We anons humbly request Alunya artwork from drawfriends
As Alunya art would be for all leftyanons' sake & .org
Especially from new drawfriends
>>720Done, although I wanted to add some shading.
The background is pretty basic, feel free to edit it.
I'll post a transparent version and videos of the process later.
>>722Saved, and well done!
It's so nice to see a new style around .org.
Hopefully more talented artists /draw/ Alunya.
>>725>>723>>724I'm glad you guys like it, here's a transparent version with and without the watercolor border effect; there was a missing line on the right boot which is now corrected. I'm posting a timelapse in 2 parts as well. I'd say it took about 2 hours to make this piece, which might be pretty slow and why I don't draw more often. I used a different method of coloring this time (usually the lineart goes first).
>I think maybe the background is too bright.Yeah I think so too, but also think that's cool, so I kept it.
Maybe I'll draw Tania next since there seems to be a lack of Tania art and she keeps being requested too.
>>726That was cool.
>ll. I'd say it took about 2 hours to make this piece, which might be pretty slow and why I don't draw more often.Perhaps do something like a 10 minute drawing with timer and everything? That way it's less daunting? Idk.
I have no critiques. I love it :)
>>728Yes, I use a tablet. It's a small Wacom Intuos.
>I have a hard time doing such smooth drawings with a mouseI rarely draw with a mouse but when I do, it's pretty hard for me too. It's not impossible, though, to make good art with a mouse in MS paint or using vector graphics. You could also try pixel art.
Though if you have an art program, you should have a Stabilizer option, so I imagine that it could help you get used to drawing even with a mouse.
>>729Yep, gesture drawing generally helps with that too, I think. And thanks :)
>>730lol, cute
>>733>Oekaki.pngO_O
Good job
>>739👀 lookin' good so far
seems to disinterested for that level of feline tail wag
>>739That's a pretty good one!
I have a feeling we'll see that pic in circulation more often.
>>745What worries me is that we're almost halfway through the month already and there's only been like 3 different artists posting their art
>>746hot
>>743I should expect so, considering more than half the images at the start of this thread are mine
>>740>>741>>742>>744Thank you anons
>>740>>747>>746Good eye
>>759Unironically I'd draw more if I had ideas. I might just post my mail address that I use for my lewd-artist accounts so people can mail in suggestions, either that or just in replies to here since the thread's not got much activity anyway. Might also just redraw some of my old drawings. I miss drawing Alunyas and also the rest of the catgirls.
>>758Here, anon, for you
>>762>>761>>767There, she's put down the cigarette
>>763Alunya domming porky?
>>765Filthy, anon, get out of my store
Also adding this other drawing that I think I never posted around of a Street Fighter-inspired Alunya
>>768You're damn good, try giving
>>717 a shot, you'd probably pull it off great.
>>768>Alunya domming porky?I'm not sure anyone wants to see that.
Not with the already prolific Alunya x Porky stuff.
>>769Not sure I'll ever draw RWBY of my own volition again, fussy details and accessories lol
>>770I don't use imageboards much, and especially leftypol's long been hard for me to keep track of, between all the moves and the fact that I'm simply too normie politically to be able to participate in discussions here. So sorry, you've had a dearth of catgirls from me for a few years
>>771Frankly agreed, was just trying to understand anon's suggestion.
>>773Very good, anon, I love to see these used already
Just spent a good while sorting tags on the booru since there was a lot of art by Koba or Catgirl Drawgirl or others tagged as mine
Went looking if I had anything else I hadn't posted and remembered these. Not Alunya, I know, but related enough that I figure it goes in here.
>>603such a cruel fate
>>777the artist hears, I'll get to it
>>778As it happens been wanting to redraw that image of Alunya in classy lingerie I drew 5 years ago, might be fitting
>>776OR here; Sorry, been away, and this is fucking excellent, dude.
>fussy details and accessories lol kek yeah the character designs are pretty ridiculously over-detailed.
>>778 classic meme, long time no see.
>>782Good news
>>780>>789No porky, but hope this is appealing
>>781Very cute, anon. What's she drinking?
>>783Well, that sort of design's common for this sort of aesthetic, game anime design thing.
