certain areas have historically leaned more conservative, particularly in provincial elections.Shift in 2024/2025: Following the decline of BC United, the BC Conservatives made significant inroads into several suburban areas, including Surrey and Richmond.Topography of Suburbs[South Surrey/White Rock] and [Langley] are often seen as more socially and fiscally conservative.[Delta] also tends to lean right of center compared to inner suburbs.
I think it's kind of funny though I've been around a lot of these "conservatives" in Vancouver in fact I felt like I couldn't get away from the conservatives
they're a lot different then conservatives in the rest of the country they're a bit more like "american conservatives" I think they're a bit more wild and a lot more hip which is kind of weird
it would be hard to get people not to think this character is just some homage different version of spiderman
which I kinda want to avoid well I just wonder what kind of reception that would lead to would it be completely overlooked because of that?
I am still a little uncertain about the characterization
I want the character to be like an over the top ninja and also like assassins creed but due to that there are almost certain requirements that such a character type of class requires
he has to have a certain amount of self control and making him a really regular person you would think he would struggle with being
so skilled and controlled
which is what the issue would be but I guess maybe he could just get by relying completely on his powers and abilities primarily
I think with my superpowered superman type characte
I will approach and tackle issue relating to religion and spirituality but also what I would be really tackling is the whole notion and idea of what it means to be "good"
because there can be a lot to that and I would do that a little bit but I don't know if it's all I want to tackle for the character I am not really sure I haven't seriously tried designing him yet
I think with my spiderman like character I will partially try to approach issues that regular people face maybe to an extent
like for an example he would have some type of Jimmy Cricket type character I am not sure how that would work yet I am thinking some type of old wise sage like man but I am not entirely sure maybe he should literally be a bug too
but I was thinking like dealing with topics like how there are forces out there that seek to exert hefty influence over regular people there would be a lot of attempts at subliminal mental manipulation and mind control and otherwise not withstanding
I also want to tackle neo-liberalism I was thinking, I think Spider-mans villians are supposed to be the product of evil capitalism or something at least especially Norman Osbourne the most obvious since he is a billionaire owner of a major corporation who becomes a super villain
I was thinking I could make really exaggerated capitalist villains for this grasshopper character though I am leaning towards neo-liberalism as well but I am not really sure
had some food feel so much better
I realized I think I was struggling with how to make my superman type character
I think I want to make him a little bit like neo from the matrix and also I am thinking about having him fight evil types of robots and such like evil robotic tentacle type beings and things like that
maybe he would fight evil robots all the time I am not really sure
but than my character that will more heavily be involved in space and space travel (it was kind of vaguely inspired by green lantern)
I should have him also fight evil tentacle type creatures too
so I am not sure I am really having a hard time deciding
but I just think it would be cool taking a character that's a mix of neo from the matrix superman and manga
I know neo is supposed to be like superman but approaching and taking that again and furthering along those basic concepts and ideas
I just have strong imagery in my head for what it would be like
uygha shut the fuck up
ugh
some more ideas for this grasshopper spiderman like character
since one of the biggest and main themes is the "everyman" "regular" type of character I decided to deal with regular issues to an extent for regular people one idea I have
it's not like the court of owls in batman but it's some type of secret society but instead of only being the rich it's also regular white collar middle class people too
in my own experiences if you're from a working class background the rest of society can really seem like almost a secret society they keep all their knowledge to themselves they aren't open to you and they never try to help you or anything
there's a lot of jobs out there and they know about many of them but they never tell you about their existence leaving you to wander around only knowing about basic working class jobs
basically serving to keep you stuck in your position role and class
that's what I would try to do
so between this and some kind of dark dimension that always wants to steal his soul I think we are covering ground and ending up with substantial enough ideas
>>782403Don Juan doesn't want to compete with the Big Black Bull.
