>>779714There are plenty of killers that do get released from prison and don't get killed at all
>>779832People forget after a few years. Plus it takes a certain amount of nerve to kill someone which most people don't have even if it's someone that you think deserves it. Most likely you have to be just like the killer.
im leaving my new job after 3 months
>>779836How come? Was it that shitty? Did you find a better one?
>>779837not really. its decent actually but i hate it idk why
>>779840Those are some nice feet
I'm tired of interacting with strangers on the internet, especially on imageboards. I wasn't like this, it's recent. What happened?
>>779974I think 食べすぎたら太くなる is better.
I'm tired, jesus
>>780231just go anyway, and do your best. nobody has enough experience for the jobs, they just put that on there hoping they get someone who does. even if you don't get it, it's good experience.
>>780231I remember back when I used to apply for more professional jobs I got an interview at my local county courthouse for a position and the ladies that were assessing my bilingual ability asked me why I wasn't trying to apply for a higher level position and I was thinking I've never had a position like this before now you're saying I should go for a higher level? Well I want this position since I was unemployed and had really only worked physical labor jobs. In the end I didn't get the job and I didn't apply for the higher position.
>>780232>>780235Can I ask you what was the position?
The public administration job advertisement for some bloody reason never includes required work experience, so I have no idea whether this is an entry level position where they will train me from nothing, or am I expected to already be expert in the field.
>>780433I can't even remember what the position was honestly. I think it might've been some kind of courthouse clerk job and the ladies were recommending I apply for what sounded more like a paralegal position. It's been over 10 years now and I had applied several times for either a courthouse job or an office job for my county so I can't really remember. I'm done with that anyways I should've realized long before then that an office job just wasn't for me.
>>779830You should Luigi the next workplace that ghosts your application. Porky ain't going to learn to hand out the jobs until they start getting shot every day.
I feel like the reason partially that people openly disprove the Nazis so much is that there's is a more likely chance that if they go too far over the line than they won't be spared and they can't just do whatever they want.
But simultaneously I think Globalism is the modern equivalent to fascism. It's not inherently the same but it has a similar pull
But like I think with Trump and America I think all they'll end up with is angry neo-liberals all going to the far right
but I've studied WW2 and I don't think it will be the same as the original Nazis for sure.
especially with "fascist" Israel and shit like that
I think the internet is full of like serial killers
now I say that, and I am not saying they are for sure, but they might as well be. Just awful people. But it scares me to socialize IRL and many of my experiences doing so have been quite dreadful and terrible as well. Like I said I think Globalism was the new fascism.
I got 'groomed' into being bisexual, I wouldn't say it was rape because i liked it, it just hit me like a curve ball because I thought I was straight because gay porn doesn't do anything for me but it's different in the flesh, but I have no idea what this means for me going forward because I'm not into dating apps and hookups, I feel like it should be a big deal but it doesn't really seem like it but I suppose it explains my attachment style to my previous male friendships being possessive.
>>779714This is just dumb.
Most murders went unsolved until DNA testing came about in the late 1980s
>>780945I'm glad I generally like being a dude.
After two weeks my straight conversion fetish has come back very strongly, last times I had releapsed i stopped the next day, but I feel it won't like that this time, I have already downloaded 40 files of porn…
>>780761If you were really "groomed" I assume it will go away if it isn't really natural if you don't watch porn, if it stays maybe it means you were always bisexual?
>>780945I see Transsexuality and Asexuality as two sides of the same coin.
>>780761you cant get groomed if there isnt coercion involved also no one is "groomed" into being a sexuality if you have an attraction you do thats just something that developed in you not that was placed in you by "grooming"
Fuck, didnt do anything for last 4 days. I have to study the labour code for the job interview. And tomorrow send some more CVs. Currently spending time at my parents place so I am not sticking to diet either. I literally cant put on last year's pants, summer is already here and I am almost 10kg away from my goal weight.
Stumbled upon some older man appreciation art on twitter, made me feel a little better about myself.
>>780965Elaborate.
alright i think im either high or going insane from too much doomscrolling, schizopost ahead!
i saw the first image. this thing about men being all snakes and some being poisonous….and it struck me, its almost the same shit as some very old tweet about trump saying syrian refugees are like skittles, not all, but some are poisonous, so let's avoid them all together…apearantly that one's attacked, but this ain't.
and before all of that, there was a nazi book using this very same argument, 'der gifplitz' the "lesson" was all jews are mushrooms, some are poisonous, avoid the risk and don't bother all together!
why are performing feminists using very old nazoid memes, and trumpist memes somehow stunning and brave? swear its wierd as hell
the memes son, made to be recycled
>>781477Because feminism is reactionary, not that complicated
For the past two months leftypol has been the 28% most visited website from me, if i take the history from february its 12%, but now it has grown…
Not good
>>781477These same feminists will say “not all women are like that”
>>781484Some of our feminists in the 19th/20th century were eugenicists
>>781504
im gonna bite fuck it.
and that somehow makes it kosher to use the same shit trump and the nazis say huh. just flip it around
at this point just drop the hetreo, why perform? make it all men lmao
>>781506
job, now
>>781514because you're gay or a woman, and you can't choose your sexuality.
>>781515>>781515Yeah and so it would be homophobic to remove the hetnoid
>>779711Who is this in the pic? She was in the last thread op too. She looks cool
I know a lot of people will disagree with me but I think adulthood is better than childhood.
The reason a lot of people think otherwise is because of pop culture and because most people are not well equipped
Adults have freedom for personalized amenities/experience without being pathologized for it
You have greater freedom of expression
You get moral allowance to deviate from societal expectations
Whereas in childhood, people are intolerant of you having flaws or nuances.
Recreation is regulated and sometimes forced into group activities
People think kids who prefer solitude or individuality are seen as low empathy
>>781613I’ve learned that whenever something good happens to me, something bad will immediately follow
pepe the frog meme edit *fart noiss*
>>781636Most people don't really want freedom. They just want someone to tell them what to do. We'd be better off under some kind of enlightened dictatorship, at least I think so.
>>781647Freedom vs favor
But yea you're right.
People do not want freedom.
They want favors.
It's no wonder why religion is so common that it even enforced onto children
>>781587This is Iron Maiden, right? I can't remember the song AAAAAAAAAAA

>>781742don't know, I never tried any of them myself, I just saved the image with the intention of checking them out but never did. anyway, if they run on windows you can probably make these games run through wine. 99% of games run on linux these days with wine.
>>781742>>781747Aren't those rpg maker 2000/2003 games? if they are they can run with easyrpg player even on a Wii
Looks like I'm not getting into a post graduate program. Ever.
Personalized entertainment/gratification is given too much flak
Society is doubling down on codependency for gratification as copium against electronic media
I believe a lot of the loneliness epidemic is exaggerated. People have a romanticized view of socialization where it’s all meaningful conversations and constructive recreation
Most socialization session are just idle chatter while roaming the landscape waiting for adventure
>>781782The best way to kill yourself peacefully is by aging.
If you're worried about society coming to destroy you, just remember that Bordiga ate for our sins.
>>781873The aging process is anything but easy
Achey joints, strokes, dementia, etc
>>781873Nobody dies of "aging", you die of cancer, of systemic organ failure etc
>>781951Actually yea this is the better answer
Idk what’s up with this board glazing the hell out of women as eternal angels who can do no wrong.
And what’s more, whenever I suggest befriending elderly women, people balk.
They feel disgust towards women over forty but they swear up and down the aisle they love and respect women despite only focusing on the young beautiful ones
>>782187A lot of us want to glaze women a different way than what you're describing.
>>782195Lathering them in baby oil or bukkake?
>>782206I should add also making them sweaty from love making is pretty hot.
>>782208Yea I know.

>>779832>There are plenty of killers that do get released from prison and don't get killed at allYes, the boring ones. The ones who stopped, they're not dangerous anymore.
>>779833>Plus it takes a certain amount of nerve to kill someoneYou've just argued my case for me. Lack of nerve is the point. It's a natural filter. The system corrects itself.
>People forget after a few years. You think the system runs on your goldfish memory? You forget how cause and effect works? Forgetting doesn't matter. The dangerous ones get themselves killed regardless.
>>780812>This is just dumb.Your brain hit a wall?
>Most murders went unsolved until DNA testing came about in the late 1980sPast inability to catch doesn't mean they lived peacefully forever. Abnormal behavior attracts fatal outcomes. Unsolved by cops, not by consequence. Outcome data says the lethal ones don't die old in bed.