>>784>>790>>787>>786Is there enough activity for it, though? I feel it'd be better to have a drawthread, and maybe a catgirls thread, somewhere else- on /siberia/ for instance. Maybe ask admins to get Oekaki going there?
>>788It's very cute, and good choices of music. Makes me wish I'd drawn the doodle in layers to make it easier to animate.
>>785Yes, I use that name for boorus sometimes.
>>791this shit will turn me straight wtf
amazing job!!
how long have you been drawing?
>>779>Just spent a good while sorting tags on the booru since there was a lot of art by Koba or Catgirl Drawgirl or others tagged as mineWHAT THE FUCK, I KNEW IT LMAOOOO
My theory to why all that art was mistagged was that you had your personal artist tag in "My Tags" and accidentally applied it to all the art you uploaded, including that of other artists (since all the mistagged pictures were uploaded by you, while paradoxically some of your art didn't have your tag)
>>772god I love this, well done lmao
keep drawing comrades
>>791I want lick her
fur so bad
>>792>>795In a serious sense where I've been training harder at it and drawing as a job, I think about a decade now. Used to always draw though. That's the real trick to improving and enjoying drawing- to always draw, not as a chore, but for fun. It was always genuinely the most fun hobby I have, and while I'm here putting more effort in these doodles, a quick look at the booru should show you most time I spend drawing for fun is just very loose scratchy drawings, cartoonier proportions, not that presentable, but fun, to me- stuff like this.
>>793No, checking the tag history of some of those submissions, it was someone going by "lefty" in 2020, probably trying to organise the booru, who went and added my tag to a bunch of stuff. My guess is whomever it was was well-intentioned but doesn't have the best eye for art styles, hence the mixup- some are understandable, but for instance anything Catgirl Drawgirl does has a very distinct inking that's very different from mine, etc.
>>794Yes please, a happy Alunya is one getting drawn by all anons of all skill levels with a very wide range of ideas
>>795>>796Patrician comrades
>>797draw alunya and
cockshott together
or better yet: do we have a cybernetics catgirl?
>>798We do, Aurora. One of the last comics Drawgirl did was about her, and her design's one of my favourites.
Ignore the age and surname in this, this is just a compilation of drawings I've done of her and the two nudes are from a couple big charts I have of public domain characters (our catgirls, board-tans from 4chan and 8ch, console-tans, etc) naked to use as easy proportion reference when drawing. Maybe I should post the catgirls part of said charts?
Anyway here's the current catgirls list at high res
https://lefty.booru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=17193 though I'm planning to update it today with 4 catgirls I found in the booru when fixing tags, so not posting it directly here.
>>799Isn't she anarcho-transhumanist?
Imo it would be nice to have a cybersocialist one, seeing as this political current and Cockshott is rather popular in leftypol.
>>791Based
>>791There are several art and drawing threads already active on /hobby/ and if /music/ gets its own board, I doubt draw lacks the posting required for its own board.
>>805>Oekaki.png uygha what!? HOW?
I regularly do tagging but I tend to avoid artist tagging because I usually don't know who did what unless I'm very sure about the artist (like Flick, HardKoba etc.)
>>800I wanted to make a cybersocialist
catboy, the earliest and unfinished sketch is in the old /hobby/ thread
does /tech/ have a mascot like /edu/ does?
>>806>uygha what!? HOW? tablet + 200% zoom on desktop + 25~ minutes of patience
>>799Would you happen to have the hi-res version of this image? I found it on the booru but if the hi-res one is on there, it needs tagging, I couldn't find it there.
>>807>ablet + 200% zoom on desktop + 25~ minutes of patienceAh ok, because I can barely do anything using Oekaki on my computer.
>>807>a mascot like /edu/We have a mascot? Are you referring to the pinned anime-grill pic of our sci-hub savior?
And no /tech/ definitely doesn't have an active mascot, go ahead m8!
>>805>picthis makes me wish I could draw ;_;
on the other hand I know math and computers
>>807>spoilera boy is fine too
>>807>does /tech/ have a mascot like /edu/ does?No, I didn't even knew /edu/ had one.