>>778596woke up this morning got yourself a gun
wokeup
I almost spend 8 hours today thinking about story ideas but than I fell asleep because I laid down because I had been sitting a lot and I started to feel weird sitting for so long
god damnit I keep falling alseep when I lay down but than I had all these fucked up dreams eventually involving creepy bugs and moth's I always dream about creepy bugs in this specific room in my apartment because I am pretty sure it is haunted
having a hard time coming up with ideas
was thinking about how in comics there's a few times they use ancient egyptian culture for their heroes like moonknight and bluebeetle which I think
is kind of fucking lame like oh egypt is so mysterious and mystical
I was thinking about making some type of group entity like the hand in marvel or the league of shadows but instead basing it somewhat on egpytian mythology
they would have some type of obsessive focus with their foreheads
and also I was thinking of some type of villain some type of ancient android type creature giant floating head that has a dot on his forehead and shoots out laser beams
but otherwise I have nothing so far but I got pretty for though I guess nonetheless
yawn
wokeup
slept so long today
I decided not to sit down and take a rest laying down for a while and of course I fucking fell asleep again
I am behind on my goals don't know what I am gonna do
still want to make my batman rpg in rpg maker
so I managed to be more original than superman
Goku as an example is from an alien planet (but oddly enough he's never called an alien very much)
most characters inspired by superman come from outerspace like Invincible HOmelander was just experimented on not really that creative of an origin story
so anyway instead of being an alien my character is actually from earth I tried writing down the basics of teh origin but it's too long so I won't bother explaining
ugh I just can't get comfortable
the last few days I've been struggling with some type of stimulation problem
I really want to do something physically active I realized that I can't use the gym in my apartment complex anymore because it's pretty much been taken over and I don't want to seem associated with those creeps so I'll go to a really high class gym maybe or something where I can listen to music at least and don't have to worry about creeps but it's a pain in the ass to travel all the way to the gym
but I will try
but I've just been having stimulation problems I'm not sure what it is but I've dealt with this issue on and on it's never been too constant but something in my environment sometimes I think it is electronics to an extent and maybe caffeine too they make me feel like my nerves are extremely bothered by something ugh
ugh I just can't get comfortable
I don't have my original written down ideas because it's on my old laptop which the battery had died on so I still have to recover all my files
I don't remember everything in exact detail
but basically for my superman type character I imagined that instead of being aliens they are a group/tribe race of ancient beings that are one of the oldest races that lived in secrecy on the earth they lived in harmony and in tune with nature and the planet and tended and looked after the planet they went into hiding after some point probably when the first civilization had appeared and lived in secrecy ever since they have a special ability to almost communicate to the planet and other living beings
I am creating a shared world with all my characters I have created but in my world no super powered beings exist at first, but eventually something happens with an alien planet I can't remember what exactly but there's this ancient inter-galactic war in outer space eventually these highly advanced aliens come to earth they are extraordinarily advanced they discover the earth but deem it mostly too uncivilized and primitive except they take an interest in this specific race I mentioned and recruit members of their race to fight in their intergalactic war deeming them as highly competent specimens because the aliens have this highly advanced scientific formula and compound or matter that is able to imbue certain lifeforms with powers and abilities but it doesn't work the same for everyone this race of people in particular are extremely sensitive and take to it very well creating a race of almost supermen which is why they expose members of them to the compound and recruit them for their war but it is kept secret from the rest of humanity
but this is a long time ago I am not sure when exactly maybe the middle ages or prior to that but flash forward to like the early 20th century and this compound falls to earth, this alien planet falls to ruin and disappears eaving remnants of it's existence but somehow this highly advanced compound falls to earth, virtually infecting the earth's atmosphere with it's substance it's almost like nuclear radiation I guess it would be worse I am not really sure how I am going to explain it completely because basically it lasts in the atmosphere for an almost unlimited amount of time or at least for a really long time longer then radiation but the effects are unpredictable it doesn't effect everyone the same, some people it doesn't seem to effect at all
but basically it works by unlocking the "god gene" within the human race which is like this unstable particle that evokes change on a life form or substance or material I wrote more about it but I can't remember it all right now
but it leads to people of the earth developing special abilities and mutations not all of them are positive at all it causes some people to almost de-volve and things like that
but this "superman" like character I created basically he is exposed to the compound and this he is one of the last known surviving members of this specific group of people the substance doesn't really harm him at all but it makes him develop super human abilities but my idea is that since it unlocks the "god gene" it's a lot more stable and closer to what the intended effects were ideally meant to be with him
his powers and abilities and the effect the "god" gene has on him is somehow a lot closer to the source and maybe purer in some way then it would be with an average or regular person
that's basically the gist of it
But I'm pretty happy I think that's pretty original nobody has ever done anything like that before
I feel like it might not be as "epic" as superman for some reason, it just doesn't seem as slick or epic and cool as being an alien from a super advanced planet it's maybe not as "good" or something
but I really want to make a point that I am not all about outerspace and aliens like the rest of most other comic books I won't make it that obvious but I am not promoting like
"yeah outer space aliens good" "make sure to accept diversity that much where you are literally supporting random ass totally different alien species" "aliens are good"
just the kind of message that promotes like they make such an empathetic and big deal about superman "oh he's a complete alien but oh no guys you have to have sympathy for him or else!"