>>783029It wasnt fine. At least I didnt get humiliated, if anything the nice woman interviewing me seems more embarrassed about the whole ordeal. Turns out the job is completely different from what was advertised, some time ago they restructured the work, however as this is public administration and de jure position is the same, so the advertised job description stayed the same as well. Out of desperation I would still take it, but I am never getting it, because before I found out the first question I was asked was why I want this job, and I answered why I want a job I am
not currently interviewing for! FUCK. I spend days studying for the interview, reading up on relevant laws and initiatives, time fucking wasted. This is still the only response I got since my job search started! JUST GIVE ME A FUCKING JOB, I DONT WANT TO NEET ANYMORE, I WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY YOU PIECES OF SHIT, MY EDUCATION WAS PAYED ON TAXPAYER DIME, GIVE ME A FUCKING JOB I CAN PUT IT TO USE IN!
I am so tired. More responsibilities to take care of today, gotta study some more MS Excel too afterwards (which I dont even have, I have to follow Excel tutorials on LibreOffice) to make myself more employable.

Does anyone else tire of this constant moral harassment about “changing the world”?
This whole idea of wanting to change the world, the more I think about it, the more tiring it seems, and the only people who can handle that are often the most egocentric individuals
For some time now I have been sticking to consistent sleep schedule, waking up at reasonable time. Well today I fucked up again, its 5AM now, slend entire night scrolling through job boards in panic. Im sorry for spamming with my bullshit problems.
>>784123>>784210>>784126I cant shake feeling I would be annoying them. Like we will spend a day together and they will realize I am boring to be around. I have nobody else. Probably going to text them today, just have to gather courage. I never know what to say or do together.
I'm a fatfuck with bad knees who desperately needs a way to get into shape, so that's why I decided to get a rowing machine. however, I'm new to rowing, so what the fuck do I know about anything? well, like a dumbass, I decided to buy a cheap ass rowing machine from a company called 'merach' which is obviously some garbage second rate chinese shit.
reddit says that if you get anything other than a concept2, then you've wasted your money, and that's probably correct. most of the time, reddit is retarded, but you can get decent advice that isn't just advertisement by actual people on reddit.
still, fuck reddit though. boomer ass website not much better than facebook desu. anyway, I'm going away now to try and flail around on this garbo machine. hopefully it works for me and next time I'll spend my wageslavebux on something better quality.
>>779711Sent like a hundred CVs out, didn't even get an interview, just sent one out there today, got instantly refused afterwards (fuckers had the balls to ask me if they could my cv, fuck them)
Is this normal nowadays or am I on some blacklist somewhere, I google my name but can't find anything weird. I'm just trying to find a summer's job, but that odd, did the same thing last year, only the university gave me a few days work.
>>784559Sounds normal in the big ass 2026.
>>784570Last year, the only interview I had, they had dogs that were chasing after me when I came in the building, I didn't even bother keeping contact with them, very shady.

boring/unfunny joke type:
- only point of the joke is that it's offensive
- "well, that just happened" hollywood jokes
- sex is the punchline and nothing else
- anti-jokes
- puns
- reference humor
quality joke types:
- completely unexpected punchlines
- relatable punchlines
- self-deprecation punchlines
- the delivery is the punchline and not the actual joke
- ironic self-aggrandizing punchlines "people told me I'd never be anything, but now I'm a comedian and who is laughing now?" (it's funny the first time you hear it!)
- bizarre non-sequitur gimmicks that don't follow the structure of jokes but are funny anyway the shit tom green does

There's no war but class war
Reality is raw
You're born with money or you live and die poor
It's class war
Not religion or race and the aim of the game is to keep us in place
It's class war
We at the bottom of the barrel, you won't see me wearing the freshest apparel
Class war
Gotta work all the time to afford all the things that are rightfully mine
It's class war
They the pimps we the whores
Got us working in the street
While they purchase in stores
Ride around in a Benz
Geeked out off of meds
While they counting they gems
And it's a god damn shame
I'm a slave to the game
Like a fiend to the cane
I'm just a cog in the wheel
Refusal, resist 'em
Insist that you kneel down
To the almighty dollar
Order through chaos
The ultimate power
They got thought control
Multiple generations lost they souls
Out chasing American dreams
It's us against them
Start picking your teams
It's not this against that
Ain't red against blue
It ain't white against black
It's class war
(chorus)
They only want to knock down a stand up guy
So most keep their heads low
And yearn for their turn to fly
We all work for the beast
To understand its nature
The goal is to beat you down, build you up, and rape you
I don't care if you wear a flak jacket or a backpack
The price of dignity is a lifetime of back taxes
So, how random is random, really?
That tandem is really silly
To make it in any city you need (a milly)
They make you own insurance you can't afford
And when you get caught without it
They have the nerve to write you a ticket for it
It's what we created, but they want to pimp hamsters
Small space to roam, fed through a drip
Nothing's face value except for what shouldn't be
So the closer you get to self, the closer to relief
The architect got us all confused
So I spend my life glorifying nothing that I can't prove
(chorus)
Manipulating the sorcery
Dark arts forcing the foolish through parasitic means
Fiends or consumers they feel for the corporate schemes
It's never about government, baby, it's about that green
No religion breed or grieve but greed
We shouting at the puppets but we need to follow the strings
News is useless, pundits is clueless
We losing resources while they stuck on Anubis
Nuclear talks that'd put us out of loss
How the federal reserve loan sharking on the boss
Shit is twisting up my thoughts down that spiral
I roll another blunt and strengthen my resolve
Wish that I could quit my job
But my family got to eat
Stretch arms round misery just to make ends meet
They faking freedom, even the president is a prisoner in this kingdom
Well, who's the king then?
(chorus)
Are these lyrics correct?
>>785598Have you tried beating him up until he cums?
For a few months I’ve been working on a mod for Civilization 4. Well, it's actually a mod of the Earth series of mods that have been a thing for over a decade now. But to toot my own horn, my version is more politically grounded.
Central in the mod are political regimes, which replace the base game religions. I've represented liberalism, "hybridism", and authoritarianism. The world's divided between these categories and the victory condition is for the player to establish their regime as the global norm. It's kind of a catch all of the games default victories, so it's partially determined by your overall Civ score, but also if you have the "holy city" for your political regime, and if you've built a version of your regimes wonders (kind of like the space race victory). I plan for about 5 wonders for each regime.
Liberalism, for example, has a Global Monetary System, International Legal Framework, and Civil Society Network. Obviously I'll need two more eventually. In order to build the regime wonders, you have to be the current elected head of your global regime. Each regime has their own United Nations equivalent that all member states vote on and participate in, so there's inter and intra regime competition. I feel this adds interesting nuance, since it creates times where logically you may want to undermine an ideological ally or align yourself with an ideological enemy to achieve your goal.
There's also an instability system in which states can be overwhelmed by insurgents and political dissidents, both of which can (and ideally should) be exacerbated by competing countries.
Anyway, a lot has gone into the mod and AI has been super useful. I've used it to create most of the mod's icons and to brainstorm ideas. I've attached some of my favorite icons from the mod.
I'm still working on the map, which is challenging considering that I can only have a maximum of 50 civs. I've decided to make most civs "blocs", groupings of real world countries with broadly aligned geopolitical goals. Especially significant countries get their own civilization.
In the Middle East, there's Israel, the Gulf Peninsula Bloc (Saudi Arabia + Kuwait and Bahrain and parts of Yemen), the Mashriq Bloc (Iraq, parts of Syria, and the Mediterranean Arab States), and Iran. There's also Egypt, but it's not quite in the screenshot.
The Aden Bloc comprises Qatar, UAE, Somaliland, Eritrea, and parts of Sudan and Yemen.
The gray civilization is "Failed State". It's a reworked Barbarian civ and is what occurs when terrorists/political agitators successfully over take their governing state. I've got to rework it as update the stability system. Ethiopia will be added to a bloc (probably the Great Lakes Bloc) as a failing (but not failed) state, along with Somalia (probably).
The other screenshot is the Asia Pacific. It has China (which will control an unstable Myanmar, a comprise) and North Korea, in addition to the Pacific Rim Bloc (which is South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan).
I'm still working on balancing the interstate relations, so for some reason random countries love invading Ukraine, except Russia (by default, Russia and Ukraine aren't at war). Anyway, it's interesting how this project has led me into researching things I probably would've never looked into otherwise. I've had to look into global military sizes and scale my findings so that they fit the mod, which had to align with the units I chose to represent, which aligns with buildings and techs, and my overall intent with the mod. Similarly, I'm researching non-state actors to get some standardized way to represent rebel groups/terrorists and the like.
Probably in a month or two I'll have a version of this that's actually ready to be uploaded.
>>785619>he raises his voice>I match the tone>he shuts up and freezes and tears start rolling downA bit much, no?
>>785927looks cool, is there no socialism though?
Actually, now that I think about it. Marxism will come up more as I finalize the map and start actually placing infrastructure. There's going to be 4 tiers of development, and less developed states will situationally benefit from communist policy. It difficult to really represent communism though since effectively every country is governed directly by the player (or AI).
>>786447>It difficult to really represent communism though since effectively every country is governed directly by the player (or AI).just abstract it. not like the democratic countries vote on what the player should do either is it?
My PC just blew up. It made a popping noise before shutting down and smelling burnt. I'm remembering something that really makes me cringe. One time when I worked at fruit packing house I was working and had worked about a week straight of mostly 12+ hour days and one day the supervisor sent me home early. I was so ecstatic that I thought I'd do something funny but I wasn't sure what to do with my hands so I just waved at the guys who worked there in a very fruity way. I made the guys laugh but I didn't really mean to do what I did. I guess they must've thought I was gay because the next day one of the guys asked me if I was a faggot. I didn't really appreciate that but I was generally cool with that guy so I shrugged it off. Sometimes I remember that and it feels very cringe.
>>788416I absolve you of your cringe, you did nothing wrong, I doubt any of those guys even remembered it a month later yet alone now. You are free my child.