>I wanted to make a cybersocialist catboyPlease go ahead, we would certainly appreciate it, boy or girl (male), whatever you wish them to be.
>>807>>808Give the catboy a cybernetic eye, a la the Borg.
I think there is a anarcho-transhumanist mascot but I don't think /tech/ adopted the character.
There, the four catgirls I found on the booru. Feel free to name them, etc.
>>800>>803>>807>>808>>811>>812>>813>>814I misread the post at a glance as literally just "cyborg catgirl", sorry. I believe it was talked before to make a /cybersoc/ catgirl but I'd leave that to you guys, I don't know nearly enough about this stuff nor even where to start researching to make a design.
We already have a boy catgirl (one of the IRA ones, cross-dressing) and a trans one (Titoist one) so I see no issue with a cute catboy. As for giving /tech/ itself a board-tan, reminder that in such an instance there's no obligation to keep it to making it a catgirl, just like how /edu/'s teacher (if I'm thinking of the right mascot) isn't one.
>>801>>802I like these ones where I was just making up new outfits for the girls
>>805That is a bloody adorable Oekaki that is. Don't worry about the tags, I did it fine, just a couple hours while watching tv.
>>806In such cases, tag as artist_request.
>>807I don't believe I've ever seen that image in a higher-res. Best bet would be asking CatgirlDrawgirl for it if it exists and she has it around, maybe next time I talk with her. No promises, we don't talk regularly.
>>816what the fuck is post-stalinism ?
this sounds like a jreg bit.
>>813Hmm, how can I represent that in his design? Maybe with a lambda symbol. Now, what kind of clothes would he wear?
>>812OK, he'll have a cybernetic eye. I wanted to give him glasses though
>>820I personally don't think the cybernetic eye fits, cybersocialists are not necessarily advocating for transhumanism. Maybe give them a TI or Casio calculator (to allude to cybernetic planning) and
a tartan pattern somewhere in their clothing as a homage to Cockshott, picrel).
>>819>Brezhnev with tits and cat earsah so Brezhnev with cat ears then :^)
>>820a lambda is the go-to symbol yes. it's due to alonzo church and means
to lambda>>822>spoilercould work. old man clothes in general. maybe a tie. glasses.
academics are very hit and miss when it comes to dress sense
>>827I'd been trying to decide between slicked back hair or messy hair, and I think I found my answer.
>>823>old man clothes in generalYes, I like the idea of old man clothes, although I was gonna make him young. And Chilean (because of Cybersyn)
>>816>Post-Stalinism I'm assuming by the eyebrows this is a Brezhnivite catgirl, in which case I declare her Brezhnyevka (Брежнёвка) !
>>805 Also man do I love the way you do lips and faces, it reminds me a bit of Toulouse Lautrec's dancer posters.
Also
>>791 isn't uploaded to the booru, as the holder of the original file you should put the best one there! (the more you share and reshare a file the more errors and extra coding in it, so it'll have a larger file size).
>>832>do I love the way you do lips and faceswhoopsies, I didn't mean to draw the lower lip like that, but I didn't want to erase that either because it looked good.
As for faces, well, I like drawing expressions, (especially smug ones).
>>833>I didn't mean to draw the lower lip like that pic related
>I like drawing expressions <especially smug ones Nice. I'm glad you're making more art again, I hop to start contributing again myself, I jst gotta get my shit together.
>>834>I'm glad you're making more art againOh no, no, I'm not PPDPPL, I'm
>>794 >>805 and
>>726 >>836Hmm, guess you're right.
/draw/ has motivated me to pick up the tablet pen again. And I'm not the only one, which is great.
>>842 (checke'd)
No clue, dude. I think i found by accident when i decided to search for /edu/ in the booru (or maybe in the banner thread),
https://lefty.booru.org/index.php?page=post&s=list&tags=%2Fedu%2F >>846still doesn't eliminate all extra data - original files are best.
>>843 ok then
>>845 YES >>821Surely that'd be the Leninist catgirl? The Stalinist one is specifically modelled after Stalin, and even named after him. Now, you can argue her depiction's not particularly neutral towards Stalinism, but I can only offer my perspective. It seems to me Drawgirl's angle when designing the first batch of girls was moreso based on the general left-of-liberal-but-not-that-radical position of young leftists in the US, especially back in 2015-2016, so from that angle yeah, Stalinism would be a bit of "oooo authoritarian evil woman" etc. From my angle afterwards, I acknowledge that's not ideologically neutral, but consider the following:
It makes for mommy dommy and is therefore good.