I don't want to do that
like superman is basically a God a lot of superheroes take from greek mythology a lot and are basically "gods" and the whole thing with superman being an alien thing
it's weird because I wonder what they are going for early on Superman did have some liberal elements or leanings to the characters stories and such or at least it isn't a completely foreign thing to the character
but superman being an alien it's kind of…you get a sense they were literally inspired by ancient archaeology that seems to point to the "coneheads" and the unspoken assumptions by many people that they might have been evidence of aliens
a lot of people think they were probably aliens and also
the creators of superman basically escaped nazi germany you would think superman being an alien is just to hyper emphasize the point or experience of being an immigrant but not for sure
also the Nazis didn't like the "coneheads" and was probably on their list for racial characteristics they were either opposed to or did not like
but of course I guess Superman could have just literally have been created from the feeling of being like "an alien" or something essentially foreign I guess but I have doubts
nowadays he still almost represents all of that stuff
I mean it works for superman a bit, he's an alien…I guess? for some reason
I don't know how my idea really stands though
it seems like it might be an obvious ploy for racism and racial supermacy but it actually gives a different vibe because I think they would be almost like ancient indigenous people more than anything
and that's not often associated with racism and racial supermacy as much for some reason though I guess *rolls eyes* OH LAWD people would probably say and think "oh that's edgy, that's real edgy" Like oh god man pfffffft
starting to feel pretty good now after I've been awake for a few hours
I am feeling like I can psychologically tune out and ignore the circumstances that have been bringing me down right now I don't know I can do it suddenly I just gained
the ability to ignore everything bothering me
man almost all of canada is "conservative" I fucking hate those Tories
This one place I used to live in is actually really conservative but it makes a lot of sense I guess but it just pinpoints that if that place wasn't liberal than what places actually are liberal? I think the problems I faced in that city were because it was so conservative largely
and vancouver is supposed to be really liberal but it makes a lot of sense, like half the fucking city conservative and divided how many places are divided like that and have split politics between a municipality or region?
if Vancouver isn't that liberal than what are the liberal bases in canada?
Montreal is supposed to be one of the most liberal places in the country and surely enough it was but they voted for a conservative government and have had a conservative gov for some time now so wtf
how the fuck did a "liberal" government win in canada?
"Canada's most liberal and progressive areas are primarily concentrated in its largest metropolitan centers and coastal regions, with Vancouver (British Columbia), Montreal (Quebec), Toronto (Ontario), and Victoria (British Columbia) leading the country in social, cultural, and political liberalism. These progressive strongholds stand out for specific reasons"
what the fuck that's like nothing
Victoria is one of the most liberal places in the country why has nobody ever told me that? i've never met anybody who talks about the politics behind victoria but victoria is kind of small and not very advanced or industrious
Also toronto I seriously doubt toronto is actually that liberal
so basically victoria is the only fucking "liberal" place in the country, what the fuck?
