I would ask what you guys think of religion, transcendence or God in general, but I will put it in this way:
You step into an empty mosque, what would you do?
What exactly would you think? What is your reaction when you enter a place that is sacred to many people and where it is believed to be a place to worship God?
I wanna know what passes through other people's minds when they are put in this situation.

void is the opposite of something, positive and negative, hot and cold
God in this case is beyond movement or dialectical thinking, you are saying something like "God is movement" and that is what parmenides said and marx worked upon something similar
but god is not movement, there is something beyond movement and we can call this the One.
>>806732>but god is not movement, there is something beyond movement and we can call this the One.tell me what you think of this post:
>>806723 >>806732there is nothing to fix to you are just asserting shit for which you have no evidence and which you assert is necessary without demonstrating why
>>806723>>806733>>806734oneness is irrefutable because the premise of any concept, thought and idea is the law of identity, which is based on oneness.
we live in oneness, we juzt do no compreehends all the depths of it, be we can say for sure that all is one
some people struggle with it but I think they have problem with basic stuff
accept there is a reality and that reality where we live is based on a singularity, this is: everything exists in one single stuff
we cannot think outside of it
this is the starting point of any thought or life experience
after you accept this oneness of reality exists, you go on and expand your thoughts, because God is real but he does not reveal itself entirely to everyone
>>806735literally no no its not you are just claiming its the case I can infact think outside of oneness i have this entire time
>>806736>>806737ok, you win
there is no singularity in the universe
reality actually does not exist, there is no reality at all
you don't even exist, we are not talking at all
God is not real, there is no source of reality, no light, nothing, even nothing does not exist
>>806738it didn't work
I am still here
I guess not everything changes :)
>>806738I never said it doesn't exist i said there is no intrinsic identity or essence behind anything that isnt the same statement retard
Can you provide evidence of God? No? That's what I thought.
When I enter a 'holy' place I don't feel anything. What the fuck are you supposed to feel? You're making an is-ought leap here dumbass.
The only thing that is one is the world, which is just matter in different configurations, movement and interaction. This is the monist conception of history. You have read Plekhanov, right?
>>806742then it isnt one is it if its all parts that are also infinitely parts themselves can we even say they make a recognizable whole when we can change boundaries around to change what we consider the parts to be and thus what we consider the "whole"
>>806740the most basic human experience should be this one:
"i know i exist, i know i did not create myself, something else did, this something transcends me"
things change, something does not change, that something is more important than what changes
this oneness is God
>>806741>>806742>>806743to me, reality is the proof God exists
I like using the word "reality" because it is more powerful and wider than just "world" or "universe"
reality is what was, is and is possible to be. it is what we know and what we do not know.
it is material and abstract thoughts, but also feelings and ideas
the existence of it is the proof of God in my conception because all things have a source and that source is better than what derives from it
God is real.
>>806744I only exist in a sense that there is a collection of parts we can conventionally call me but i dont think i exist intrinsically the YOU that was 5 years old is not the same person in any capacity as "you" are now you just have a memory stream so you think of yourself as the same
>>806744also again the only thing that created us is our parents
>>806747>>806746do not live like a worm
take the light I am giving you and do something better with it
I am going to sleep now
>>806748You just made the light up in your head and thought it to be important
>>806659>What exactly would you think?Probably about the waste of time and resources people spend worshipping imaginary creatures.
>>806659What would I do?… Idk, nothing, maybe I would have a quick look around, then leave.
Unless Im trespassing I'd look around and enjoy the beautiful design. Religion inspired a lot of war and suffering but also the best art and architecture of the last millennia. Hopefully we would finally get over it though, and start putting humanity first instead of some imaginary alien overlord.
>>806664>Anyone is allowed to enter a mosque. Most mosques are open to the public, however no, the prayer spaces explicitly bans non-Muslims from access. I have been to like up to ten Mosques in ny my entire life on several continents and this has always been the case. Why are you lying?
Religion as an anthropological phenomenon arises after settling, where surplus is sacrificed to spirits by administration of priests. There is no such thing as religion without sacrifice. Sacrifice is commonly understood to be a reciprocal exchange of one's present goods for future blessings, and so sacrifice without reward is seen as irrational; devotion is thus a matter of self-interest. Material blessings are sublimed as heavenly treasures, and so the work of faith is said to yield utmost future rewards. Thus, there can be no selfless faith, and the ideal reward is seen as equivalent exchange. With generalised commodity production, a "heaven on earth" is granted by the principle of faith in an equivalence between what is given and what is received. Socialists equally attempt to argue that their system is fairer upon the same selfish principle. Thus, religion is only a fantasy of justice, between what is given and taken - it then appeals mostly to those who have faced injustice, which can also lead to perverse fantasies of retribution, like eternal punishment.
>>806745God is real.
But God existed before religion.
i'd probably be amazed if its an old ass mosque, like hundreds of years old. maybe id talk to the people there, idk if you can talk or obly pray tho
Make it shine in the night ifykwiw
The thread that exposed the idealism of the leftypol.org userbase.
good in fictional stories and as loreslop for video games. cringe irl
The weed poster is using the same anthropomorphic metaphorisms for God. Claiming God to be personal but beyond human comprehension.
Just recycled Abrahamic nonsense as usual
>>806735anon I am very sad you did not quote or respond directly to anything said in this post:
>>806723 and instead lumped it together with other posts I did not make like
>>806734 The feeling of awe you get from entering a house of worship isn't supernatural or some kind of accident, it's a deliberate feat of architectural and interior design. Basically psychological manipulation. They had thousands of years to perfect it. Same with the music. It's all made to invoke certain feelings that we call "religion".
If you have to describe God with recursive metaphorism, then He/She/It doesn’t exist.
>>806723Fucking this thank you
I cannot believe that there are posters on here that find curiosity and profundity in science rather than mysticism
It’s so sad that divination is plaguing even the agnostic and secular folk.
Everything is always about “energy” and “oneness” or whatever.
Yet these same people have no in learning about nature.