>>830Thank you, anon.
>>832How does Leonid turn into a female name? Seems to me would be cuter.
I tend to try and let others upload my stuff on boorus, at least in the immediate sense, if I see after a day or two it's not happened, then I do it. But sure, I'll upload it.
>>833It looks good, do it more
>>838Grace is very cute, I don't believe I've drawn her but I enjoy the art that gets drawn.
>>843Oh, I forgot she was designed by Drawgirl!
>>850Very cute too.
Here, have a couple doodles. Need to push through some commissions, then I'll return here and draw a few more elaborate lewder drawings.
>>853>Leonid turn into a female name? Leona is the closest but it doesn't quite translate properly.
>sure I'll upload itgreat, I'd upload myself but it's such a good pic I thought it'd be best that the original file be uploaded and so preserved.
>>854Well the actual file is circa 4000px by 7000px so at most I'll upload a resized export regardless, not a fan of when boorus have absurdly sized drawings
I thought Leona but yeah it does seem a bit weird. Just that christ, Brezhnyevka is a whopper of w rod, works well as a surname but as a first name I'd prefer something shorter, dunno.
>>855Carnation revolution girl is very nostalgic to me, based on a lot of kid memories of seeing photos and people who'd partaken in the revolution 20 years prior, so glad to see someone like her; and Sankara girl was proof of Bat'ko only having two contributions to this but both being very good (Sankara and Makhno girls). At least pretty sure the Sankara girl was Bat'ko's, might be misremembering.
>>856>file sizeI think that is in the limits of booru file sizes, I've seen bigger.
>boorus have absurdly sized drawingsThat reminds me, I should ask lefty to activat the resize function in the booru.
>Brezhnyevka is a whopper of w rod True, but so is Leonid or Brezhenev XD
>>797"lefty" is the admin account, run by me since August 2020.
I used a script where I could automatically tag images with a tag or replace one tag with another just by opening the image page
(which is why the top 2 accounts in the booru statistics page have tens of thousands of tag edits, all me) so there were a few mixups with artist tags.
>>857>limits of booru file sizesthe limit is much larger than that
>resize functionunfortunately doesn't exist in the software version used by booru.org
one alternative is to right click and view in a new tab
>>858>the limit is much larger than that yeah like I said
>unfortunately doesn't exist in the software version used by booru.org Aren't you using the same softvare that Gelbooru uses? Because they definitely have that function for larger than average images.
>one alternative is to right click and view in a new tab true too.
>>859 I could swear there is one but I can't find one on the booru.
>>853What I meant to say is that generally "Stalinist" is used as a pejorative term by political opponents of Marxist-Leninism, like Trotskyists, with the implication that Marxism-Leninism is an ideological perversion of both Marxism and Leninism by Stalin and his propagandists and that MLs are not the true "heirs" of Lenin. I don't think I have ever seen a significant political org (that is, not terminally online twitter tankies) call themselves "Stalinists" first and foremost instead of simply "Marxist-Leninists", even those that are not afraid of invoking Stalin and his legacy in a positive light. In a sense it would be like changing the description of the leftcom catgirl to "infantile disorder".
Now I get you and having a "catgirlified" Stalin is funny, however I just regret the lack of a proper Marxist-Leninist catgirl because, for better or worse, this was one of the most influential socialist political ideologies of the 20th century and still is, to a certain extent, in some parts of the world.
Anyway, thank you for your OCs, I really love your art-style and I hope there will be more to come.
>>861>Aren't you using the same softvare that Gelbooru uses? Not him but no. Gelbooru uses better software while the user-made boorus use that inferior software we have. Supposedly they're going to update it and that's why they're not allowing booru creation right now.
>>865Stalinist catgirl's "proper" name could be Marxist-Leninist catgirl, although she's commonly known by most of the others as "Stalinist", especially by certain catgirls (like Trotskyist). How's that sound?