Must-See Attractions & LandmarksParliament Buildings: Overlooking the Inner Harbour, this spectacular neo-baroque complex was constructed in 1898 and serves as the seat of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. Guided tours of the grand interiors and grounds are available. The Fairmont Empress: Often referred to simply as "The Empress," this chateau-style luxury hotel has anchored the Inner Harbour since 1908. It is world-renowned for its traditional Afternoon Tea.Royal BC Museum: Located right next to the Inner Harbour, this highly acclaimed provincial museum and research center offers deep dives into natural and human history.
what the fuck the parilament building of BC is in victoria and it's supposed to be the most liberal place in the country? that sounds like complete bullshit the parliament building is one of the biggest landmarks in the city
it just seems like you can't do anything to escape the god damn bloody Tory's
In Nelson, BC, the Liberal Party holds limited local representation, generally trailing the Conservative and NDP parties. Provincially, the former BC Liberal Party has transitioned and rebranded to BC United (which ultimately merged with the BC Conservatives), and the riding is currently represented by an NDP MLA.Federal RepresentationRiding: Nelson is part of the Columbia—Kootenay—Southern Rockies federal electoral district.MP: Conservative Rob Morrison holds the seat.Liberal Status: The local Liberal candidate is Reggie Goldsbury. While the Liberals finished a distant third in previous elections, they have been working to bolster local campaigns through the Kootenay-Columbia Federal Liberal Association.
holy shit I always thought Nelson was super liberal, there used to be a lot of hippies and artists that live there, there still are to an extent but it's actually conservative too like what the god damn fuck
at least they're calling it "conservatism" I guess but you have to do actual digging to figure this out because Canada still likes to call itself and portray itself as being fairly liberal and more liberal then the united states but it fucking in actuality isn't at all.
conservatism for them is basically just horrible inequality and oppression and racism in this country
Vancouver East side is supposed to be the "liberal" (very liberal) but vancouver east side is just synonymous with fucking drug addiction and homelessness pretty much there's not actually that much to it at all there's like one small area that's like the size of a town in Vancouver east side that serves as the hub for liberalism in vancouver and then that's practically it no liberalism otherwise
I want to try going to toronto to see what it's like but I'm not sure it's supposed to be "centrist" i guess supposedly
AI Overview Toronto is a socially progressive and diverse city, though politically it leans centrist in federal and provincial elections rather than far-left. It operates as a stronghold for the centrist Liberal Party, while downtown and central neighbourhoods frequently elect left-wing representatives from the New Democratic Party (NDP).Political Spectrum in TorontoSocially Progressive: The city is highly tolerant and multicultural, strongly supporting LGBTQ+ rights, public transit expansion, and environmental initiatives.Centrist Dominance: Federally, the city is heavily represented by the Liberal Party, often serving as a key pillar in their national victories. The Left (NDP): Moving into the central core and downtown ridings, voters lean further left, consistently electing NDP candidates in provincial elections while voting strategically for Liberals federally. The Right: While historically weak in central Toronto, conservative parties hold strong support in the surrounding suburban regions (like the 905 area) and have made notable inroads into parts of the outer city.Key Institutions & DataMunicipal Level: Toronto’s city council does not use formal party affiliations, but the consensus of the council typically ranges from centre-left to progressive.
Voters in the Montreal area traditionally do not vote Conservative in major numbers, with the region leaning heavily toward Liberal, Bloc Québécois, or progressive alternatives at both the federal and provincial levels. The historical voting patterns, exceptions, and current landscape for Conservative support in Montreal are structured below.Federal PoliticsLiberal Dominance: The Island of Montreal is an entrenched stronghold for the Liberal Party of Canada.Carney Majority: Following the April 2025 federal election, the Liberals under Prime Minister Mark Carney formed a majority government, leaving the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) struggling to secure ground in urban Quebec. The Mount Royal Exception: The riding of Mount Royal historically marks the highest Conservative vote share in Montreal. This trend is heavily driven by its large Jewish-Canadian population swinging right over recent decades, though Liberal MP Anthony Housefather comfortably retained the seat in 2025.Strategic Absence: Due to low historical returns among both francophones and anglophones on the island, the federal CPC tends to focus resources on rural and eastern Quebec regions rather than campaigning heavily in Montreal proper.