I'm test playing the latest version of my Civ 4 mod.
I'm playing as the EU and decided to aid Ukraine against China, Russia, Iran, and a few other less relevant Civs. The actual diplomatic situation surrounding the war is complex, but the primary actors are NATO plus its East Asian allies versus Russia, Iran, and China. I was able to get the bloc representing Southeast Asia to declare war against Iran, but not China. Turkey is also at war with Iran, but not Russia.
All of Eastern Europe plus most of Eastern Germany was quickly leveled by Russian nukes. Brussels also got hit but it wasn't too bad. I assume Russia and China tried to nuke more targets but their ICBMs were mostly intercepted. China did hit Los Angeles though. They did shoot off all of their tactical nukes at the Pacific Rim Bloc (Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan) though. Basically ensuring South Korea and Japan were leveled to the point of irrelevancy. The entire bloc is essentially just Taiwan now. There wasn't even a land invasion following it. The US retaliated against China and nuked a few of its cities but it had minimal effect, I assume their ICBMs were intercepted too.
There hasn't been any significant military action outside of Eastern Europe, where I've pretty much rendered Russia irrelevant. I'm a bit surprised North Korea hasn't entered the war to at least annex South Korea.
Oh, Israel decided to chimp out and nuke Syria in anticipation of invading much of the region.
Since the map is massive, I'm only like 4 turns in so I'll be interested in seeing what other shit happens. Also, I think post-war will be interesting. Playing this save emphasizes how much I need to flesh out the city development process, and the civilization stability system. If I actually set it up, it would be interesting trying to politically stabilize post nuclear holocaust Europe. Also, trying to either integrate the portions of Russia I occupy or divvy it up, or whatever.
I'm in a SEA Facebook travel group and just read a long post about some local woman taking in a mentally ill Black guy and getting screwed over when he tripped out and destroyed the bedroom she let him stay in. The women literally subsidized his existence for two months. She ultimately tracked him to a hotel with another woman (probably a hooker). Making things even more interesting, the woman who got screwed over fetishized black men and has a business selling black dildos. Is this really what BBC does to the brain lmao?

it is truly amazing how many capitalists deserve nothing other than to die agonizing deaths.
80% of job applications being posted aren't even real anymore - they're just being posted in order to gauge labor market sentiment and whether or not there's lots of people being hired, so they know when the best time to play hardball in wage negotiations is. it's either that or they're deliberately not hiring anyone so they can run to the local government later and cite it as proof that "no one is willing to work" and then they can import in an immigrant to do the job for below minimum wage.
>>795118There is more competition on jobs that require no skill. Meanwhile specialized workers are next to impossible to acquire domestically.
>>795122It's the company's job to provide on the job training for new hires but you lazy capitalist fucks have gotten so greedy you don't even want to do that anymore and expect random universities (lol) to train perfect workers who already know how to work with proprietary specialized in-house tools and software (that they had no conceivable way of ever being able to learn anyways before even joining your company). You all deserve to be shot by firing squads.
>>795274The village with no mirror
This is a tale from long ago. In Echigo (modern day Niigata prefecture) there lived a man called Shousuke. Shousuke lived with his father. One day, Shousuke's father became sick. Shousuke cared for him as best as he could, but his father died. Every day, Shousuke visisted his father's grave. he brought water and food to his father's grave. Even after getting married he visited his father's grave every day. For 18 years he did this without fail. The people in the village said, "Shousuke truly is a fine man." One day, the local lord heard about Shousuke's story and summoned him to the castle.
Lord: So you're Shousuke?
Shousuke: Yes.
Lord: I heard that your father died 18 years ago and that you'd visisted his grave every day since.
Shousuke: Yes.
Lord: You're a good son, a fine son.
Shousuke: No, I was just visiting my father's grave
Lord: No, it's not just something that anyone would do. Shousuke, you're a fine man. I grant you these beautiful kimonos.
Shousuke: I have kimonos
Lord: Fine, then I grant you possession of a wide rice field
Shousuke: I have a rice field, too
Lord: Fine, then I grant you money.
Shousuke: I don't have money, but I'm just fine without it. If you have a lot of money you won't work.
Lord: Well, there must be something that you want
Shousuke: I have no desire for anything, but I have a favor.
Lord: What is it. Speak.
Shousuke: I'd like to see my dead father.
Lord: Huh?
The lord was troubled by this. He whispered to his vassal in a hushed voice.
Lord: Shousuke, do you resemble your father?
Shousuke: Yes, I very much resemble him.
Lord: Very well, take this box with a mirror inside
The lord's vassal presented the box with the mirror inside.
Lord: Shousuke, look inside this box.
Shousuke: Yes.
Shousuke looked inside the box.
Shousuke: Father! You've come!
Shousuke thought his father had come to meet him when he saw his own face in the mirror. None of the people who lived in this village had ever seen a mirror.
When Shousuke saw his own face in the mirror, he cried tears of joy. The face in the mirror cried, too.
Shousuke: Oh father, please don't cry. But, father, you've gotten younger.
Lord: Take very good care of this box. However, make sure that no one else can see inside it.
Shousuke received the mirror and happily returned home. Then, he placed the mirror box inside his shed. From that point on, every morning and every night, Shousuke would go to the barn.
Shousuke's wife Omitsu grew warried. - Shousuke goes to the shed every morning and every night, but why? One day, Omitsu waited until after Shousuke went to his rice field, then entered the shed.
Then, she happened upon the mysterious box. She looked inside and… "Ah! A woman!" Omitsu was surprised, and the woman in the box was also surprised. "Who are you? Where did you come from?" Omitsu has also never seen a mirror before.
Shousuke returned from the field.
Shousuke: Omitsu, I'm back.
Omitsu: …
Shousuke: I'm hungry, is the rice ready yet?
Omitsu: …
Shousuke: Omitsu, what's wrong? Are you sick?
Omitsu: Who's that woman in the shed?
Shousuke: Woman in the shed? Huh? Ah, so you looked inside the box. That's my father.
Omitsu: Your father? No, that's a woman… Who is that woman?
Omitsu started hitting Shousuke.
Shousuke: Ah, it hurts!
Omitsu: Stupid, idiot!
Shousuke: It hurts, it hurts, it hurts!
A nun, (female monk) from a nearby temple, heard two voices coming from Shousuke's house and went inside.
Nun: Shousuke, what's going on here? Omitsu, don't cry.
Omitsu: Inside the shed…
Nun: Inside the shed?
Omitsu: There's a woman inside the shed
Nun: Huh? A woman?
Shousuke: That's my father.
Omitsu: No, it's a woman! There's a woman inside that box!
Shousuke: No, that's my father. It's not a woman!
Nun: Fine, why don't I go have a look inside the shed.
The nun entered the shed and opened the box. This nun had also never seen a mirror before.
Nun: Ah, it's a woman alright. There's a woman in there. But…
The nun emerged from the shed.
Nun: Shousuke, Omitsu, stop fighting! There is a woman inside the box, but it's alright. The woman must've realized she did something wrong and became a nun!