>>857>>858I meant size fully as in resolution, I find huge resolutions annoying for digital use- while I draw in massive 600 DPI canvases, it's for the possibility of future print work.
>>860Was pointing it out more for the cockshott cat but a pirate party catgirl is a good idea too
>>865I understand that. My naivetè's showing here, but I don't understand in that instance how Marxism-Leninism isn't represented inherently by the Leninist catgirl? Regardless it's fine to change ideological terminology, I primarily use the character names anyway- as indicated by my "it's good she's based on big bad boogieman of Stalin because it makes for hot fetish fuel", I just frankly am not knowledgeable enough about all these political concepts fairly and unbiasedly, so I just focus on the designs instead.
Point being, I don't think Stalinist cat was meant to be a fair representation from the start, but if you and other anons do decide to make her ML cat instead (and not just have that overlap Lenin cat), go ahead.
Thank you for the praise, I absolutely do want to keep doodling.
>>867Don't worry, we other homosexuals take you non-artistic homosexuals into account when opining on stuff. I do like the suggested dynamic too.
>>868YOU'RE adorable
>>869Been thinking about revisiting the Lada, so sure, I like this idea.
Anyway got reminded of a couple other forgotten catgirl characters- towards the end of PICG Rachel drew a nationalist catboy, and in one of the bunkerchan threads someone drew two "council communist" cats, male and female it seems (and again what I spoke in the first reply popping up- I've no idea what "council communist" even entails and how it's not the same as "syndicalist marxist" etc. I'm sure the distinctions exist, but I'm not well-read enough to know them since instead I spend that time drawing porn of catgirls. Regardless I'll draw these characters too, and post them, tomorrow, so you guys can name them, etc.
I'm also dropping my lewd art twitter account and the gmail associated with it- MrGorby on twitter and gorbygorbachov at gmail. [should we have a perestroika catgirl?] I had the "Mr. Gorbachov tear down this wall" audio clip stuck in my head lol. Whatever suggestions and requests you guys have, whether wholesome or explicit lewd, please mail it in. I can't promise I'll draw everything, hell, I can probably promise I won't, but it'd be helpful anyway, just to have a good stable of ideas to go to if my brain's empty, which it often is.
Lastly since I mentioned revisiting art, here's a redrawn version of my old Alunya valentine card; and I also coloured Icy's drawing of Alunya they posted on twitter
>>826>>831Probably gonna finish that design tonight, I want to make a decent enough drawing to show it to you people
Btw, he's probably gonna be an Andean mountain cat or some other cat species native to South America
>>870>should we have a perestroika catgirl?it would certainly go well with my modest collection of perestroika memes>>870
>Alunya valentine cardsaved!
>>871>Andean mountain catsounds interesting. sending generic encouragement!
>>861>same softvare that Gelbooru usesit's Gelbooru 0.1.11 which is an outdated version and the latest free version
all user made boorus on booru.org use that
meanwhile furry booru and rule34.xxx (run by the site admins) use Gelbooru 0.2
>>891Alunya is flat
>>888> cigaretta🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮
>>870Threw another four cats I got reminded of. As far as I know, this is it, there's no more forgotten political ideology catgirls(and couple boys). This is fairly "scraping the bottom of the barrel" lol but on pure terms of character designs, I do like the addition of a cool afro-wearing character and the council ones.
>>871Please post when you do! Consider this a note of encouragement.
>>872Feel free to conceive a design idea! Even if you can't draw, a simple use of a doll maker or something can convey the concept if needed, or just ms paint scribbles
>>874Memes aside I used to have her work at some vaguely defined factory, in my head. Unsure if I should define it any more, I liked the concept that whatever she made was nonsense, alienation from work taken to its logical extreme. Maybe just lift the joke from Chaplin outright and just have her turn a lever all day or something.