this is not true
Montreal has been voting for conservative parties in recent times and they have shown a strong nationalist ethno centric bent
it just goes to show that even AI lies at times no surprise which is why I don't think Toronto is very progressive anymore and has become "conservative" too most likely but I will go there perhaps
Provincial PoliticsNDP Stronghold: Winnipeg acts as the primary political base for the governing New Democratic Party of Manitoba (NDP). During the election cycle, the NDP historically secures a vast majority of the capital city's legislative seats.
what the fuck it's all backwards in canada, since when is the east coast more liberal? and of course, nobody has ever fucking told me that, no one ever spared me torment and torture and let me know "hey bro the east coast is more liberal" it would have been so easy
I have spent half my life in conservative areas that I thought for sure were liberal at least to some extent wondering why I coudn't get away from the shitty conservative mentality
I'll have to do more exploring around the east coast I guess it's just the only cities that really have anything going on are Vancouver and Toronto mistake me for saying this but I think the rest of the cities and places in Canada are kind of dead
I've been to some of them and they just don't have very much going on except for maybe some big university they make a big deal about that is not really independent that much and is a product of the state like most of their universities are
Like I was in Montreal a few years ago and they had a conservative national government and they were more ethnocentric and I did experience a lot of racism there
But Montreal is supposed to be this big bustling thriving city but it was fucking dead for the most part
there's lots of shitty tourists everywhere of course but besides that it's kind of dead there are actually a fair amount of music venues though I guess Montreal is just really sleepy and for them their sleepiness is like some type of spiritual religious thing where if you don't seem sleepy enough like them they'll think you're some type of demonic entity that is literally on fucking fire
but germans go there all the time and I saw german flags in windows like it's obvious I didn't think surrendering to germany was such a big part of their history but that's obviously what it is with the french
that's how they get away with still being considered "liberal" because they are essentially national socialist like straight up that's how the economy is run it's national socialism

caught AI dishing out propaganda
Montreal elected party is a right wing party even though traditionally it was always left leaning until recent times
what the god damn fuck AI calls it a "liberal and left leanings strong hold"
not fucking anymore wonder where all the liberals and such went to after that it must have been like an exodus most of them probably wouldn't know where to go
I would try to go the States after that it is enough reason to move to America I think what is with this sudden shift?
it's just backwards compared to America for one BC is right above Washington which is fairly liberal
and not only that but parts of BC have the best weather it is like canadian equivalent of fucking california or something california is liberal despite all the wealthy people there and everything
but it's like the opposite all the wealthy people in BC vote fucking conservative and are really stringent with their money and wealth it's fucked up
But who knows what Tories actually stand for that's kind of a headcase or struggle of a time to figure out
because I don't think the conservatives in Canada are really very nationalist they are just very capitalist and I think neoliberal/globalist they're all for unregulated capitalism and outsourcing they could care less they're not really nazis i don't think but they are really racist
WHAT THE FUCK
"The ABC Vancouver party holds the majority governing power in the City of Vancouver. Led by incumbent Mayor Ken Sim, the center-right party won a dominant majority in the 2022 municipal election.Political representation across municipal, provincial, and federal levels is distributed as follows"
conservative party elected in Vancouver as well
such fucking bullshit
I really want to see what en entire liberal place is actually liek in Canada just so I can figure out if it's predominately the conservatives that are behind everything
whys this thread so schizo
"In many ways, B.C. is a province that's divided and polarized between left and right. The bulk of the left wing vote is concentrated in Vancouver, parts of the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island, and the more conservative vote is in the Fraser Valley, southern Interior, the north — and that's reflected in the vote share," said UBC political scientist Max Cameron.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/what-are-the-most-right-and-left-leaning-ridings-in-b-c-1.4105613such bullshit and propaganda no wonder it is near impossible to figure out what is really going on thankfully AI was actually a life saver for me here
"Doug Ford is officially a conservative, serving as the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario and currently holding the position of Premier of Ontario."
so ontario claims to be non-partisan but Doug Ford is conservative too
the mayor of Ontario is progressive but she's chinese no offense but more often than not I just expect the chinese to vote for policies that benefit mostly the chinese
