Not to shill for the incompetent fascists in charge but this isn't a new thing for Navy galleys. I've seen worse pictures, from different times.
Basically they just run out of supplies while underway and have to ration until they're able to resupply. I think the Lincoln hasn't been able to resupply for a while which is why it's like this (and why the DoD has been posting propaganda showing better food quality on other ships that are fully supplied).
You might be wondering "where is the 1 trillion dollars going if the logistics are this bad" and the answer is private contractors who overcharge 100x (without exaggeration) for basic supplies. They're paid obscene amounts of money to skimp on servicemember quality of life. And no one in power has any interest in changing this because they are bought off and/or they don't want to lose the jobs in their districts.
I guarantee that extra 500 billion that Trump wants for the military will not change this dynamic at all, all of it will go towards weapons contractors, and every fancy new toy it pays for will be dogshit. Including the "Trump class" battleships. Incidentally battleships were decommissioned for a reason, they're clunky pieces of shit and have been made obsolete in modern missile warfare, they're sitting ducks. Not surprised a retarded senile boomer like Trump wants them back for aesthetic reasons.

Japan and South Korea might be enthralled by the US to an extent but they are "real" states in that they did manage their economy, built up heavy industry and became internationally competitive against american wishes. Afghanistan had a tremendous GDP growth after the invasion and during the occupation but they didn't leverage any of those investments toward building up the country and its economy. It's just since the Taliban's who are retarded fascist religgers that you see the kind of big projects the country needs to eventually lift up which says a lot about how corrupt the previous administration was.

when was this. If you are talking about the 50s and early 60s that was eventually not the case. Starting with the mid 60s, the new park regime started pushing the economy into a more self reliant and independent direction. The usa didnt want south korea to engage in its heavy industrialization push (hci drive). The koreans had to pursue alt forms of finance (japan and etc) just so to fund the big heavy industry push.
You dont see anything comparable to this in afghanistan, lol