>>875>>876Thank you, anons. Sorry I didn't deliver anything meanwhile, took the time to focus on clearing some more commission backlog. Rent to pay etc
>>877>>881>>888>>899Nice going, I'm enjoying the pose and anatomy. Don't listen to anons, smoking is hot and cool and when in a drawing it doesn't even cause cancer, it's win win win
>>904v cute
torso seems a bit off to me, maybe the oblique area is too long or there's not enough mass around her spine
tail is a lil short
so is the skirt >>904it's cute and a very nice idea. anon
>>905 is giving some good advice too, other than maybe the skirt being too short, harrumph
Also, here, four more doodles of Alunya plus other PICGs. Think I'll try to run the whole gamut of characters, just as basic tests of forcing me to see how she reacts with other characters. For years I've wanted to be able to get some comics done with these characters myself but I never have enough of a handle on them beyond designs, so
>>901>took the time to focus on clearing some more commission backlog. Rent to pay etcsimilar here. have to put research and writing on hold to work on consulting projects
>>904tail is too smol
>>907>>908Thank you, here's four more that also served to test out a new drawing tablet.
>>913RIP OC creation, smothered by need for money

>>937>>938>>939>>940>>941>>942omg thank you so much guys 🥺🥰
>>942 thats weird i always felt like my art style is very derivative of like 2010s cal arts, 50s hannah barbera and scott pilgrim
anyways, heres how its colored so far, obviously not finished yet
>>1535I love it, it looks like a vector or even a 3D model with cel shading
Looks familiar though
>>1541don't have an account. maybe I should get one
>>1542simpetariat
>>1621>>1622Oh cool someone reposted it.
It's the same (base) model, which was pre-rigged with that animation. Made during tests for >>>/games/14035
>>2374>>2375not just the arm but her waist too. where are her organs?
also the knees
>>2375the arms are fine given that it's clearly stylized
>>2384>where are her organsPic rel. If you can't tell by her knees and other aspects, it's stylized
>>2384uh oh dude better not look at this picture of Alunya I just drew
definitely no room for organs here.
>>2396Repulsive abomination.
Why would you do this.
>>2397>Why would you do thisTo make you mad
>>2398 >Thisbasically
>>2395>that's what I was going for *doubt*
>ignore my posting reactionary shit It has nothing to do with Gamergate you boogieman fearing nonce. It's like crying /pol/ every time Pepe appears.
I was slow as promised, but back. Going to do a personal piece next, but still taking suggestions, preferably some catgirl that doesn't have a red and black palette for a change
>>2443I thought drawing some food would be fun so I went with this but with Rodina instead (sorry). Also I got too lazy to render the whole scene.
>>2456Sorry, I spent some time trying to finish the rest of the flag, but it looked really weird since i took some artistic liberty knowing it would be cropped it. :( Here's a transparent version though?
>>2469>>2472very cute! Hopefully we can all make /draw/ more active
hi
i made this
>>943 a few months ago and gave up on it
moved to a new place, been active with the local DSA lately, been motivating to use my talents for good
>>2608This is really good, anon.
Do you have more art?
>>2579alunya catboy????

I'm still hoping somebody uses it to build a 3d desktop environment for GnuLinux.
>>2687desecrating the dead
nice
epic
I like it
>>2693romanovs got off
ed easy
>>2665those look like they wouldn't even fit in my hands
nice
>>2822the second one is really good for an AI
>>2825nice
I drew this because I haven't seen a picture of Alunya browsing leftypol yet
>>2878There seems to be some issues with the eyebrows, but it's really impressive, especially considering it's done with consumer devices. Do you enter or can you enter the artist's style? I'm doing studies/imitations of a specific artist and it would be interesting to see how the AI stacks up.
>>2884Nice drawing anon
>Do you enter or can you enter the artist's style?Yes but it only works on famous artists I think, for a more niche one you would have to specifically finetune the AI model which would take much more resources. The model I'm using is finetuned for a specific anime style probably to ensure consistent results (the model was leaked from novel.ai's subscription service site so now anyone can use it for free). It has lots of limitations, the more complicated the pose is the more likely it'll fuck up. It works best for basic pinups.
>>2825qyoot!
>>2838>someone actually drew a big honker alunyathank you based drawfriend
>>2881>the archetype of our board-tan has made it into the machine godpraise the Omnisaihhah!

Yeah, I'm feelin' it…
>>3250Stalin pointing while red army stands with red flags is so cool! But mkay… Your subjective reaction to a subjective reflection of art….