Humanity is weird. The things we do and pay attention to are weird. Like, parody rap songs, for example. Why are those a thing? Someone one day decided to make a rap song about a video game character or movie or something, probably because they wanted to make rap tracks but felt like they couldn't cause they're not 'a real mothafukken G'. It's weird that parody rap songs exist, and it's weird that people pay them attention and might even think they're cool. Entertainment in general is weird. Generally, people will have spent hundreds of thousands of hours over the course of their lives consuming entertainment media, and will think themselves arbiters of taste and quality, but will also be generally unable to explain why they feel the way they do about a particular piece of media. Cat got your tongue? Bad at language? What is it? Regardless, the concept of making entertainment and then being entertained by someone else's entertainment is weird to me.
It's weird that there are people who can earn billions of dollars making songs, but only because they have the backing of some huge corporate entity whose business is to sell their likeness as a product, and christen them as idols, and it's weird that the rest of us commoners, who have no such corporate backing, are relegated to being effectively impotent in our ability to achieve a similar level of success, even in the age of the internet, which has facilitated unprecedented communication around the globe.
Think about it, Justin Bieber wasn't some hit sensation out of his garage, he was picked up by a record label. Oh, sure, he went viral I guess, but he still required backing from music executives who sought to exploit his talents or style for their benefit. It's just weird to me that most people have to slave away at monotonous jobs that they hate, just so they can feed themselves and their families, while a scant few are given the opportunity to achieve such incredible financial success for being the court fucking jester, or perhaps participating in athletics, or some other "fun" activity that would otherwise be nothing more than a pass time had certain people not realized that such things could earn trillions of dollars through their entertainment value.
I can see why you'd label artists and athletes petit bourgeoisie, and those who would aspire to inhabit such positions as lumpenprole.
>>797601I think most forms of entertainment are ultimately part of some tradition, a more general notion of what some people would call fandom bleedover. These things seem to delight us, because they exist in reference to something else, and interacting with them engages us in some kind of indirect social conversation
Capitalist mass culture has been both an awesome standardizer and a great destroyer of local tradition in that regard. Whenever i read something about the personal life of a fanfiction writer, they seem to be working a regular job and do it precisely for that participation with others in a community. Therefore i don't think this form of entertainment is much different in purpose from the low culture of the past, if significantly so in scope, complexity and convenience.

>>800640what is to blame for this sort of irrational bias against men? I know a lot of men are also irrationally angry at women, but they're pushed to the fringes, hence why places like imageboards are populated by them, because they couldn't get on social media and post content like this, that mocks or denigrates female abuse victims and have it just be socially acceptable. so what gives?
>>800640Funnily enough there’s been female rape victims that orgasm.
Organs isn’t always purely voluntary
>>800647>what is to blame for this sort of irrational bias against men?i always tell people that the failure of third wave feminism, which was itself a failure to overcome the impasse between women emancipation and capitalism, has directly lead us to its natural conclusion: heteropessimism. which is itself patriarchal, so you may as well enjoy it: hatred against men is still centering men after all.
I think that society should stop stigmatizing giving up
There’s nothing wrong with throwing in the towel and callin it a day permanently
People often say “if you first don’t succeed, try again”.
They also say “you’re never too old to start over”
It people forget or ignore that time and energy are limited
The more you toil on things that don’t work, the less energy you have left.
The worse the outcome is.
Not everyone is meant to succeed in this existence.
So why delay the inevitable?
“Keep on keeping on” is platitudes for people who don’t have the balls to end it all.

Once upon a time, Koyama pond was a rice field. One day, the entire rice field became a pond. Why did it become a pond? This is the Tottori prefecture legend. Once there was a wealthy person. This wealthy person owned a wide rice field, a fine home, and gold and silver. The village people called him Koyama-millionaire. In Japan, rice planting is done in the spring to make rice. The millionaire once decreed that "all rice planting must be finished in a single day". Every year, because the millionaire uses many people to achieve this, the rice planting is finished in a single day. This year's rice planting has begun. A lot of village people came to assist. Everyone started working at the break of dawn. The millionaire expected that the rice planting would be finished in a single day.
On that day at noon, some monkeys came from a nearby mountain. A mother monkey and her children. A single woman saw the monkeys. Therefore, she loudly screamed, "There's monkeys, there's monkeys". The monkeys became surprised and started to run. Everyone watched the monkeys until they returned to the distant mountain. Therefore, work slowed greatly. By dusk, when the millionaire went to field, the rice planting still wasn't finished. The millionaire became pale. "Rules dictate that the rice must be planted in a single day. It seems this year's rice planting has not been finished. If the sun returns, night will proceed slowly" The millionaire retrieved a golden fan from his home. Therefore, he said, "Return, return. You must be here until the rice planting is finished" as he waved the fan three times. Then, with three powerful gusts the sun returned to on high. The millionaire said, "Saa, everyone, you can now continue planting rice. It seems the rice planting will be completed after all".
The rice planting was finished in a day. That night, the millionaire invited everyone to his home. Everyone drank a lot of alcohol. The millionaire sang and danced. When everyone was getting drunk, something strange was happening outside. A lot of water flowed into the millionaire's rice field. Therefore, in the period of one night the field had seemingly become a deep hole of water. The next morning, the field had already no longer existed. In its place, a single wide wide pond, now Koyama pond. The millionaire's entire field became a pond. Why did the water come forth and turn the millionaire's field into a deep pond? The village people said, "It's probably because the millionaire made the Gods angry when he forced the sun to return."

but, twist is, he keeps his karma from his previous life, which will later reflect on his current death along your current state of mind. if you died peacefully you move on to the next more favorable body, if you screamed and felt traumatic pain as you were aborted or died weeks into being a baby, it may carry that trauma into the next life.

Meaning, nothing is guaranteed to happen or not happen but your eventual death. Death is guaranteed. You not killing yourself doesn't do anything to impact your eventual death. You will die whether you kill yourself today or never. Why not put off death for another day, it will happen regardless, why give up the state of life for the state of death which is inevitable. If your life is literally nonstop being strapped down and tortured, shure death is superior, but most suicidal people it is because their life doesn't line up with their unfounded imaginary expectations.

>INB4 killing yourselfI know you people. Like I said I've been in far too many conversations with supposedly "suicidal" people posting on here. I've seen it all. I can tell you the patterns. Obviously for one, you are not actually serious about doing it, that's why you're posting about it here instead of having already done it. After that you're going to start making excuses about how you just can't find a convenient enough method to kill yourself. Then it's about finding some other suicidal person to make some kind of suicide pact with, because even in death, your biggest fear is being alone, and you're going to chicken out unless some other person is holding you to it.
But the conclusion I've really come to is people who talk about their desire for suicide all the time don't even want to do it at all. Your real goal is to make other people as miserable as yourself, and you don't have the guts to be a spree shooter or something, so the next best thing is trying to bring everyone else down who will listen to you.

That’s funny because most of the people who whine about wanting to off themselves are usually older than 22. They’re in their thirties with relatively stable jobs but yearning over missed opportunities for love and excessive nostalgia
The whole high schoolers waning to off themselves over their first break up is exaggerated
But for young people who are struggling with college wanting to off themselves that’s not “barely any problems” especially since college is overpromoted as the only way and grant money isn’t easy to come by.
The guy you mentioned the Houdini cat? Hes an outlier of people to be happy in his situation
I’m tired of people trying to dismiss woes especially young peoples woes by using outliers of happy people in desolate situations.
Most people would want to off themselves if they’re behind on rent and lost their job especially in a bad job market.