Maybe it’s because I don’t have a good handle, but mechanical pencils never last long for me. In terms of the writing lead

>>811282It's like shoes, you buy the shitty ones because they're cheaper and you have to change them every 6 months, or you shell out 4 times the price and never change them in 5 years
>>807189>The thread that exposed the idealism of the leftypol.org userbase.Metaphysical speculation isn't really "idealism."
Idealism is something else and comes in two strengths. Strong idealism is the belief that nothing exists objectively outside of the human mind. It's The same as nihilism, or solipsism.
Weak idealism is the idea that we can know nothing with certainly outside the human mind, so for all intents and purposes, for making claims about the world, it's the same as "strong" idealism.
A metaphysical thinker would argue we might not be able to know reality outside of the mind directly, but we can work out things about it.
Metaphysics is "realist", in the sense that it holds that there is a reality outside the human mind. For example, there is Form and Matter, which in essence aren't physical things, but which make up physical things. Inspiring architecture for example would still have Form and Matter if there weren't any humans left on Earth to think about them.
>>811489Metaphysical speculation tends to treat the universe as being influenced by someone’s mind
>>811281I’m talking about how the writing lead breaks easily
Honestly I don't understand how people can be religious. I was raised in an atheist family and my parents made me not go to the religion classes when I was young. I've read the bible and I don't get why someone would think it is holy. Well, I do, because religion is entirely a social thing and people just want to fit in with their society. Also there are times when people are told by religious grifter scum that their own creativity or their "dreamer" self is actually god speaking to them. When they turn their life around they think god did it for them and they are worthless, but really they are the ones who fixed themselves, and religion is just telling them they didn't do what they did do.
So yeah, I would never be able to understand religion other than like animism or spirituality (which I am also against) because I was raised an atheist in a mostly atheist society. Religion is a form of class rule and is entirely a social thing, when people say it is personal they are lying, even if they believe it themselves.
I like what Albania did with religion, banning it in even personal life. I also like the attitude towards spirituality during the GPCR. Religion must be wiped out. Though that doesn't mean you should be horrible to religious people, especially while socialists are weak.
>>806663That's a moldy ass meme comrade.
