sorry I need to vent a bit, not necessarily looking for advice but whatever.
so my gf of +11 years has been on antidepressants for about 6 months and she got leave from the doctor so she has been home this entire time.
And honestly, it's really to starting to piss me the fuck off. It's been months and she is always at home, she might as well be part of the decoration. Not to forget I was holding her crying daily more then a year before that. I've been supportive all the time, shut my mouth and went to my shit job everyday, paying for everything, taking care of the house, garden and doggo.
I get it's hard for her, I get that it's on doctor recommandation, I really want to see her better but I just can't anymore, I'm just supposed to fucking plow through every day and doing everything I can to help her, but it's too much, nothing is changing the situation despite her medication clearly working. The fall semester starts in two weeks, so I am starting to get really anxious about what I should say to the cute girl from the theatre class when I run into her at the university coffee shop. Right now I am planning to ask her “hi, how was your summer” and hope she says something substantive. If she doesn’t say much then I will elaborate on what I “did”, though I really did not do that much at all because I was so depressed that I could not be around her or at least text her. Then I will ask her if she did anything interesting and hope that she electorates and I can have a real conversation with her about that. I was really freaked out when this happened thinking she would complain to the professor but she seemed completely unaffected by it and probably understood that I am an idiot who didn’t understand the instructions.