Imagine if you started living life like you don't fucking care and just do what you want instead of being imprisoned by these ideas and fantasies and expectations in your head.
>I was trying to find this one meme image that said "kill yourself? No kill your self!" something like that. It's an obvious enough pun it has been made many times so I will post this book cover despite I have never seen it before just nowI hear people like you say shit like this as if though it’s easy to live the way you want with zero fucks without consequences
“Like dude none of this matters just let yourself go man” like some semi-bohemian loser who has no real responsibilities or goals to achieve in life.
>>809041Go tell that to the people on the sex and relationship threads whom are all pas threat twenties whining about missed opportunities for love. I’m not that guy.
Or better yet tell that to all the people on here who wanna off themselves because they think current year pop culture is too chucked for them because it’s not as cool as it used to be in the “good old days”
As for everyone else, the people who talk about wanting to suicide are people like me who realize that not everyone is cut out for prospects. Not everyone who wants to off themselves are obsess with getting laid
Some of us actually had attempted college several times, are unable to get better jobs despite our best efforts
There’s one anon on here who is unable to land a job despite going on a lot of job interviews
I’m sick and tired of people shaming others for wanting to give up, to refuse to play along anymore
I find it funny that you whine about suicidal anons but there’s no criticism for NEETdom.
Most NEETs or their sympathizers on here are people who don’t wanna work.
>>809057Chihuahua anon, you made a terrible rationalization.
>You can be happy being a middle aged minimum wage worker spending your paycheck on weed and shitThat’s not what everyone wants. That’s only okay for a minority of people.
>>809046It seems that venting about suicidal ideation is wrong but it’s okay to rant about “normies” and how “society is fake” and “wanting a revolution”
>>809069>That’s funny because most of the people who whine about wanting to off themselves are usually older than 22. They’re in their thirties with relatively stable jobs but yearning over missed opportunities for love and excessive nostalgiaWell not in my experience Newgene, maybe I'm just not in the right spaces.
>The whole high schoolers waning to off themselves over their first break up is exaggerated I've known a few girls who had their loser ex do it to spite them.
>Most people would want to off themselves if they’re behind on rent and lost their job especially in a bad job market.I know a lot of people who faced way more adversity than you could possibly imagine. Look how some of the most well-off countries have some of the highest suicide rates in the world.
>>809071>I hear people like you say shit like this as if though it’s easy to live the way you want with zero fucks without consequences Never said anything was easy.
>“Like dude none of this matters just let yourself go man” like some semi-bohemian loser who has no real responsibilities or goals to achieve in life.People with responsibilities tend to not kill themselves because they have people that count on them. Maybe there's your solution, go get some responsibilities.
>>809074>Go tell that to the people on the sex and relationship threads whom are all pas threat twenties whining about missed opportunities for love. I’m not that guy.I always keep that thread hidden because it's just a bunch of whiney losers including (you)
>Or better yet tell that to all the people on here who wanna off themselves because they think current year pop culture is too chucked for them because it’s not as cool as it used to be in the “good old days”I don't think that's a thing lmao.
>As for everyone else, the people who talk about wanting to suicide are people like me who realize that not everyone is cut out for prospects. Not everyone who wants to off themselves are obsess with getting laidYou're the only one who mentioned getting laid.
>There’s one anon on here who is unable to land a job despite going on a lot of job interviewsThere's a lot more than one lmao. It's a very common experience right now.
>Some of us actually had attempted college several times, are unable to get better jobs despite our best effortsShit happens.
>I’m sick and tired of people shaming others for wanting to give up, to refuse to play along anymoreThen go fucking do it. Shit or get off the toilet. Like I already said, most of these people that are talking about suicide and etc. online are really just looking to make everyone feel as bad as themselves. There are suicide hotlines you can call, this website isn't that. I tried to give my pitch about why you should go on, but if that isn't working, try seeking some professional help.
>I find it funny that you whine about suicidal anons but there’s no criticism for NEETdom.>Most NEETs or their sympathizers on here are people who don’t wanna work.I don't even know what the fuck this has to do with anything. Kinda seems contrary to your point, you're saying I'm shaming people for giving up but you're saying I'm wrong for not shaming the NEETs who have given up. I don't know why you brought this up at all tbh.
Honestly Newgene, I think something is seriously wrong with you. You don't seem to want to actually discuss here whatever it is you're going through, all you like to do is jump into the middle of any conversation when it hits one of your triggers like this time it was obviously because I mentioned suicidal young people. Youth, young people, children, whatever, you are like guarunteed to pop in and write a whole long fucking screed of gish-galloping.
>>809076>That’s not what everyone wants. That’s only okay for a minority of people.Who cares what you fucking want? Nobody wants to get old either, but they live with it(pun intended)
>>809079>It seems that venting about suicidal ideation is wrong but it’s okay to rant about “normies” and how “society is fake” and “wanting a revolution”This isn't a suicide hotline. I tried to give a positive argument to keep living, but you want to turn it into a debate about why you should kill yourself. Nobody is fucking stopping you dude so it doesn't need to be debated.
>>809081>I know a lot of people who faced way more adversity than you could possibly imagine. Look how some of the most well-off countries have some of the highest suicide rates in the world. That's not really completely true. There's a lot of African countries that have high suicide rates. And the United States tends to have one of the higher rates for a developed country. I think generally more Islamic and Latin American/Caribbean countries have the lowest rates.
>>809081>People with responsibilities tend to not kill themselves because they have people that count on them. Maybe there's your solution, go get some responsibilities. If that’s so, why do so may people run off on their kids to start drinking and brawling?
> Then go fucking do it. Not exactly. That’s more the people who whine about how “society is fake/dark”
> Who cares what you fucking want? Nobody wants to get old either, but they live with it(pun intended)Getting old is biochronological inevitability. That’s out of your control. I’m talking about getting good. Like not wanting to live in minimum wage work for the rest of your life.
I have seen people who do minimum wage work after their thirties. It’s not pretty.
Always needing to worry about when the car breaks down unable to get to work.
Always having to live with broken plumbing and whatnot.
Minimum wage work is not “so what who cares”?
> don't even know what the fuck this has to do with anything. Kinda seems contrary to your point, you're saying I'm shaming people for giving up but you're saying I'm wrong for not shaming the NEETs who have given up. I don't know why you brought this up at all tbh. Those NEETs are willfully lazy people who never wanted to better themselves in the first place. Totally different from people who are stuck in dead end jobs and want more out of life and despite their best efforts aren’t getting any
> You're the only one who mentioned getting laid.Well, I bring it up because that’s a common priority that’s on here a lot.
> Shit happens.I take it you probably have never had to deal with having retake college three or four times? Or had to deal with going weeks without work while stuck in an apartment behind on rent? While everyone else has a steady job?
> There's a lot more than one lmao. It's a very common experience right now.And not everyone has the safety net to help them. Not everyone has the luxury of family and friends letting them live off them for free.
> Never said anything was easy.Just because that may be so doesn’t mean that even the simple things have to be.
Getting a job should not be that hard. And we are talking about even dishwashing jobs. Not even some cushy desk job.
> I know a lot of people who faced way more adversity than you could possibly imagine. Look how some of the most well-off countries have some of the highest suicide rates in the worldYou sure about that? Maybe because suicide isn’t as acknowledged or sympathized as much so a lot of suicides are written off “accidental deaths” or “manslaughter”? Or even because they’re so poor that they’re not counted?
> Honestly Newgene, I think something is seriously wrong with you. You don't seem to want to actually discuss here whatever it is you're going through, all you like to do is jump into the middle of any conversation when it hits one of your triggers like this time it was obviously because I mentioned suicidal young people. Youth, young people, children, whatever, you are like guarunteed to pop in and write a whole long fucking screed of gish-galloping.I could say the same about most of you making threads about some irrelevant off comment that some Breadtuber said. The constant whining about some irrelevant comic artist making another reactionary comic making another inaccurate reference to historical events
Or complaining about some new dramas going on down in 4chan or sharty.
You’re assuming that there’s unlimited time on this earth to get things right and there isn’t. Especially when everyone ages.
This attitude about “so what if you have no prospects? Jut chill man” comes from people who have not had to face constant stagnation.
Would you be willing to say with a straight face when you’re past your prime stuck in some shanty shack out in the elements not even able to find a dishwashing job that “shits not that bad”?
>>809081> People with responsibilities tend to not kill themselves because they have people that count on them. Maybe there's your solution, go get some responsibilities. My sweet summer child
If this were true, we wouldn’t have single moms with a dozen kids living in a shanty shack.
We wouldn’t have fathers who drink themselves to death and beat their kids.
We wouldn’t have people who own dogs and cats suffering from lice, ticks, or rashes or joint problems due to the human not having enough money to pay for the vet
>>809084This.
People on here romanticize the second/third world as some noble savage way of living where everyone is resolute.
>>809084>That's not really completely true. Well notice how I said "some."
>>809085>If that’s so, why do so may people run off on their kids to start drinking and brawling? I don't know anyone who did that. Brawling? Lol.
>Not exactly. That’s more the people who whine about how “society is fake/dark”>Not exactly.Look there are more than one kind of person that have this kind of malignant personality. I think there may be some who are genuinely feeling suicidal or depressed and genuinely want help, but I'm talking about a certain type who do all the things I describe. I've seen these conversations go on until two anons start talking about suicide pacts and shit like that.
>>809085>I have seen people who do minimum wage work after their thirties. It’s not pretty.Lol, the way you say it you make it seem like an absolute outlier. I have a lot of relatives who like work in a warehouse or in the amazon warehouse, cafeteria ladies, or are doing gig delivery. Some of them have houses and /husband/wives and kids even.
>Those NEETs are willfully lazy people who never wanted to better themselves in the first place. Totally different from people who are stuck in dead end jobs and want more out of life and despite their best efforts aren’t getting anyAlright, mane you're getting so defensive and you're such a judgemental person yourself. But anyways this ties back in with what I was saying in the first place, this suicide business, at least the people I've talked to it's always about feeling that you failed whatever goals you had. That's the fucking problem. No I don't respect you more for trying and failing and then going and fucking whining about it.
>I take it you probably have never had to deal with having retake college three or four times? Or had to deal with going weeks without work while stuck in an apartment behind on rent? While everyone else has a steady job?I'm sorry that happened to you.
>>809086>We wouldn’t have fathers who drink themselves to death and beat their kids.My uncle drank himself to death but he didn't have kids. None of my other aunts and uncles with kids did.
>>809087>People on here romanticize the second/third world as some noble savage way of living where everyone is resolute.Dude I have family that live in one of the poorest third world countries on Earth. I'm not romanticizing shit.
Goddamn it Newgene, you are like the craziest motherfucker on here and that's saying something. Like you make me feel crazy whenever I engage with you. I lose the essence of whatever the fuck we were even talking about in the first place. Every single post you are going to bring in like two dozen new fucking tangents. You are never actually making a point, you are just trying to generate more arguments.
So are you suicidal Newgene?
>>802925Maybe that’s what he wants. Kanye West, Donald Trump, Russel Brand,’etc are all people who rely on outrageous quotations for attention.
Cancel culture never touches these men because they’re too “amusing”
If people were to dismiss them as cliche edgelords, not given them the time of day, they would have to live their lives as invisibles.
And that’s what they hate.
>>809088> I don't know anyone who did that. Brawling? Lol.As in beating their wives and kids
>Look there are more than one kind of person that have this kind of malignant personality. I think there may be some who are genuinely feeling suicidal or depressed and genuinely want help, but I'm talking about a certain type who do all the things I describe. I've seen these conversations go on until two anons start talking about suicide pacts and shit like that.Fair point.
> Lol, the way you say it you make it seem like an absolute outlier. I have a lot of relatives who like work in a warehouse or in the amazon warehouse, cafeteria ladies, or are doing gig delivery. Some of them have houses and /husband/wives and kids even. Those people are probably retired from skilled labor. Or they have some disability checks to help them out. Or in the case of cafeteria ladies, they work for the school district. And those are county jobs which means job security and pension funds after fifteen years.
The kind I’m talking about are those who never got good and are still doing those kind of jobs.
> My uncle drank himself to death but he didn't have kids. None of my other aunts and uncles with kids did. Those are smart people. Usually alcoholism is taken so lightly, that it’s only taken care of after an umpteenth trip to the hospital or police station.
One of my neighbors was an elderly lady with a middle aged son who was a drinker. One night he accidentally caused the house to burn down because he was smoking a cigarette in bed but was also too drunk to be awake.
He died in the house fire.
I meet people who are drinkers and have been doing so when they had kids and they had bad tempers to the point where the kids had to be moved elsewhere
> Dude I have family that live in one of the poorest third world countries on Earth. I'm not romanticizing shitWhich country?
>>809089> Goddamn it Newgene, you are like the craziest motherfucker on here and that's saying something. Like you make me feel crazy whenever I engage with you. I think you’re exaggerating. Maybe a bit loopy but to say I’m the craziest? When we have people on here hailing from 4chan and still engage with that cesspool?
I lose the essence of whatever the fuck we were even talking about in the first place. Every single post you are going to bring in like two dozen new fucking tangents. You are never actually making a point, you are just trying to generate more arguments.
Explain how I do that? You complain about me hyper focused on one topic and then you say I go off on tangents? Pick one.
>So are you suicidal Newgene?I have been for a while. Not emo type like cutting wrists though.
>>809093>I think you’re exaggerating. Maybe a bit loopy but to say I’m the craziest? When we have people on here hailing from 4chan and still engage with that cesspool?Yeah ok I am exaggerating. I engage with you because you make sense half the time or maybe you are making decent points but you go on so many tangents.
>Explain how I do that? You complain about me hyper focused on one topic and then you say I go off on tangents? Pick one.You often like to divert topics into your specific ones you like to talk about but don't worry about it. I don't mean to be so hard on you.
>>809092>Those people are probably retired from skilled labor. Or they have some disability checks to help them out. Or in the case of cafeteria ladies, they work for the school district. And those are county jobs which means job security and pension funds after fifteen years. No, they've never worked a better or much better jobs than those. No they're not on welfare. I thought you would've gone another direction about the cost of living which would be a fair point. My neighbor worked at a hardware store mixing paint his whole life tmk and he was also a Scientologist so he was probably tithing away a huge portion of what little money he made. He bought his house in the 80s for $54k Redfin gives a price estimate now for $868k and Zillow for $764k The rent Zestimate says: $3,331/mo which obviously nobody working a minimum wage job could afford today. Yeah we're all really fucking shafted on the cost of living.
>One of my neighbors was an elderly lady with a middle aged son who was a drinker. One night he accidentally caused the house to burn down because he was smoking a cigarette in bed but was also too drunk to be awake.I've heard a number of stories of people starting house fires from smoking in bed.
>I meet people who are drinkers and have been doing so when they had kids and they had bad tempers to the point where the kids had to be moved elsewhereI grew up down the street from a "orphanage" kinda for kids who were taken away from their parents. Don't think there's been any stories of child or spousal abuse in my family. I have some aunts and uncles that don't drink at all because of the Christian thing. My mom doesn't drink because she was raised Christian in a church that doesn't drink. My father sometimes caused problems getting a bit tipsy. Alcohol is really an evil drug, but I'm drinking right now so…. Definitely got to let the anger go before you let yourself get inebriated otherwise it'll make you do some crazy shit. It's such a crazy drug, you'll do and say things and not even remember them in a few hours lol.
>Which country?I don't want to say the one because I don't really like building an identity on this website. It's in the bottom 50 on this list:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)_per_capitabut it's behind a lot of Europe and the rest of the first world on this list:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_suicide_rateBut as you say, the statistics can be incomplete.
>I have been for a while. Not emo type like cutting wrists though.I'm sorry to hear that. If you want to talk about it go ahead, I'll try to be nice.
>>809094Whoever put that list together on Wikipedia on suicides did a bad job at it. I know it wasn't you but they didn't seem to order it correctly.
>>809108https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/suicide-rate-by-countryHere's a better one. It puts them in order. Palestine has the lowest suicide rate apparently.
>>809108You're right, what the hell is it even ordered by, by default. Didn't notice but what I said still holds true, the country I was talking about actually moved further down the list.
>>809109You can click on the rows at the top to change the ordering on wikipedia. But who knows if the stats are really true or not but it's what the stats say.
Do you guys think eating the skin of a peach is gross? My mother seems to think it's gross so she'll always take the skin off. Peach fuzz does bother my skin sometimes but as far as I know it's never bothered me when eating a peach. Peaches are my favorite fruit and I think I do have allegories because everyone once in a while I get attacks of runny nose and sneezing but I'm never sure what brings it on. I doubt it's peaches though. I also like how peaches look like butts.
>>809182>allegories ah, yes. the peach is itself an allegory for the plight of the proletariat; rough and fuzzy on the outside, after having been yoked to the plough of industry for the entirety of his life, but sweet and juicy on the inside, the true vintage soul and spirit of man, who is kindred to nature and the cosmos, and who is the envy of every classically trained, prim and proper, cultured bourgeoisie gentleman, whose resources could not bequeath him with the amber glow of humanity that arises out of the nobility of self-sacrifice for a worthy cause that is greater than oneself; the upholding of a socialist-nation-state.
>>809182Some fruits have irritants on their skin to counteract being eaten before ripening.
Some fruits are plain old poisonous before ripening.
Got a call from a place I send my CV, they told me they wont give me a position I applied for, but they have a shitty customer service job opening for me. I agreed to an interview out of desperation, I need money, but I cant fucking do this, I cant get another dead-end job that has fuck all to do with my degree, if I do I wont ever have a real career and Im fucking dead.
Also got invited for another interview for a shitty night shift job, that I however would like to get just because it would look better on my CV and potentially leave me time for further job search. However I am currently visiting my parents, and they sent the email to me today, interview is to be tomorrow, I requested different date but they still havent answered.
I hate this. I hate myself, I hate being a mentally ill freak that wasted every opportunity of getting his life together.
>>809221What is your degree?
>>809232You can be a teacher and then you will need only two roommates to afford rent.
>>809232Why did you do pursue psychology for a degree?
hi guys
>>809232Can't you just manipulate people into giving you jobs?
>>809233I am applying (among other things) for low level social work related positions that dont require any degree at all, but still failing at getting employed. Once I get employed I am signing up for additional courses and trainings, crisis intervention, therapy, but those can take years to complete, I need stable income first.
I dont know what to do, I dont want what I want to do. Something research related would be nice, but thats too competitive for anyone to hire failure like me.
>>809235I dont remember. I was a fuckup dropout desperately searching for something. I do read psychology and sociology literature in my free time, so its not like I have no interest in the field, but as a headcase myself it is hard getting people to give you a job. Child psychologist seems to have some demand, but they are not letting freak like me near kids, and I would like to professionally orient myself towards adults. Social issues, employenmet, homelessness, stuff like that. Pity I didnt study social work instead, those are highly in demand.
>>809237I cant do anything at all.
Ever since i was thrown into the schizo hole im struggling to see myself as a real adult human with rights. I function. I work. I will soon be off medication. Everything works well. But i still feel like i have been permanently placed into the "crazy guy whose opinions dont matter category"
I genuinely wish i went to a normal prison at least people would take me more seriously.
>>809240>Child psychologist seems to have some demand, but they are not letting freak like me near kids, and I would like to professionally orient myself towards adults. Social issues, employenmet, homelessness, stuff like that.Kids suffer from poverty, racismand homelessness as well. Kids aren’t aren’t all sheltered/ignorant of these things.
>Pity I didnt study social work instead, those are highly in demand. You can always work at homeless shelters, alternative schools, orphanages and the like.
>>809612At least adults are given more personhood in correctional facilities compared to juveniles.
Juvenile correctional facilities are worse.
>>809240>I am applying (among other things) for low level social work related positions that dont require any degree at all, but still failing at getting employed. I seriously think we should have career training camps where people live off the land while being taught technical skills without the hassle that typical colleges bring.
Kinda like a retreat of sorts
>>809237That shit doesn’t work anymore.
>>809646Thats what im saying. The criminally insane are deemed "not responsible" "weak minded" and "lost" and when locked up the are "commited" not locked up and they are "treated" and not punishment. Its extremely patronizing language and when someone thinks of the insanity defense they thing of it as if you are "getting off easy" and getting to enjoy a cushy hospital stay even though that couldnt be further from reality. People have no idea what an being deemed not guilty by reason of insanity actually entails and what those places are like on the inside.
>>809094>I have some aunts and uncles that don't drink at all because of the Christian thing. My mom doesn't drink because she was raised Christian in a church that doesn't drink. You really must be from a foreign country because here in North America, even though most people are Christians, alcohol is treated like secondary soda.
Everyone drinks, man, woman, and teen.
My parents are from the Caribbean and the church ladies there don’t drink, which explains why they can look so good for their age past their thirties.
>My father sometimes caused problems getting a bit tipsy. Alcohol is really an evil drug, but I'm drinking right now so…. Definitely got to let the anger go before you let yourself get inebriated otherwise it'll make you do some crazy shit. It's such a crazy drug, you'll do and say things and not even remember them in a few hours lol.Yet, marijuana is treated like a scourge.
Alcohol is the only drug in the world that’s acceptable in the same sociophysical spaces as children. Granted that they’re kept in cabinets out of sight, but the fact is it’s still allowed to be stored in family settings
If someone were to say they keep mollies and weed locked away in a jar in their closet while having kids, people would riot.
Alcoholics are the most over-sympathized type of drug addict.
The only drug that’s allowed to be offered to it’s recovering victims
When was the last time you heard of family and friends offering crack towards a recovering basehead? Without being being seen as irresponsible?
>>809651Yep. And the people whom are allowed to work at those facilities have a track record of raping/drugging/assaulting minors, elderly, and mentally ill
>>809661Evangelicals also say that cheating is wrong yet a lot of them are often caught with extramarital partners that often younger than their spouse
Evangelicals preach a lot of things but that doesn’t mean theyre sincere.
I dont take their word very seriously
>>809659You cant even begin to imagine the sgit that goes on in there theres a lot of inmate on inmate rape too and it gets covered up. You got armed guards, commissary, bars on windows and barbed wire, yet people think of that shit as "treatment" and being "taken care of". Its infantilizing to those that had to go through that.
I don't think my mothers ever drank alcohol. She seemed very against while I was growing up. My father would drink at parties or buy a couple tall boys on a Friday or Saturday and drink after work. He stopped drinking in his mid 50s and hasn't drank since. I never drank and we rarely had alcohol in the house. Maybe that's why I look relatively young for my age. I'm 42 but I think I could pass for early or mid 20s. Although I am going gray but it's over a decade that gray hairs started appearing so it may be very gradual.
>>809612>Ever since i was thrown into the schizo hole im struggling to see myself as a real adult human with rights. >But i still feel like i have been permanently placed into the "crazy guy whose opinions dont matter category">I genuinely wish i went to a normal prison at least people would take me more seriously.I know what you mean anon. It's crazy that people think that experience is actually going to help anyone. I had the same feeling as you like I've been put into another category of citizenry for life. Actually I should've gotten SSI disability payments, from what some other people told me, it should've been no problem since I was involuntarily committed, but I guess I was too proud and that feels like I would be submitting to their judgement of me.
>>809669I've been to jail too, and let me tell you there is way less security in the "lockdown" units(at least vs. the times I was in jail.) They don't even have fucking doors on the rooms. Dudes can just run up on you anywhere anytime without anyone even seeing. Just sneak up into your room while you're sleeping at night.
>>809670>Maybe that's why I look relatively young for my age. I'm 42 but I think I could pass for early or mid 20s. Although I am going gray but it's over a decade that gray hairs started appearing so it may be very gradual.Maybe it’s also the fact that people use NW Europeans as the physiognomic standard for aging?
>>809672This is beyond involuntary commitment this is straight up a forensic unit within the prison complex that is for those found not guilty by reason of insanity. Its also in eastern europe on top of everything. When people imagine those places they imagine cushy american psych wards where you go after a suicide attempt for a month. This place is filled with people with multiple bodies to their name and is crawling with fleas and rats. Prison in all but name and no segregation between "patients". A guy whos in for stealing a bike sleeps in the same room as the guy who murdered his parents and raped their corpses.
>>809677I was in a lockdown unit which had a lot of prison veterans who were using the insanity thing to get out of prison or whatever. Yours sounds worse though.
>This place is filled with people with multiple bodies to their name and is crawling with fleas and rats. No rats but there was black mold all over the walls.
>A guy whos in for stealing a bike sleeps in the same room as the guy who murdered his parents and raped their corpses.Similar kind of disparities. I think it was mostly guys who were put in there for something violent but there were like a couple guys in there for suicidal things. So you have some real quiet sullen dudes mixed in with street fighting tweakers.
>>809677>>809682
>A guy whos in for stealing a bike sleeps in the same room as the guy who murdered his parents and raped their corpses.
>Similar kind of disparities. I think it was mostly guys who were put in there for something violent but there were like a couple guys in there for suicidal things. So you have some real quiet sullen dudes mixed in with street fighting tweakers. This is the one thing about prisons that Inhate first and foremost.
All crimes are treated as EXACTLY THE SAME!!!!
Which means that a petty thief with a moral conscience can be influenced by an actual degenerate who has tasted children and dead bodies.
Lads, Kofola is better than Coca-Cola. There, I said it.
Also, people who take photos of every dish they get in restaurants should be re-educated. It's annoying when you can't eat just because someone wants to photograph your food.
>>809696I thought foodies are only photographing their own dishes
Also what is Kofola?
The better comparison would be homemade fruit juice, like those street vendors that blend actual produce into a delicious shake
>>809902Sorry anon, maybe you can see if you can find a reseller.
Or, maybe you could email the organisers and ask if you can come still if you volunteer to set up/break down or whatever. Maybe a slim chance but worth a try right
>>809905Ill be keeping an eye on ticketswap. Right now there is a lot more demand than supply, but someone is bound to get sixk like a day before, right?
>>809902What kind of festival?
>>809911Music. Psy. And before someone points out I dont seem to enjoy myself much on those, I dont enjoy myself anywhere.
And this one actually seems more my style, the lineup leans dark/industrial.
every time I want to exercise, I experience this reticence, like something's holding me back from just fucking doing it, and I don't know why.
how the fuck do I deal with that shit? most of the time, once I start, I end up finishing no problem, but it's hard to overcome the initial hurdle of this hesitance that gives way to procrastination. sometimes, I'll start no problem, but then want to stop mid-way through, and I just don't understand why I can't be like other people who seem to just have the discipline to make themselves do it without much resistance.
(maybe other people do experience this reluctance too and have effective ways of dealing with it, so I defer to you)
>>809966SLOPPER NO SLOPPING.
>>809977The slop will continue until morale improves.

I hate lumpeuyghurs
>>810545that dude has spent a whole minute and a half trying and failing to put on his shirt KURVA
Library closed entire week, so I probably wont get anything done, just waste my time fucking around on the internet. Makes the fact I didnt buy that festival ticket sting even worse, I have nothing else to do anyway!
One job interview tomorrow, another day after. Tomorrow is for some religious charity, hopefully they will be tactful enough to not bring up topic of faith.
>>810883Nothing, just long journey, long wait for transfer between trains, left in the morning, arrived in the evening.
>>810739The joke is that he is trying to put on pants.
>>809961What works for me is mixing it with some other pleasant activity. Like listening to audiobook or podcast while working out, or going for a run to a pastry shop across the city to buy a small treat. Also presence of pretty women helps, I always try extra hard when they are around, would feel embarrassed if for example they see me leave gym after mere 20 minutes (yes I do realise they arent paying attention to me, doesnt make a difference).
>>811485Sad but dont give up. Plenty of people have to go through multiple interviews before landing a job.
>>811721My chemicals are consistently balanced at a level of crushing misery.
>>811755are you eating healthy and exercising and socializing and shit?
>>811485>Got remark on my overeducatio nand on being long-term unemployedWHY DO THESE ASSHOLE COMPANIES EVEN CARE
and then assholes have the gall to tell you that NEETs just want to leech off society. NO BITCH SOCIETY SUCKS ASS AND DOESN'T WANT TO FUCKING LET ME WORK AND MAKE MONEY TO HAVE A MEANINGFUL LIFE.
>>811761I think they don't really want to hire anybody unless you really eat their shit or something. I think job creators really see a job like a golden chalice that you need to be ever grateful that you even have one as opposed to it just being something that's necessary just to live in a society. And then when you don't have one they'll always gaslight about how easy it is to have and keep a job.
>>811762This.
>>811761Also this.
Older people love to cry about "youngsters don't wanna work anymore" yet these same mofos are also struggling to stay afloat themselves, crying about how society doesn't care about the elderly because nobody is hiring for them
>>811761Because it means you're not desperate enough/already accustomed to 5+ years of non stop work.
They also dislike if you constantly change companies, because it either mean you get fired or you have no "loyalty"
I just can't stop arguing with the schizo juche poster on leftypol, whenever I see his easy recognizable posts I just have to start arguing with him
>>811866This parody sounds more sad than the original
>>779711I genuinely might be going schizo, everytime i go outside my cranium is pestered with advertisements. Everything requires me being treated like complete cattle. I walk the streets trying to enjoy the city only for me to see ad after ad after ad. Be they obvious or just a logo wherever the fuck the particular corpo wants it to be. In nature I find some peace, but even that is interrupted by the suburban hellscapes and the constantly worsening climate. The new normal is that there are entire weeks where hiking is not possible due to the fact it is dangerous(not uncomfortable) to go out into nature. More and more sandy desert, less and less forests.
I cannot go into shopping centers without getting nauseous from the amount of slop that is everywhere. The product has gone from being a thing to being a promise, which of course is just a pornographic dream of whatever image the corpo wants to sell.
I try and use the web, personal stuff, banking, you know? The type of stuff that should've become much better to use with the advent of the web. Only for google to constantly rape my eyes with reminders that I should add X, add Y, add MFA which is already there, but now they want an email too. I just want to use one secure password for the service, why the fuck do I need to have multiple fail safes just because the requirements for a strong password are comically underwhelming.
I try to use my bank, only for it to require me to use my login password after I already logged in just to view some info. Any kind of usage of anything just seems so alien to me. I already have an awful relationship with having any meaningful emotional attachment, and now that too is going away little by little.
I look at people too, and they just seem like cattle to me, majority at least. And not in a way that is "oh man Im such a cool as fucking commie them libs are stopid sheeple", but more so "what the fuck are you do you mean kobe" way. How can people actually accept this? In a casual manner where every single service that surrounds them is both shit to use and shit to the user.
I am lonely, I want to cry because I simply cannot attach myself to anything. Due to my constant moving I have never formed meaningful relationships, I dont have an org, and in the future half decade Im unlikely to have the chance to participate in one. I do read theory, and I support anyone in organizing, be they even Marxist-Trotskyist-Maoist or whatever the fuck. But I am outside, not in the circle.
My enjoyment of life has diminished so much that I practically do not know when was the last time I was actually happy. Not just enjoying the moment or giggling, but actually joyous. Nowadays I ponder that if anyone close to me dies, I might pretend to cry, but not truly be sad. I imagine my loved ones getting absolutely obliterated in front of me, but except for shock there are no emotions. I just want to feel things, not to just enjoy or savour, but to feel. To be sad, happy, and everything inbetween. To have some kind of attachment without it feeling artificial or like rape.
>>811950Take your bicycle
>>812257The criticism about advertising and MFA for banking is justified but everything else sounds like cliche whining about “it’s not cool like it used to be”
>>813444If you don't get the job the company has no reason to waste their time letting you know. Just try not to think about it once you submit something or do an interview, you can't impact what they decide.

>>813350 >>813445But these were a non-profit organisations, I just expected a little more humanity from them. Woldnt think of it twice if these were standard corporate jobs, but here not even sending a rejection email? I just cant shake a feeling I did something wrong.
>>813448Non profits can be just as bad as corpo jobs or worse. They take advantage of people willing to break their backs for a social good, and use them up and spit them out (not all, but many).
You shouldn't expect any special humanity from them, they are still staffed by the same kind of evil HR people as other jobs
>>813448Also I'm sure they didn't intentionally not send an email just to fuck with you, they just didn't get round to it, or forgot or whatever, it's not about you

>>813460This. I’m fact I hear a lot of NPOs have the bosses pocketing the money
3 years ago, after collage, I moved to a new place in hopes of finding employnment in my field. Failed, got stuck in a dead end shit job for two years, left to find something better, and now I am almost a year unemployed. Over time I just kept lowering and lowering my requirements, and it doesnt matter, nobody is hiring me. My saving are finally running dry. I do t know what to do. I wish I didnt have parents so I could just kill myself.
Ill have to make a fake CV, get rid of my degree from it, make some warehouse job up instead, so I can get hired for some manual labour, if that. I wish I could at least find something part time, but those are all taken by students.
3 years of my life wasted, life savings gone, and all I achieved is becoming unemployable. I am thinking of moving back to my parents but what would I do there? I cant find job in a region with lowest unemplyment in a country, in my rural village Ill be fucked forever.
>>814017time to leave the country, for better pastures.
Losing my fucking mind.
>>814017Whose the handsome hunk in the pic you posted? And what did you study for in college?
Also, part time work is taken by students because they have to pay their way

Today while job searching I got a panic attack, hyperventilating, started crying. I see no way out. Why do other people manage to do fine and I fail at everything?
I'm 28 years old and have never cooked anything more complex than a hamburger. I basically subsist off Doordash and Soylent. I'm surprised I made it so far tbh.

>>814086>Psychology. I already wrote about it here, this whole thread is littered by my blogposts. Ahhh. No offense but, why did you expect any job openings for that degree? They’re not as in demand as for engineering or medicine.
>Today while job searching I got a panic attack, hyperventilating, started crying. I see no way out. Why do other people manage to do fine and I fail at everything? There’s always gonna be a minority of people that have everything flop for them no matter what they do.
>>814181>Ahhh. No offense but, why did you expect any job openings for that degree? Why wouldnt I, other people managed it. I thought I could too.

>>815003the problem is that the whole web sucks nowadays. sponsors and big tech have ruined every facet of what made it special and so unique. there's no more creativity, no more human interaction (even back a decade ago most of internet traffic was bots, if anything you're arguing with them daily today), no strive for anything that doesn't give you any sort of profit, no matter how minimal it is. going online and making things used to be a hobby, now its just soulless garbage and get rich quick schemes. capitalism ruining everything that's fun.
>>815035yes very true and I have nothing to add other than I didn't want to circlejerk and thus didn't want to reply but also I felt compelled to give you a response nevertheless.
I once had a coworker, over 10 years ago now, who had told me that for $14,000 I could help get one of his female cousins cross over the border from Mexico. Now obviously he mentioned that as a means to acquire myself a woman but I wondered how that would work out? I mean I lived and continue to live with my parents and what if she ended up not liking me? I suppose in a situation like that if you lay down the cash you've bought most of her affection for you and considering her situation she would've just accepted at least for a bit until she could get her life in order and she decided to leave me. Hmm I wonder?
lol I'm starting to have anxiety attacks at the prospect of the work day, it's so pathetic. i can barely stand working any more and my productivity goes down every day
worst part is that if I get fired or quit nothing terrible will happen, I have a roof and family, but I am not sure I'd ever recover from that setback, I lucked out majorly into this current job, where I can still get stuff done despite being completely dysfunctional, but now even that is slipping away…
This thread is now closed
